Pros: Great location - very walkable. Clean rooms, clean pools. If you like doughnuts, you'll enjoy the breakfast. Nice staff - cute dog in the lobby.
Cons: LOUD. Housekeeping starts working at 7AM, slamming doors, pushing carts, talking loudly, playing music, and they do not stop until nearly midnight. It sucks to be woken up every morning at 7AM while on vacation and kept up because of housekeeping.
Other than the noise issue, we had a good stay. If we stay here again, it will only be if we are guaranteed a room on the opposite side of the building away from housekeeping headquarters.

Don’t let the retro look deter you from this amazing place to stay in Tahoe! It’s been one of our family’s favorite stays with lots of memories made! It’s a great central location near all the shops and Heavenly gondola and has all the amenities one would look for and want! My kids had their fair share of popcorn and hot chocolate! The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, air conditioned, nice shower, and great service from all staff we interacted with! I would absolutely come back and highly recommend a stay!

Slip back into the nostalgia of this completely renovated 1960's hotel complete with daily activities, beautiful heated pool, jacuzzi, a large pavilion with covered canopy, barbecue large upper deck patio, friendly service and amazing hospitality. Oh, and flowers flowers flowers everywhere!
And did I mention being right in the middle of ALL the action? Close to the casinos, stores, restaurants, gondola, trails and down the street from the beach!
The people who work there are so kind and hospitable. You will not find a more friendly place. Cannot wait to return to Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Stardust Lodge!

Maybe it would be better in the winter, but there was only a floor fan and ceiling fans in the room so you had to sleep with your windows open. No air conditioning. So much noise from the very busy street outside. Also tried to charge us for 2 nights instead of one night and at the wrong nightly rate I had in my confirmation email. The location is fabulous and you can walk to everything. Rooms are completely outdated.

Overall a great stay. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of everything. We walked to almost everything including hiking trails. If there was a downside it was the heat wouldn't turn off in our room but we managed. Also, the bedroom had AC which we didn't expect. This is a great place for 2 people, we had 4 which was a little crowded but still doable. Great place!

Stardust Lodge is an awesome place with super employees and great management. It is truly a jewel in the Sierra. It is as nice a place as one will find in Tahoe and you will be treated very well.

I absolutely loved my stay here, the staff was very friendly and I loved the charming details of the hotel. My bed was comfy, the 2 person shower was awesome, and there was plenty of space to park.

Walking distance to Casinos. Rooms and grounds are very clean…The friendly staff always goes out of their way to make your stay fantastic!!!!We have been going back to Stardust for over 20 yrs… A Great place to stay in S Lake Tahoe with Great rates!❤️

The room had some things that were a little ruined (in the photos) but it was nice. we couldn’t figure out the bed so we went to the front desk to ask for help and people came immediately, which was nice. the location is great! all the shops are right outside at a walking distance. If you stay here, you should checkout fire + ice (a restaurant) it’s super good!

Love the Stardust! Walk to everything, inexpensive and nice. Rooms with Murphy beds are a little weird but we loved the place! The staff are super nice and the breakfast was great. Can’t wait to return :)

Stayed for a skiing trip, and it's location is great! Right across from the Heavenly Gondola! Rooms are very nice as well, with good beds. Even the pullouts are nice, compared to other locations.

Great hotel for a low cost, breakfast was excellent and the proximity to the main strip is great. Free bikes to rent too!
