My wife and I visited this souvenir shop, and unfortunately, we had a negative experience with one of the staff member (in the picture). While my wife was browsing the sweaters, the staff member stood nearby, watching closely in a way that felt uncomfortable. When my wife decided not to purchase a sweater, she folded it back neatly and returned it to its place. Immediately after, the staff member rudely grabbed the sweater, and when my wife commented on the behavior, the staff responded dismissively with, 'Whatever.'
Additionally, we noticed the staff warmly greeted other customers but did not extend the same courtesy to us when we entered. This treatment left us feeling unwelcome and singled out, which was disappointing. I hope the management addresses this to ensure all customers feel respected and valued, regardless of their background. This happened today February 8, 2025 at 1655.

Shop keeper comes off as rude and wouldn't keep her eyes off my family as if we were going to steal something from her store. After approaching us, we realized she was singling us out as she kept her eyes on my son's stroller and as we shopped around, she made sure to let us know that she was closing very soon. If you don't look like her, be very cautious of coming into the store.

They have items in the store that they make themselves right in Santa Ynez CA. The selection is impressive with something for everyone in the family. Everything in the store is reasonably priced and made good quality. Next time you visit Solvang check it out!

This gift shop had a variety of cute gifts. In my opinion it has reasonable prices. When I was ready to pay, the cashier never made eye contact or even a "hello". She came across rude to me.

I got a small fridge magnet and it was so cute. The have so many cute gifts with good qualities. I just wish I have space at home so I could buy the decorations that they have. Never seen such nice qualities of goodies in any gift stores I ever visited.

GETTING HERE: The Right Gift is located on the corner of Mariposa and Alisal Road in Solvang. Look for the Solvang Windmill! REVIEW: This is one of my most favorited/frequented gift shops in the Solvang area. I seem to most often find parking near here so it just makes good sense. There is a very large variety of souvenirs here, probably one of almost everything. You could be "one and done" here and find "the right gift" but don't limit yourself. Explore the other shops as well. There is so much to enjoy about Solvang. :) There was really one thing that soured my most recent visit: a lady (which I assume was the owner) was talking with her employee about personnel issues (including scheduling, asking for time off, procedures, etc.) I'm fully aware that life doesn't stop when you own a business, I just didn't need to hear all the nitty gritty and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, I found some stickers to commemorate this recent visit to Solvang. And, another bonus thing (IMO) about this gift shop is that the items are very reasonably priced. Come and enjoy and immerse yourself to your heart's content.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I have to this time. I found this cute viking magnet with sword and shield. When I got to my hotel at night and opened the bag, it was missing the shield. I went back to the store at 6:40, the store was closed already. I checked the store hrs online before I went to the store, and they were supposed to close at 7:30. I was ok with it since I could come back before I leave the town. I went back the next morning at 10am which was supposed to be their opening time. They weren't open. So, I went to a bakery and came back, they were still closed. I really wanted to exchange it, so I waited until 10:20. I couldn't and didn't want to wait anymore. I had to drive 2.5 hrs back home in the rain. So my viking will never get his shield. I had fun weekend at Solvang, but this store just ruined everything.

Such an awesome gift shop in Solvang. It is definantly a one stop shop for all your last minute Christmas shopping and souvenir needs. They had a wide variety of Danish and European souvenirs. They had everything from magnets, coffee mugs, kitchen accessories. jewelry, bags, clothing, and more. I had a great time just browsing around the store looking at everything and was able to finish up all my Christmas shopping. A must stop while in Solvang.

If you're looking to buy some Solvang souvenirs, this is definitely the spot for it. I didn't end up buying anything, but my sis did. They had many Danish items. I love the candles in there as they smelled really good. It's also in this windmill building, which was really cool.

I didn't go to EVERY gift shop in Solvang, but I definitely walked through a few. This one had the most variety and reasonable prices in my opinion. Danish clogs, faux tulips, and more unique memorabilia. This is a one-stop shop for souvenirs!

If you’re looking for the perfect gift from Solvang this is the place. Lots of solving themed memorabilia. You can even find wooden shoes here. Everything inside is reasonably priced and the staff is nice.
