First time here, and probably will be my last. Staff wasn’t welcoming or eager to help at all. It felt like I was bothering the staff with questions because of their nonchalant behavior. However, I did see some effort from one staff member but it was clearly forced and felt so awkward I wanted to leave. Second star is for the location and parking availability.

do NOT come here. The manager is incredibly rude, had such a nasty tone I don't know how she was picked as manager. Also, if you're coming to this location for a haircut, don't even THINK about it! Especially the stylist Cindy. She doesn't honor her price, and charges extra for blow drying. No other location does this, I've been to many different locations for hair. She tells you that at the very end. Worst experience ever in Ulta...they'll just hire everybody. The haircut also made my hair uneven. Avoid Cindy and the wild, distasteful manager.

I ran in here quickly to get a lipstick , I was lucky to find an employee near the Kylie lipsticks to help me with ease, now for the checkout , absolutely horrible and rude. There were no signs or anything pointing to where the checkout line began, 1 cashier and it was busy. I wax standing at 1 end and after 5 minutes the cashier asked if I was there for a pick up order I said no, she said I was in the wrong line, as I went to move to where she rudely told me, suddenly there were 6 people, after another 5 minutes she called for another cashier, then there were 3 and the line finally moved, tge cashier I ended up with was wonderful and friendly. Won’t be coming back to this ulta

Wish I could rate anything below 1. The salon staff is the worst they have no clue on how to manage the appointments. I called to confirm the appointment and they confirmed it over the call as well as over the msg! After reaching there at 3:45 for an 4 o clock appointment at 4:30 i am being told it’s canceled and they have another appointment. Never going back or would recommend anyone else too

Love having an ulta in Simi valley. I come for all things beauty and more 😍 Lana in the salon in the back sometimes does my make up for special occasions. She pays attention to detail and to what I like. She applies beautiful glam lashes for me and I leave feeling like $1 million.

My wife and I stopped by this Ulta store because we were shopping at the other shops. She wanted to see if they had her shampoo here. When we walked inside, they were not busy at all for July 4th. The employees where standing around on their phones since there was no customers. The moment we walked in, other customers started to come in as well. My wife found her shampoo with the help of an employee. When it was time to pay, it did take a while since there was only 1 cashier and she was stuck helping a customer trying to return something. It wasn't until like 5 minutes later that she asked for someone else to come up and they were able to help us.

I like ulta, it doesn’t matter if it’s this location or another. They have products I like and the rewards system is great.
I decided to use my saved up points at their salon a week ago. Can you guess where it’s going?
I don’t know if the “stylist” (if that’s what I have to call her) was new or just totally uninterested in cutting my hair. I sat down and told her what I’ve only ever told any stylist, long layers around my face and about an inch of layers in the back.
She immediately complicated it. I almost walked out but chose to stick it out.
She went to work hacking away at the front layers, and I asked her about the back and she acted irritated like I hadn’t told her I wanted about an inch of layers in the back. I even asked her if it was okay to do the back too, an inch… imagine me asking the stylist if that’s okay. She acted annoyed like it’s not her job.
When she was done I asked her to recommend a good shampoo and again here came the uninterested attitude. It was so awkward as we stood in the haircare section. She had no clue what to recommend.
I left the salon looking stupid with my hair beyond frizzy and still half wet.
And of course my hair was uneven, I had to fix it myself at home.
And I paid for this treatment. Imagine that, I paid money for this experience.

I was recommend to Lana by a friend who wouldn't stop raving about how awesome she is. And after seeing her last cut and color and having major hair envy I finally made my appointment with her. So I went in with high expectations hoping my hair would come out as fabulous as my friends. Okay so Ulta walking in is Ulta, they have lots of products for all your beauty needs. There's a bunch of staff to answer questions and help you find what you need. Pretty much what you would expect from Ulta. Now back to the important part of my review......... my hair, okay so my hair came out INCREDIBLE!!! I mean absolutely amazing. I got a cut and color and it's seriously the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. And to be honest my hair is not easy to cut. I hate to say it by I kinda have weird hair. It's not quite curly and not quite straight. I guess you could say it's wavy. But for sure not easy to cut and style. But Lana had no issue with it. So I'm obsessed with my new hair and I'm so thankful my friend shared her secret with me. So I thought why not write a review and share with my fellow yelpers.

Ulta is one a stop shop for all your professional beauty needs! You will find hair products used at salons, makeup, perfume and more! The store also offers a hair salon and hair removal. The staff is very friendly at this shop and aim to help customers. Great to see at a store! My frustration with this store is that they always seem to be low in inventory. They don't offer a lot of any one product in the hair department. Well at least the items I seek! Always frustrating to have to jaunt to another store or order online.
