This place is so amazing, love the Daylily selections available: yellow, orange, purple, long/short varieties, every one of them gorgeous and healthy. The owner is especially nice and welcoming. When I call to let him know what I'm looking for, he has my order ready before I arrive. I highly recommend this buisness if you are looking for gorgeous healthy daylilies and excellent service.

I make a trip here at least once a year. All of their Daylilies are suited for Southern California, and everything I've bought from them has grown really well. Most rebloom several times a year. They are also very friendly and give great advice on growing their plants.

While Autumn isn't the prettiest time to visit Greenwood Daylily Gardens, the gracious welcome we received yesterday during Ventura County Farm Day made it extra special. Owner John greeted us right away, providing an overview of the property. He urged a visit in the spring, when all the flowers would be in their glory. In an open air shed behind their giant logo sign, samples of daylilies and irises showed off their pretty blossoms. Bare root plants were available for sale, so we are going to try two of the lilies and one iris. I have a feeling that we'll be back for more! Off to one side, other favorites like geraniums (pelargoniums) cheerfully bloomed. Knowledgeable staffers were on hand to answer questions about what kind of care each type of plant required. As an extra treat, free posters of their signature plants were offered for free. I happily wandered on the highly weathered wooden floors of the shed while choosing a few items to buy. In a past life, I must have lived in the country. :-) This quirky place felt like home to me.

Easy transplanting with no frustrations in watering! This is the second time I have bought from here and having actual dirt in the cans makes a big differance! The catalog gives growing hits beyond the basics. I bought lilac Snowy Beach Party after seeing it at the Huntington and after six weeks of growth the plant and surrounding soil both absorb at the same rate.
