Curbside pickup is the worse here, my pick up was 10-11. It's 11:30 and apparently my order isn't close to being ready. This is the 2nd time my order hasn't been ready when it's scheduled to be picked up. The last time it took 2 hrs of waiting in the parking lot....pass the pick up time.

This happened to me at Sams Club Southgate a place I've given total loyalty to over 30 years as an employee and former associate who opened the store back in 1986.Self checkout is bad enough for replacing workers but when the store manager does this, and at first blamed me and was unapologetic for inconveniencing me until I told him my experience and physical health challenges Well then that's it!!!!2 days agoNEWI've shopped here for 30 years, felt a special loyalty due to having worked there for 7 years as I went through schooling and was even manager there. Today , that's all over!3/4 of my way through my self checkout transaction, I was approached by the member service associate who told me I needed to transfer everything in my cart to a new cart. I said, "I can't!" Can you?" It was 6 heavy cases of water and 4 large liquid detergent containers and a 3 pack of bleach among other lighter items.He told me if I can't transfer my merchandise than I have to get in a cashier assisted line. I told him "I know what I'm doing and I've been a member for 30 years." He said the store manager is requesting that I transfer everything. No offer to help. Nobody else was transferring their merchandise.I asked, "Where is the posted policy that members who can't transfer merchandise have to use cashier lines?" The associate says, "The manager is asking that you transfer sir!"I walked out.First, I have heart failure and rapid heartbeat if I exert myself. Having already lifted 5 cases of water into the cart, there's no way I'm transferring it to another cart. 2nd I have my system, I know what I'm doing, and I always count my items to ensure accuracy. Upon calling the store to speak to manager. He says, he saw that I was having difficulty scanning to ensure accuracy that I will scan everything." This is the store manager!!!!So he's worried that I might not scan a $20 item vs. offering assistance.I will end my 30 years of membership and loyalty. I've never gone to Costco to stay loyal.I said I was being singled out. Nobody else was being asked to transfer. He said he wasn't singling me out, but he wanted to ensure I didn't make any mistakes in scanning!He was not interested j helping me but rather inconveniencing me further even though I decided to do self checkout.His employee was not interested in helping me either. Just preaching his "policy"For 15 minutes from 12:00-12:15 I called to try to get through to member services. The phone for member services rang more than 10 times. I hung up several times bc no one answered, when I did reach someone, I got hung up on twice.When you shop at South Gate you put up with chaos a lot, very long cashier lines, nobody smiles and offers help. The parking lot is a complete mess. Carts have trash and diapers, and you often have to bring your own cart from the lot, and clean it out.But today loyalty ends!!

Bakery department is so unorganized I placed my order on Oct 8 for cupcakes for 2 different days Oct 27&28 both days I had to wait for them to do them because they were not ready so ridiculous so even if you order ahead they aren't capable of organizing them selves to have orders ready person learn go to another place and get it done.....

Extremely Disappointed with Sugey C's Lackluster Service!I recently had an unpleasant encounter with Sugey C, a cashier at a club in South Gate, CA, located off of Firestone. After this I came to share my negative experience with her lack of professionalism, laziness, and abysmal people skills.Let me begin by emphasizing how frustrated I was with Sugey's absolute laziness. As a cashier, her primary responsibility is to scan items and ensure a smooth checkout process. However, she seemed disinterested and unmotivated to perform even the most basic tasks. Instead of scanning the items in my basket, she appeared to purposely avoid them, creating unnecessary delays and inconveniences. It was evident that Sugey lacked the initiative to fulfill her job requirements properly.Additionally, Sugey's people skills were genuinely appalling. Her lack of courtesy and indifference towards customers was shocking. When I tried to engage in a simple conversation or ask a question, she responded with disinterest and rudeness. It is incredibly disappointing to encounter an employee who demonstrates such a blatant disregard for customer service. I felt unwelcome and unappreciated throughout the entire interaction.As a customer, I expect a certain level of service and respect, especially when visiting a club. Sugey C not only failed to meet these expectations but also managed to create a negative and unpleasant shopping experience. Her laziness and lack of people skills are detrimental to the reputation of the establishment she represents.I hope that the management of this club takes my concerns seriously and addresses the issues surrounding Sugey C's performance. Customers deserve better treatment, and it is crucial to have competent and customer-oriented individuals in positions that require direct interaction with the public.In conclusion, I strongly advise against dealing with Sugey C as a cashier. Her laziness, combined with her terrible people skills, make for an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I sincerely hope that my feedback helps to improve the overall quality of service at this club and prevents other customers from encountering similar issues in the future.

