“If you're looking for an enchanted garden venue, look no further than The Secret House of Ivy in Downey, Ca. You can drive by this place over and over and you'd never know what a beautiful place lies just behind the doors. Pictures absolutely do not do this place justice. The moment we walked in we fell in love. It's gorgeous. The twinkling lights and the Ivy covered walls transports you out of Downey into a little wonderland. We are beyond excited to host our daughter's quinceañera here and my husband and I definitely hope to have a vow renewal there in the future too. Karina, Luisa and Lily have been so helpful every step of the way in helping get all the ducks in a row to give our teen the perfect enchanted garden quince. I'm so glad we found this venue.”

“A hidden gem!! The drive to the location was pretty colorful to say the least, but once inside you will be pleased! There is a very open and spacious outside courtyard, and also on-site parking. The inside was also spacious and contained a very large open event space and a stage, with an elevated loft that looks out over the space. This is a great space!!”

“I gave it a 4 star because of the greeter Kevin, he didn’t welcome us or say hello. When completing the waiver I had a question and he just waived his hand. He was just rude, not even a smile. This was our 1st time here and he made me feel like I was a bother.”

“Apex Studios was very welcoming and efficient to work with. The rooftop allowed for amazing images in our publication (V Magazine), and their studio manager and team was very easy to work with. We always look forward to returning to this studio when we have projects happening in Los Angeles. Within the past year, we shot one of our cover shoots here, as well as another editorial. Both the crews and celebrity talent enjoyed using this space.”

“Wowwww my first ever VR experience and it was toooo good. I chose amber sky and believe me it was such a wonderful experience of height motion distance actual but virtual reality and the happiness of fighting the aliens ..yess you can use a super special gun too. For a fun family experience or cool times with your friends, go for it..thank you to the wonderful friendly staff for being helpful. “A round of applause to Martha and the entire Fiesta Mexica Banquet Hall team! We hosted a Quinceanera and the experience was amazing!

Not only was Martha extremely helpful in guiding us through the venue process, she also has a list of vendors that work with the Hall, everything from Make-up to photography.

The day of the event, the Banquet Manager, was extremely friendly and helpful. He (I forget his name) made sure the food was on time, the toast came out on time, and helped the photographer with the video display. Additionally, if you do not have a DJ, or you are in between your personal DJ or the Hall DJ, go with the Hall DJ (Victor).

Victor the DJ read the room and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. He was also extremely helpful with presenting the court and playing the correct music, at the correct time during the waltz and surprise dance, LOL. IYKYK!

“As a Los Angeles wedding photographer, I recently had the pleasure of photographing a ceremony at this incredible church — and it was such a memorable experience. The space is LGBTQ+ friendly, warm, and welcoming to all couples, which makes it even more special.

The church itself is stunning, with beautiful gothic architecture, tall arches, and elegant details that give every photo a timeless look. The light inside is soft and atmospheric, creating a perfect mood for wedding ceremonies. For professional photographers, I’d recommend bringing some additional external lighting, especially near the front section of the church, where natural light can be limited.

Couples should keep in mind that the time allowed for photography inside is limited, since the venue charges per hour spent there. In my case, we didn’t have much extra time for portraits inside, but we still captured some incredible moments before heading outdoors.

Overall, I truly enjoyed shooting here — it’s a one-of-a-kind location that blends classic architecture with inclusivity and heart. Highly recommend it for couples looking for a Los Angeles church wedding venue that’s both elegant and welcoming.

“THESE CLUB OWNERS ARE NOT RACIST!! I have had my show here for the last 4 years. John and Scarlett have never ever displayed any type of racism towards me as a black man. In fact, it's been completely opposite. They have embraced me as family. So I read a review of someone saying they were racist and honestly it affected me personally. It bothers me when someone gives a label on racism when it does not apply here. I've seen racism, I know what racist people do and How they Act And John and Scarlett The owners of the The StandUp Comedy Club DO NOT fit that description. Again, I have been here four years And I haven't seen nothing close to racism.. I've seen ignorant people trying to get free stuff and run out on their bill without paying, And when it doesn't go their way People are quick to pull The Race card. So Again, I am a black man who has been working at the stand-up comedy club for the past 4 years and John and Scarlett The owners has shown me nothing but love. “We had the great pleasure of having our wedding at The Revery, and it was beyond perfect. The warehouse vibe and mix of large indoor and outdoor spaces allowed us to get really creative with our plans. The way the sun hits is truly magnificent and makes for amazing photos, but is even better in person. Also, working with Monica was a joy. She’s extremely helpful and responsive, and was keen on helping in all the specifics of our wedding. “Late Review, but worth it! I hosted a party at The Loft on 12/13/2025, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. I began searching for venues around October and came across The Loft online. From the very first tour, I was genuinely impressed. The space is beautiful inside and, most importantly to me, extremely clean. You can tell right away that they take pride in maintaining their venue, even during showings, which I personally think says a lot. The event itself was so much fun, and the entire planning process felt smooth because I had incredible support from Charlotte and Dominique every step of the way. They were communicative, helpful, and always willing to provide guidance when needed. I also really appreciated that The Loft allows outside vendors, which made it easy to fully customize my event and bring my vision to life. Whenever I needed recommendations Charlotte and Dominique were happy to connect me with vetted, reliable vendors, which was a huge plus and made planning even easier. Overall, my experience was fantastic. The space is spacious, CLEAN, and well-maintained, but what truly sets The Loft apart is the level of care, communication, and support from the owners. That's incredibly important to me when booking a venue, and they absolutely delivered. I can definitely see myself booking with The Loft again in the future. “This venue is very easy to walk in and out of. Getting in was a breeze. Finding our seats was also easy. Parking was easy because we purchased parking ahead of time. Getting to this area is the challenge. Wherever you are coming from in Southern California, leave EARLY! We came from the I.E. Waze told us that we would arrive in 1.5 hours. Not true. Since you get into the Los Angeles area there is traffic. LOTS OF TRAFFIC! Getting off the freeway took a long time. Once the event was over getting out of the parking structure took well over an hour.”

