Couldn't find anything I needed at Home Depot or anyone to help me. Realized San Lorenzo Lumber was right across the street so I ran over. My experience there was the opposite in every way. Friendly greeter at the door pointed me in the right directly. Knowledgeable sales person was there and led me to exactly what I needed. Next time I'll shop San Lorenzo first and skip Home Despot!

The guys in the tool section are great. The yard sucks. Three people didn’t bother to help me load some siding after seeing I couldn’t do it alone, and phoned in someone else to do it. No one ever came or decided to just help while my truck load of OSB got rained on and I walked around the yard looking for help. So I drove away.

If you haven't been to San Lorenzo Lumber lately, I suggest you give it a shot! The customer service was excellent! It's not as big as the other major home supply stores, that's what makes it so much easier to find what you need. They have sales people on the floor that are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. One of the sales reps ,Stuart helped us by answering our questions about the different brands of tools and equipment. Reasonable prices, extremely well organized products and a very relaxed atmosphere. Stuart was an excellent rep he knew about every product and its history. My husband and I totally enjoyed going there. My new go to store when I need building supplies and tools.

Helpful staff.. Penny's more exspensive than Home Depot. If it comes down to it, I choose helpful staff.

The person helping me was not super knowledgeable (showed me the sink in stock but couldn't find the price, pointed out extraction fans on sale but didn't know how to pick the most appropriate one), was slow and hard to hear, and disappeared while I still needed help. The cabinets were overpriced compared to what I had quoted elsewhere. Smaller selection of things like faucets, toilets. Small purchases were more expensive here (screws, wire, lubricant, etc). I did find a few good deals on clearance (lighting).

Great customer service. Everyone is willing to drop what they are doing to make sure you find exactly what you need.

The manager Gabriel is perhaps the most rude person I have encountered in decades. The staff are not so great either. HOWEVER, when the staff could not answer my question and they surmised that Gabriel was needed, there was an apprehensive look on all of their face as of they knew he would not like to be bothered. They were right, he was dismissive and borderline hostile to me. I will NEVER go there again and I have let everyone I know in SC to steer clear of this place. A hostile environment trickles down from the top teirs. Most likely Gabriel is miserable because his superiors are as well. I shared this with a couple of other friends and they agreed that this place had the most rude and disagreeable employees.

Great lumber, and doors. Always friendly people working here. Sometimes their tools and hardware can be hit or miss though.

Didn’t catch his name, but he was helpful on the phone. I was looking for lattice & he was able to help me get the pricing. Quick, friendly, and professional.

Best place to find real tools, hardware, and wood. Ask for the contractors discount. Line is slow. People who work here are very good and helpful. Ask if you need any help.

I bought $250 in lumber. Got home and worked on some of the wood for a couple hours and found live termites! Went back to the store, expecting a full refund and maybe even a little store credit for my trouble and time wasted. Not only did the yard manager not refund me all of the wood, he said he plans to sell the termite infested wood back to other customers. I was very confused and disappointed by the terrible customer service. Would love for them to get in touch with me and make it right but I'm not holding my breath. This is not the San Lorenzo lumber I remember from years ago