This review is specifically for curbside pickup. On Sunday I placed a curbside pickup order for Monday pickup. I selected 1-2pm because that specifically works with my work schedule. The email says to check in once you receive an email saying your order is ready for pickup. Come 1pm Monday, nothing. I head down there and wait until 2pm and still nothing. I end up going inside and purchasing my items and leave. I finally get an email after 3pm saying my order is ready for pickup. Unacceptable for a service that is PAID for. You have two pay an additional $4 for pickup. Live chat told me to just not pickup my order and I would not be charged for it.

Idk why this place has a low rating. Maybe I came at a good time? The employees were friendly and it wasn't crowded. I love the prices and the way this store is organized. Sam's Club is pretty good at keep categories together. Costco purposely spread things around to make you spend more. It was pretty easy to find things on my list within a reasonable amount of time. I will come back!

Been calling for the past 2 days at different times in the day to try and place a cupcake order, because of my job and other responsibilities I could not come into the store to place the order in person. I went this afternoon after work, needed them for Saturday but since it's less than 48 hours they could not take it.If they answered their phones I would have been able to place my order, but they just let the phone ring nonstop.What kind of customer service is that?

First things first. We basically work for Sam's club now. If you do self check out with your phone you get discounts like 1-2 bucks each item. They tell you your savings. Yes, it's cheaper than walmart but you're buying in bulk. The sushi here sucks. Don't buy it. I made that sad mistake of buying it. Parking here is hard because it's in strip mall with nice small restaurants and shops. The selection here is similar to costco except it's mostly processed foods. Healthy food is meats and produce. Basically the not prepackaged section. Sam's is good if you have a like a big family. Like size of 4-5. You'll end up at least spending 100 dollars with a few items. For me it was 8 items. The food court was very slow and huge line. The food court is very cheap each item is less than 2 dollars. If your really cheap that's worth it. Sam's is for S for spanish. Costco is C for chinese. That's the target demographic of customers. Was using the app check out good? yeah I had some issues connecting to wifi but it's correctly itself over time. The app allows you to to scan the items and you can pay with the credit card providing you signed up online for the membership. Use my referral to sign up: fbuy.io/samsclub/9xnpnw8hI didn't try the gasoline, pharmacy, or eye doctor here. For me the rosemead walmart is good because they actually implemented all my suggestions. It's fast and efficient there except returns. Well for returns walmart loses money. I have year membership. I can't fix the congestion. It's a lot of people. But at least with self checkout with the app. I can leave a bit faster.

Taylon and the staff there are great .I had all my moms prescriptions from Walgreen's switched over to Sam's club Taylon goes the extra mile to make sure you get all your meds on time with no hassle compared to Walgreen's and CVS .I highly recommended getting your prescriptions filled with them always friendly with a great attitude towards all the customers.

Sams club is just deteriorating. Downfall. Costco WOULD NEVER. This south gate location is terrible in their customer service. I have worked in customer service and always put my customer service as a main priority. Terrible. I'm actually saddened that I'll never be back :( but Costco it is! Idk why I ever left bye SAMS

The worst sams club ever starting off with the bakery department. I placed an order for a cake to be done Saturday. Saturday comes and I called to see if it was ready for pick up. They took forever to transfer me to bakery until the team lead finally took my call and said that their printer had malfunction and they couldn't do the design I asked for on the cake. It was literally time for me to pick it up so he should've called me to let me know as soon as he realized they messed the machine. Then he proceeded to tell me he could do another design so I agreed and once I got there the "cake decorator" didn't want to do anything along with another worker the team lead obviously was nowhere in sight. Please do yourself a favor and do not depend on this bakery team for your special occasions.

The services here at Sam's Club SG, was wonderful easy to get in and out. I had a low tire that needed to be fix and Alan the young man took care of tire. (Free of charge) I tried to give Alan a tip, he would not accept it, because! Sam's Club policy!! employee can not accept tips..... in my up bringing we was tough to acknowledge when someone do good by you. Every time I come to Sam's Club I get great service. The service department is a hard working department and the employee should be acknowledged. To keep good employee! Owners should allow them to be tip if offered God bless Brookie

On a scale of 1 to 10: Size: 4 Selection/variety of items: 4 Cleanliness: 6 Tidiness: 5 Selection: 4 Bakery items: 6 Food court: 3 (only 1 cashier; LONG wait; out of items) (No gas station) Overall: This is a relatively small Sam's Club without a gas station, with very limited number/types of merchandise. The store isn't particularly clean or tidy, the customer service is just so-so, and is generally underwhelming.
