“Very thankful to have found Exotic Pet Clinic for our rabbits! We first reached out when we found a lump on one of our rabbit's back and another vet closer to us diagnosed it as suspicious and possibly a tumor. We called Exotic Pet Clinic because we wanted to talk to a vet that specializes in rabbits and could perform surgery if needed, and Exotic Pet Clinic was super accommodating. The receptionist took down notes, requested records from our local vet, and their vet reached out to us within a few hours to let us know next steps. We were able to make an appointment quickly after to get a diagnostic with Dr. Deng, who was super nice and patient with our questions. Made the whole situation much less stressful for us after we talked to her. We scheduled a surgery to remove the lump with Dr. Stern for the week after. The day of the surgery, Dr. Stern kept us updated via text, and the clinic staff checked in on us the following days via text. We really appreciated how caring, helpful, and responsive everyone at the clinic was, from the vets to the staff!”
“I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel I must.
I have now been a client of Scotts Valley Vet for over a year. I have two young cats a middle aged dog. When we rescued our kittens they were sick, very sick. I originally had been taking our pets to the local vet and ran into so many issues with the sick kitties. When you have animals that are not well and need constant follow up, it is stressful. I ended up going to another highly regarded local vet and yet again, same story. I found it very challenging to get help for sick kitties that needed a lot of follow up.
Finally, after reading so many reviews on Nextdoor, Google, Yelp and word of mouth...I called SVV. Just that initial phone call with the front desk was already impressive. They shared the background and philosophy of the practice. I immediately felt relief and I knew I was going to be in good hands. I have to drive 20-25 min out of my way to go to SVV, and it is worth every mile.
Each and every staff member is amazing. The front desk is welcoming and attentive. The facility is clean, up to date, and cared for. The Veterinarians are amazing. I have only worked with two so far and I must say, I am so pleased I made the transition. They take the time to talk with you. They listen AND hear you. They are gentle and engaged with your pets. They are thorough. They are reasonable and I have never felt they try to upsell you. In fact, each and every visit they took the time to try and find better prices by the way they ordered labs etc. They gave plan A,B,C and gave me the power to choose with their expert opinion. On my last appointment I had lab work done on all three animals. I received a phone call from the Vet that same day reviewing the labs, discussing the abnormal values. What the labs meant and how to move forward. Then next morning ,I received a text message with a follow up on more labs that came in. Also with explanation of the abnormal values, with follow up plan options. I never once called. I didn't get a random email with results and no follow up. I dont have to follow up because they are SO on top of it. Side note, we also discussed all the improvements and hurdles we accomplished with the sick kitties. We have over come so much and I felt so supported along the way. I thought we would loose one if not both cats. They are so healthy and happy. I am a RN and with great confidence I refer anyone I come across looking for a vet to their practice. If you are reading this and need a vet, read, look no further. SVV is the BEST. You will be in great hands.”

“I've been a client here for 4+ years, and what keeps me coming back is that they never over-treat or make you feel bad as a pet owner — they work with you in partnership to figure out the best goals and decisions for your pet's care and treatments. Piper's an 84-pound lab/German shepherd mix who isn't exactly a fan of vet visits, but this team handles her with grace every time. They went out of their way to work around my schedule to get her appointment set up, and the care she got once we were there was excellent. Really appreciate it — highly recommend. “Dr. Keil and her team are amazing! I brought them my 2 cats for their check ups, vaccines and flea and tic medicine. I was so impressed with how kind they were answering all my questions before we were even seen and the same kindest continued for both of my cats appointments. I really appreciated having appointment options in the Scopazzis parking lot! My cats were well cared for and all of my questions about their treatment plans and health were answered. 10/10 recommend and we will be back!!”

“Brought my brand new kittens is for a well check visit with Dr. Nicola Mohr and it was a great visit. Dr. Mohr is so knowledgeable and helpful with questions about the kittens I felt really good leaving the appointment. Dr. Mohr has taken care of many of my previous pets and she even remembered my girl Willow who she operated on and who passed away 7+ years prior. Super impressive, but it just goes to show how competent she is and how caring she is towards any animals brought her way. I really like and trust Dr. Mohr and all the veterinarians at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital. I highly recommend this hospital for all your pet needs.”

In my dog’s 12 years of life with different doctors, she is the best Vet because she is kind, empathetic, and appears to genuinely cares for my dog. I am grateful to have an amazing care team. Plus, the receptionists and vet techs are all so sweet! In February, my dog was attacked, and the doctors and staff were so understanding and knew exactly what to do to help Muneca (my dog) recover. She is doing amazing, and her teeth are so clean thanks to their Dental Cleaning service, which guided me in taking better care of her teeth.”
