“I surprised my boyfriend with the metal clay dome pendant class where we got to learn how to make pendants from metal clay! Our instructor was Rae Rodriguez, who is very knowledgeable on the subject, she is amazing, talented, patient, fun, all around wonderful teacher! My boyfriend and I walked away with two amazing pendants, and he said it was one of the coolest things we ever done! We will be coming back for more classes!”

“I have only had one experience 'inside' the building, where the kindest most sincere lady helped guide me through some quirky steps of processing into some helpful resources, when i was completely in the dark about how wonderfully comforting some available resources can be for us (in times when were not so well off). I have benefitted so well, that I AM compelled to give back when i have the chance.***Giving & Sharing, as random acts of kindness & generosity, to folks and outfits that make a difference for the community/families on up to even Global Issues of Nations... has shown me & countless others, I'm certain, A WHOLE NEW FORM OF LOVING AND REALLY CARING FOR EACH OTHER, no matter where we hail from.??Mountain Community Resources' FOOD SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAM (every Thursday 10:00 am- Noon) is something that everybody should experience. I simply have not seen a staff so dedicated in compassion & warmth of heart as this crew. Kinship is prevalent in their service, as well as with the participators attending the eventv.A 5-star rating to Mountain Community Resources and their elite staff of volunteers.Much Love, Appreciation, and Powerful Respect... I and a very unique and colorful SLV Community HAS FOR EACH ONE OF YOU. Thank you.???~Craig N.”

“This run as is authentically as fun as Santa Cruz. Big thank you’s to the community, City of Capitola. City of Santa Cruz run volunteers and all of the great runner participants. Any event that starts at the beach with the Beach boys Kokomo blaring and 16,000 people lined up ready to go is worthy of support and participation. You could feel nothing but wonderful enthusiasm and energy revering a wonderful day with especially exquisite views.5stars to the Cruz Wharf to Wharf”

“A pretty nice thrift store ! Found what I needed quickly. They have a 50% off sale every 2nd Saturday ! Good stuff. Reasonable prices on most stuff. Fairly good quality items. They also have a return policy for store credit if your item doesn't work or has a problem. Great ! A great resource for the Santa Cruz area. “Wonderful! We had a lil baby hummingbird that fell and we thought he was dead so I called NAR and they told me to look at his eyes if they are moving/blinking at first they weren’t so I hung up all sad. Then about 30 minutes later I see him moving his head around! I called back again and they had someone come over to my work within 20 minutes! I was still sad and asked if they thought he was save able and she said they had great people there they could save him! Oh I was so happy. I asked if the y could call me with the outcome and she said they usually do! Thank you!”

“It's a Friday and I'm here when most people are at work. Despite the cold weather, the few people I have encountered make the place warm. I'm happy to see signs expressing openness to diversity. I was also glad to see a bookstore, something I know is dying in some if not most parts of the world.”

“Wonderful little soup kitchen that does the best job making each lunch with dignity and compassion despite being Catholic.Surprisingly, Catholic churches these days seem to be the only Christian Churches who aren't completely self-absorbed.”

“It is a great place to receive help and find different programs to fulfill your needs. You can get medical help, housing or even help with recovery. It's really great the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are drugs in the area and all the people around the area bring it down. If you're a recovering addict like myself and my husband it really tests you each and everyday. So if you're not really strong in your recovery then I would steer clear and if you are and are having a bad day stay away. If you're looking for that start or opportunity to change your life here is the best place to start.”

“Wonderful facility with all sorts of recreational facilities. Close to the town of Felton, and the cities of Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz. And close to mountain and beach recreation as well. Not to mention the outdoor amphitheater. Definitely coming back!”
