We were at emerald bay. Gor in line at 940a, they opened at 10a, we got on the water at 1050a. We were 8-10 in line. Super slow process. We asked why we couldn’t fill our waivers in line and they said they tried that but the waivers ended up in the lake. Attaching them to clipboards would solve the . Could also do the 10+ min safety briefing while people are in line. Emerald bay was beautiful of course but the process to get a kayak was insane.

SUPed Lake Tahoe from Kayak Tahoe from Emerald Bay. Get there really early for parking. Staff was great!! Owners were amazing as we left our credit card and instead of fighting traffic, parking, and a 40 minute walk down and up steep hill, the owners had us pick up the card at their main office the following morning saving us hours of time on our vacation!!! Highly recommend this place!!!❤️

Great views and pretty smooth process. Keep some extra time if you are a big group as they may not have so many kayaks at the same time

Came early with my fiancé and two friends. Very informative staff that was friendly. The hike up and down wasn't as bad either.

We arrived early, so we were able to get a kayak. I would suggest, as I am sure many other reviews have stated. We booked it for two hours and had an awesome time. If you haven't been kayaking in awhile, or it's your first time, they were awesome at a quick instruction/refresher. The water was pretty calm and the scenery was beautiful. I'm glad we kayaked at this location. The hike back up the the car was a bit tiring, and would be challenging for those who aren't in shape or have health issues. It would be nice if they offered a shuttle, but I still recommend it if you're able.

Hire people who don’t want to deal with people. Wouldn’t ever go here again. What a disappointment.

Used their kayak's over in Emerald Bay location. Workers were very chill and friendly and showed all the things you needed to know. Would 100% use again and recommend.

Kayaking in Emerald Bay was gorgeous! We arrived at 930 and parking was pretty full in the lot and on the road. Cost was 10 for the day. It was a beautiful shaded 1 mile walk down, however it was a long, strenuous, hot unshaded walk up hill in the afternoon. I was exhausted and not feeling well after. So be prepared. Bring lots of water.. we found out after kayaking there was a water fountain near the castle. There are also restrooms there. There was a good line when we arrived for kayaks. We were a little nervouse we wouldn't get a double but they have many more then single kayaks. They also rent paddle boards. Which is great, since my gf promised to do all the paddling!! They were the cheapest we found at $65 2 hrs, which was plenty for us. We returned ours early. They even rounded our time and gave us an extra 20 min for lunch. Too bad we didn't bring any. They do have dry bags for rent for $3/5 lg. We enjoyed resting on the beach and cooling off in the water. You can go on the island but it's pretty steep, we did not. It does get busy with boats at times in the bay. You are not allowed to go much past the island with the kayaks. The staff was pleasant and very helpful getting you in and out of the water. It was a good experience but not sure I could do the hike in the heat again.
