First, I would like to say that the products this store has are awesome; fine quality and a great selection.The low score is based off of my service experience there. It happened in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and because small businesses were really hurting during that time, I could not write this review at that time.When I visited the store at that time, I inquired regarding one of the beautiful tables, as I was looking for one. The lady said it would cost too much and made another recommendation. She did the same thing about one of the chairs as well. I did not appreciate the assumption that I could not afford items there for sale. When I called later to complain to the manager, she did not act like she cared. Both interactions were very disappointing.

We could not be more pleased to have stumbled into The Home Connection (after a cocktail at High Roller Tiki next door) where we met the owner Donna who suggested an awesome product Polywood for outdoor seating around our new firepit (installed by TCT Landscaping). Donna is incredibly knowledgeable about this product and the showroom has a good-sized sample of the products to try out yourself. She helped us get the order placed, shipping was 1-2 weeks earlier than the estimate. Donna & her husband came by our house to even help with the setup.

This store is WONDERFUL! We popped in on a whim on our last day before heading back to Texas. I noticed the gorgeous hand painted mugs in the window and knew I needed one.The shop ladies are very helpful and kind, and I love that they have sections of the store dedicated to local artisans. I walked away with lots of unique Christmas gifts that I know my family will adore.

Right before Safer at Home became official, Dear Hubby and I took a day trip to the Santa Ynez Valley. We spent part of the afternoon strolling in Solvang. This is one of the stores we stopped in during our wanderings. It's beautifully displayed, with many different feature areas. From unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, to home accents of many different types, there's much to see and consider here. Full retail is in effect, and some of the items seem very pricey, which is the reason for a one star reduction. Still, I found it very enjoyable to browse their selections, enjoying the stylish displays. I did find several items to take home, plus picked up a couple small gifts. I particularly love a silicone spatula I bought here, which has an ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. I don't know how they'll manage reopening / whether they offer buy online and pickup with minimal contact. I hope that they'll be able to survive the Coronavirus situation!

We've been regulars with each visit to Solvang (3-4 times a year). They have some unusual items, and they are definitely the go to place in Solvang area. The disturbing thing was that after driving up the hill from Santa Barbara, we needed a restroom. The lady in the store recognized my wife, but no dice. She wasn't about to let her use a restroom. She pointed her down the street to the public restroom. No one else was in the store. It's a shame that she chose to treat a regular customer in that fashion. After having spent quite a bit of money over the many years we have been coming up, it was a bit surprising. So we will take our business elsewhere. We were looking for an Amish dining room set. They should consider basic kindness more carefully.

In addition to furnishing our living and dining rooms, we are constantly finding items that improve our cooking, dining and serving needs. They also have great gifts and kid's games. No trip to Solvang is complete without stopping in here.

We always find something, be it a kitchen gadget, kid's toy, birthday card, Christmas goodies or my favorite, really cute tea towels. Reasonably priced too. Half of the furniture in our house is from The Home Connection. Made in America, Amish, and excellent workmanship. It is one of the businesses we check out on every visit. The owners are way cool too!

Most adorable store I've been in at Solvang. If I could, I'd buy it all. Beautifully presented, are items for your house practical to decorative. A must go-to.

Don't buy furniture online- that's crazy! ;-) we wandered in and were very pleasantly surprised by the locally owned and operated store that could provide new Amish-made furniture. Beautifully made dining room set and bar stools. They're definitely a wonderful operation.

Such a cute store and we were able to find some cooking stuff that you never think you need until you see it and then you wonder how did you live without it? The lady working here was super sweet.

I love this store! You can literally do all your Christmas or holiday shopping here. They have beautiful hand crafted furniture also. In December they have a 20% off sale.
