Gerry Rodriguez opened an account for me today. He was an incredibly personable, professional, intelligent, lovely bank employee to meet as my first experience with Wells Fargo in Sonora. He had Outstanding Customer Service skills and it was easy to tell, he really cared about his job and his customers. Excellent people like Gerry make it highly likely that I will be a lifelong supporter and customer of WFB. Thanks for hiring him!

Update your hours on Yelp! It says you are open 9-12 on Saturday, got there and it was closed.

We have had nothing but trouble at this bank. My mom banks here and they do not deal with her issues. No one knows what they are doing and the only time she gets help is if one of her children goes with her. She is 90 and gets confused sometimes but they just write her off. As soon as I can we are going to Wells Fargo for her. They suck !!!!

The UGLY fish neck that does notaries refused to notarize a very important document I needed for an imperative meeting I had. So fine. Took it to the UPS store and got it done there immediately, no problem :) Thanks for being Useless yet once again, Wells Fargo. Not only does Wells Fargo set up fake customers accounts and steal their money, they practice age discrimination! My helpful tip would be to avoid this Joke of a business altogether, especially if you need something notarized. Get your notary done at the UPS store by Walmart instead, they're kind, quick and understanding. They wont sit around asking you useless questions when you have better things to do with your time, like watch paint dry, for instance. :)

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for a long time and I gotta be honest, I have never been that impressed, there has always been a lot of red tape and 'policies' that I didn't care for. Today, I had to stop a money order that the person I had made it out to had lost. Unfortunately, I did not have a receipt and the banker told me, to begin with, that I needed the receipt to stop it. It was a drawn out affair, and the banker told me there was nothing she could do. My almost $700 money order was in limbo... In the end, however, the banker called me after I had left (admittedly i had left pretty disgruntled), knowing that something didn't seem right and told me that she had finally found the money order and that she could indeed fix it. I have been in customer service situations with a disgruntled guest before, so I can really appreciate how she handled the situation. She kept thinking about it after I left, resolved the situation, and apologized for the inconvenience when I came back. That is customer service - admitting when you are wrong and doing something about it. Thank you Kristin, you saved me a world of hassle!! I hope your bosses know that you retained this customer, as I seriously thought about leaving for a minute there... thanks again, you saved me a lot of time and money!

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! I had been a happy Wells Fargo customer for many, many years before I moved to Sonora from the Bay Area and opened a checking account in this branch. MY "personal banker" -- a pleasant twenty-something young man -- talked a good game, but botched nearly everything he did for me. Finally I came into the branch with a serious problem and my "Personal Banker" started giggling, and wouldn't stop, even when I demanded to know what was so funny. It was creeping me out, but I just needed to get out some cash and didn't get into it ; I was polite to him and everyone else there. But something was clearly off with him and I decided to change my "Personal Banker" the next time I went to the bank. Two days later I got a phone message from Sacramento, from a man in the Wells Fargo "Security Division" who asked me to call him back. I was terrified that someone had stolen my identity -- why else would someone call me from Security?. I called back twice, the second time saying that I was very concerned and would appreciate knowing right away what this was about. I didn't sleep well for two days and was really worried. Finally on the third day he called me back. He said he was called by someone at the Greeley Hill/Mono Way branch because I had "made insulting statements about bank staff," and when he related things I had allegedly said -- they were not only utterly ridiculous and untrue, but downright bizarre -- he stated straight out that he didn't believe me, and when I asked him why, he said 'I just don't,ma'amm." In my entire life nothing like this has ever happened to me. He refused to tell me who had made these claims (he said I would "go there and make a scene"), and in what context, or who had called him. He told me to take my business to another bank! His manner was cold and insulting. And if it wasn't weird enough, he asked me "is it true you're from Los Angeles? Did you tell that to someone in the bank?" Since when Is being from Los Angeles (originally) a crime? Those Security men at Wells Fargo in Sacramento are going to be very busy if that's the case. Too busy to take care of my business...or yours. I don't intend to go to another bank. Whoever did this is going to apologize, and have to see me every time I go there. I love the online banking -- better than any bank I've been with, and it's the only Wells Fargo bank within 75 miles of my house near Yosemite. I'm currently in touch with two honchos at the top of the Wells Fargo food chain (hooray for the Internet!) to straighten this out and get an apology and an explanation. If this can to a disabled senior lady, it could happen to you. This nonsense is the living end, and NOT what the "Security Division" should be doing (aren't they supposed to be protecting and serving by keeping our money safe?). Wells Fargo used to be an excellent bank, and probably still is, but NOT THIS BRANCH!

I wish Yelp would have negative stars or some rating system that would reflect how bad this place is This is an update. NEVER go here. These people are complete morons when it comes to customer service, basic math, and their own bank policies. I had to get on my cell phone with my personal Wells Fargo rep in Sacramento to get what I needed. I'm not a local small town moron you can intimidate just because you don't want to do your job!! The other branch they opened in the junction isn't much better. They don't take pride in their work, or even really care if they are serving their customers. The attitude here is who cares. They are the only Wells Fargo in the area and to go to another you'll need to drive 45 minutes!
