One of the worst pharmacies I have ever been to, I understand that the workload has increased since Rite Aid closed. But it seems like they make little effort to Incorporate the customers from Rite Aid. They have a phone recording specifically for the patrons of Rite Aid. Which no one ever answers. After ringing for quite a while it tells you that the pharmacist is not taking messages to hang and call again. I've called 15-20 times no one ever answers. Not much help when I went in and talked to them in person.

Transferred from rite aid when they closed. Never have we had an issue getting medication before and now Every Single Time we have a problem. It takes so long that medications run out before it’s addressed. No one answers the phone, I called SIX times today and nothing. When I go in, I am in line for on average 40 minutes. Called the provider today and she said Safeway is the worst and recommended cvs or Walmart because she always has issues with this pharmacy.

We were here fairly late on a weekend while out of town. The late closing time was so convenient for us as we arrived to Twain Harte around 10pm. Location was clean, and the one woman working the register was polite and welcoming. Definitely will be going to more Safeway locations while out of town. Highly recomend.

I'm one of the Rite Aid customers that was transferred when Rite Aid closed. I was told my prescriptions were bought by Safeway. I was told to be patient that things are changing at Safeway and that it will be okay. I agree that the staff is good and even though I have to stand in line I understand they are getting used to all the new customers and have been hiring new staff. YET, Calling to talk to someone to transfer or refill my medications at this pharmacy has been a nightmare. When I called to get set up with this pharmacy I had to spend 51 minutes of none stop calling them back before someone picked up the phone to help me get my transferred meds set up with the pharmacy. I was told then, that I was set up for my meds to be auto-filled if it could be; but I've had to call them up for everyone of them. And as each one needs filled I have to keep calling them and the whole waiting for an actual person to answer me starts all over again.
Just so you know, When you call; and chose to be talk to staff, the phone rings and rings and after about 10 rings a message comes on telling you that the mailbox is either full or is not taking messages at this time...To call 911 if it's an emergency and if not you are instructed to call again.
Which I did today for over two hours and still no live person picked up. Since the reviews seemed to be answered by a human I figured I'd let you know how frustrating this phone issue is. I really love shopping for food here at Safeway...yet I'm having a very hard time with not being able to talk to someone about getting my meds filled. Could you please hire some people to actually answer your phones. You have Great staff, I just feel your phone system is being over looked and I'm being ignored. Please help.

Great pharmacy before they took on all the rite aid customers. Now the lines are as much as 40 mins long, and to top it off they're not able to get enough of some medications to cover everyone. I'm going to have to drive to Modesto tomorrow for one of my meds. Y'all shouldn't have taken on that many customers if you couldn't handle it, and now the customer gets to pay for it.

The workers they do have are great but they took on rite aids customers and didn’t hire more people to work. The line is 20 people long and takes 30-45 mins to pickup a prescription.

Since Rite Aide customers have been forced to go to other pharmacies, Safeway is taking too many days instead of hours to fill prescriptions. Bring in more staff until things get settled down, please.

This is my 1st time using this pharmacy in years. The line was 11 people long. I wasnt waiting long got to the clerk and Amber was her name. Got me my son's rx fast. One was only ready and she said it be 30min to hr for the others. But she said let me see if I can get them to put the others up next. She came back and told me it be like 30min to wait just in the isle and they can call me. Well as I was checking out the others were ready. I. Very thankful that she asked for me as I had just got off working and my feet were killing me lol. I find it odd that they fill one rx but not the others during the same time. Instead of doing one and going on to another patient rx. But thanks to sweet Amber we are done and ready to go home put up these tired feet!

I was given a prescription that required a pre- approval from the insurance provider. The pre-approval was given and was good through October of 2025. Each time, I have to follow-up on the prescription and have been told it has been rejected through their system (3rd Party Vendor) and they need to call tech support to have them override it. This time, they said they need a new pre-approval because the doctor increased the dosage, not true. Now, I have my insurance provider calling them. The staff at the front counter are very professional but I am not too impressed with the Pharmacist and their familiarity with their payment system processing when an override is needed. I am beyond frustrated.

WEnt in to get booster Covid shots. Had all their paperwork completed.A Disinterested clerk told us a two hour wait (even though at 9:15 it most definitely was not busy).She wouldn't even willing to make appts. for the two of us. Told us to get on line ourselves a make appts.I remarked that we were going to the Rite Aid and would not be back!Rite Aid people were very nice, and we got in there and out and drove home. Still would have had to wait at Safeway for over another hour.Safeway help and courtesyRite Aid

One of the best pharmacy experiences I’ve ever had….Very nice and compassionate pharmacist and amazing front assistant….They deserve a five star review EASY!!!!Thank you for all the help in filling my unavailable prescription and thank you for showing you really care about people’s well being!!!
