3 star at most. Rooms are comparable to a 3 star hotel that is up kept nicely. Service is limited- no help with bags no room service. Location is great- plenty of restaurants and shops.

Located in the heart of Lake Tahoe, this hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants and is a short walk to Lakeside Beach. I stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite that included a full kitchen with a dining table, plus a separate living area and bedroom, which made for a comfortable stay. The resort itself is quite large, so be ready for a bit of a walk to your room unless you’re near the elevators. Note that valet parking is available at $35 per day. Overall, a convenient and comfortable choice for a Lake Tahoe.
Rooms: We had a spacious one bedroom

Lot's of nice shops and many deals on clothing. In between seasons so the shops weren't as busy. We didn't stay in the rooms but the shops were fun.

They require use of the valet service, despite the fact that the garage is directly across from the hotel’s entrance. There’s no self-park option. Since there’s nowhere else to park in the area, and Tahoe is only accessible by car, I question why the valet service isn’t just included in the nightly rate.

Everything was great except the fact that $35 valet parking is mandatory and you're are not informed about this fact until after you reserve.

This time share property did not treat me with the typical service other Marriott properties do. This a time share property and as such, they do not abide by the typical upgrading, late check out processes one would expect. Additionally the staff (valet, front desk) was cold and curt. The ONE bright spot was environmental and housekeeping who were engaging, friendly and happy. In short, if you are a Bonvoy member expecting the typical Bonvoy perks - think twice about coming here. The only thing you’ll get is credit for a night’s yeah this is it. Just wanna ask him what their rules stay.

Very comfortable and central hotel, you can walk to all the little shops in South Lake Tahoe City, very safe and you have a delicious night's sleep, I highly recommend the restaurant that is attached to the hotel, the breakfasts are exquisite ???
Rooms: The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable

Stayed here a few times. Nice, well-kept property right next to the gondolas in the middle of the Hevenly Village Center. Rooms are clean and the beds are VERY comfortable, Most have full kitchens. BBQ's available in the pool area. Valet Parking at $35/night only. No-cost, shared laundry rooms on every floor.
The location of the Marriott Grand Residence is both a blessing and a curse. It is central and convenient to 'the action' in South Lake City/Stateline, but that 'convivence' comes at a cost... Crowds and noise. There are outdoor bands playing every afternoon throughout the evening and into the night. During 'season' Heavenly Village is packed with people and noise well into the night, which makes casual enjoyment very difficult, as is sleep, if you enjoy leaving the window open a bit to catch some of that cook mountain air. Their afternoon cookies are great.

Our recent stay at the Grand Residence from August 11-14 was enjoyable, but there were some issues. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. We appreciated the spa resort amenities such as the large heated swimming pool and two outdoor jacuzzis. Additionally, the dry sauna and steam room were utilized in the evenings for relaxation. The valet parking service was a convenient option. However, there was a significant issue with static electricity in the hotel which made it uncomfortable for us as we were constantly getting shocked while walking around the hallways and the lobby. It was unnerving knowing that while moving in the hotel we were expecting to get shocked at any moment. This issue prevented us from giving the hotel a 5-star rating.

My friend and I stayed for a weekend during the summer. Hotel and rooms are well appointed and staff is friendly. Location is unbeatable, located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, right next to the ski gondolas to Heavenly and walking distance for the casinos. Only negative is there’s minimal staffing. Noticed there was one waitress covering the pool area, managing drink orders. A lot of empty plates and cups were left on the side table unattended for a long time, attracting flies. Parking is valet only, $35 per night. Our room came with complimentary valet parking tho not all do.
