Traveling from out of town and unexpectedly had our check engine light come on. Called around to a couple repair shops in the area, and Norm's was so friendly and helpful. They took a look at our car, diagnosed the error code, and didn't charge us anything. They were so kind and warm which goes along when having car troubles. Thanks for your help!

I was quoted a huge amount at the dealership. They said I needed a power steering pump (and more). I went to Norm's and they told me it was only a seal/gasket! It is so nice to have a place in town who is both competent and honest!!

Brought car in for diagnostic. No call or feedback for 2.5 days. Picked car up and it died within 10 minutes. Not sure what they did - but car hasn't died driving ever.

Dropped car off for diagnostic. Car was there for 2.5 days with no communication. Picked up car and it died 2xs within 10 min. Oil stuck and well were completely dry.

Just moved to Tahoe. Bought a two year old Subaru w/6700 miles on it. Like barely driven and smelled brand new still. But some of the electrical wasn't working. I was worried rodents ate the wiring and I would need a $3000 harness. I took it to one shop that quoted me $4500 for new wiring. I left and went to norms and he pulled it in his bay while I waited for 5 minutes. He came back and asked me exactly what components weren't working as far as the electrical system. I rattled off several things and he asked me to see if they were now working. I got into my car and started it and everything the power windows seats, sunroof, and a few other things all of a sudden worked. I was amazed. I asked how much do I owe you(thinking hundreds of dollars) he said "you don't owe me anything. There were a few fuses not pressed in all the way. I just pushed them in that's all I thank he 1000 times. Unreal. He could have lied to me sent me off kept my car overnight and charged me a ton. But he didn't. The other shop I will be sure to let people know not to go to them.

We are two older ladies from So. Oregon and Mt. Shasta on vacation when suddenly our car got problems and surely wasn’t going to make the trip back home. We couldn’t get in anywhere in the whole area to have our car looked at or worked on until the following week. Josh not only did diagnostics but thankfully squeezed us in and and resolved the situation quickly and sufficiently to get us safely back home. So I took my friend to Norm's so she could pick up her car After we dropped it off earlier that day. When arriving we met Cindy, Who was very friendly. Josh, the owner came in to speak to my friend about what he had repaired on the car and he explained in detail. My friend was very happy with the outcome including the price which was much, much cheaper than going over the hill to the Subaru dealership. While they were wrapping up I told Josh I was experiencing issues with the automobile auxiliary power outlet in my brand new Subaru Crosstrek I purchased in December 2021. I had used a 12 V vacuum once to vacuum the car so I assume that it was probably a blown fuse. Josh said let's go outside and take a look and proceeded to put in a new fuse without charge. It might sound like a minor thing to some people but to me it's excellent customer service and I will be returning to Norm's for all non-warranty issues on my new Subaru. 1. Cindy and Josh were very friendly 2. They completed the work on my friends car on time 3. Great service and much cheaper than other estimates my friend was given. 4. Took the time to put a fuse in my new Subaru without charge. 4/4 Who could ask for more!!

Honest, reliable, reasonable, knowledgeable. Just plain "Able". I've gone here for years on and off. The only reason I have gone else where in the past is because I broke down in Bay Area and was forced to use someone else or Norms couldn't get me in as fast as I needed. Other than that they're my go to shop here in Tahoe.

Josh and his team are truly an amazing group of mechanics who have worked on my Subaru Crosstrek. Josh is friendly, honest and will always be upfront about his work. I had to get my major 60,000 mile service on my car and instead of me taking it a Subaru dealership where I would have had to pay an arm and a leg, he charged me significantly less to get my service done. I recently had my mud guard come off my car and Josh got me in for an appointment within a couple days. He truly puts his work and customers first. I cannot thank him enough for his amazing service. As long as I am in Tahoe, I will continue to bring my car to him for all my service and maintenance needs. Josh and his team are always ready to serve the Tahoe community and I recommend anyone who needs a repair on their car to come here.

Just got my 2015 STI and am having issue with the Clutch , so i talk to Josh and he explain it to me what is happening. he didn't ripped me off like " your clutch is bad let's replace it. will cost you$1800 '" like other will do to make money.What am saying is they are honest, and professional, I got my car back and runs better, they adjust the clutch base on subaru's model and specification.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Josh and his men are the best mechanics that I have ever known. He is honest and efficient. I trust my Subaru with Josh. I had my car there for them to fix many times and he was great with it every time. Norm's is the best place to bring your car because they will be very honest with you.

Called to get my radiator fixed, there was a small consistent leak. They were able to get me in the next day, replaced everything, flushed and refilled my whole cooling system. They were amazing and stayed under the specific budget I mentioned. Great customer service. A week later, I drove 2,400 miles in a 5 day period & had no issues at all!!