“The first time I went to see the little mermaid last year. I kept the beautiful bucket of which I put popcorn in. I love the movie as much as I love the detail of the theater in the more time it has gone to becoming the respectable long lasting memeoris that havent be able to share their story. The staff that was there was always helpful and very professional with how they address the guest and the instructions on the tickets was instructed to follow as directed of to be escorted from the building. With all the carful time it took to prepare every single day. I would be happy to have be aprt of this city as much as I would take the time to work for every single job career volunteering and participating in every event just to be able to have had the traditional value that is being the greatest city in the country to the rest of the world. “We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the East Angel on October 5, 2024. I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, it was the BEST venue for the type of wedding we wanted. The space needed to be cute on its own but also have a totally customizable feel - and the East Angel was just that! Our handmade colorful decor mixed so well with the furnishings/details already at the venue. We also knew we wanted a space where guests couldn’t splinter off into different rooms (like a hotel). The goal was to keep everyone together in a space that felt intimate - but was actually very spacious! We had around 205 seated guests and brought in a good-sized dance floor and it didn’t feel crowded or cramped at all!
Working with Kirsty was so much fun - she was very open to our ideas and excited to help us see them out. She also had fantastic vendor suggestions and guided us to a brilliant wedding coordinator. Between Kirsty and our coordinator, we felt SO taken care of and were able to let loose and have a total blast on our wedding day!! I’m a fairly cynical person but it honestly was one of the best days of our lives. The energy and vibes were immaculate and the warm, welcoming space at the East Angel is largely responsible for that! Cannot recommend them enough!!”

“I never expected to find such a cool historic site in Compton. The adobe building dates back to the 1800s and gives a glimpse into early California ranch life. The docents were knowledgeable and really brought the history to life. It’s small but charming, with beautiful old furniture and grounds. A real hidden gem for history buffs”

“First time visit during 2024 Kwanzaa celebration. WOW! Who knew Long Beach had such an engaging dynamic art scene of Black artists! Painters, crafters, all had their works on display. Given the diversity of Long Beach there may also be displays of art from other Melanated people, and others, too. That night I was focused on the Black artists. Still, the variety of artists and art mediums was impressive. Once again, a treasure. A rare gem in Long Beach. It reminds me of the William Grant Still Arts Center in LA. Worth the 30 minutes drive from LA. When you go, buy something. Enhance your home with original art. Support local artists!”

“We toured The Mayne Events Center in June 2024 and were immediately sold. My daughter had her 1st birthday at The Centre in Lakewood, so we already knew that the food by TGIS Catering was top-tier. While we were close to booking at The Centre again, once my daughter saw The Mayne, it was a done deal!
Working with Monica was such a breeze, she was kind, patient, super knowledgeable, and shared so many great ideas. She even provided a vendor contact list that helped us find some of the amazing people we ended up using. The food was outstanding; we served the plated duet steak and chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. They also handled Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, and Kosher meals perfectly. Every single person felt like a guest and was well taken care of.
The bartending was great, the service was top-notch, the bathrooms were clean, and the AC was perfect. The space accommodated all our extras perfectly including a candy cart, mini pancakes, a Maruchan station, a magazine photo booth, a cartoonist, a DJ, and a band. Our guests haven't stopped raving about how beautiful the event was. Thank you, Monica, and the entire TGIS staff for making this amazing!”

However, the time I entered in, the fountain in the center of all greenery just hit my heart. All the ethereal feeling could easily catches my soul. I had a peaceful time with nature mom again even though it was just a short-time touch. Nature mom, Only in your arms I feel such ecstasy.”

“I went to the Wisdome LA Art Gallery and had a great time exploring the different exhibits. The gallery is truly an immersive and one-of-a-kind experience that engages all of your senses. The art installations were visually stunning and thought-provoking, displaying a diverse range of styles and mediums. The light and sound shows were especially impressive, adding a dynamic and interactive element to the exhibits. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with interesting information about the art and answering any questions we had. The gallery is also ideally positioned with abundant parking, making it easily accessible. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that some of the exhibits felt a bit repetitive after a while. Still, I definitely recommend”
