Pros: Place is nice and cozy. Shower has good hot water, kitchenette is nice for longer term stays. Wood stove keeps it very warm. Owner / manager is not onsite but is very responsive via phone / text.
Cons: Needs to be cleaned better. When I checked in there was trash in the garbage, hair around the bathroom sink, mold in the coffee filter, and junk in the nightstand. Not alot of space to unpack you bags.

Honestly, this place sucks. Maybe in the wintertime it’s cozy, but in the summer it’s horrible. The rooms have zero airflow and get incredibly hot, we turned the fan on and opened the window - nada. When told about the health problem that poses and that we’d like to refund (not even having been there for an hour), the owner refused and said to open a window citing that it’s only 66*F (it was 83 out and almost 100 inside). Brilliant idea dude, your solution won’t even help the flat match your room temperature IQ. Walls and doors are also super thin, you’re going to hear ~everything~. Overall, avoid this slum during the summertime; I’ve seen motels in Oakland that aren’t this ghetto.
Edit: Added owner’s response to this review. Cheers mate, class act.

Perfect, newly renovated rooms with enough space for two. We stayed here during the winter season on a budget snowboard trip, so the full kitchenette was key. Keep in mind it’s less than $100 a night to stay, so yes it could have been cleaned better between guests but it’s definitely not dirty or dingy. No issues and easy check

Please book your stay at Tahoe Mtn Inn!!! I know it will be better than what happened to me and my family. *** I urge the public to NOT book your stay at the 3 PEAKS HOTEL. They abused me and husband neglected our needs I asked and waited for Hot water in room. They didn’t care. The 3 Peaks is unprofessional and negligent and cruel. The female manager is vile and would not move us into a new room. She had no answers or solutions to problems that weren’t ours or our responsibility!!! It’s a roach motel 3 Peaks has cockroaches and bed bugs as well. STEER CLEAR of 3 Peaks Hotel!

The room was small yet nice and cozy. Be prepared to strategically arrange your personal items due to the room's size. The chimney-like gas heater added to the cozy ambiance. The room doesn't have AC, which isn't an issue in winter. The kitchenette was very nice, although it lacked a kettle. There's a hot tub, which we didn't use, but it was hot and ready as promised. There were adequate parking spaces, though more could be available with better snow clearance. Thoughtfully, earplugs and a white noise machine were provided beside the bed, although I had brought my own. The location is nice, close to the freeway, and is pet-friendly.Regarding the downsides, the bed was quite uncomfortable for my taste. It was soft and squeaky with a somewhat flimsy frame, yet it allows for storage of several large bags underneath. The bathroom had a bit of an odor. The soundproofing isn't great, but fortunately, we had quiet neighbors. No safe or lockbox. Additionally, the motion-activated light switch in the bathroom can be startling, as it turns on blindingly bright lights at night. I covered it with a small towel, which solved the problem.Overall, the accommodation offers good value for the price.UPD: turned out that the bed was BROKEN

Terrible. The first warning sign should have been the ear plugs the owner places on every bedside table. The property is very close to the main drag and the sound of passing cars is LOUD and unrelenting. There's a lovely adult sex toy store right across the street, but the area is really run down. There are numerous shuttered businesses nearby. The units have recently been repainted and fixed up a little. The fixtures are very poor quality and the rooms have very shoddy work done in them. The rooms are tiny, no AC and have a small gas stove for heat. They are impossible to relax in because of all the street noise. We had to pack up and leave for another hotel. The owner refused any sort of compensation or refund. We were sent an email asking us to tidy up the room and take out any garbage to their dumpster. Nice try. For the money, there are other half way decent properties in the area where you can actually get some sleep. I don't mind a cheap hotel to crash in every now and then, but the noise level on this one makes it u bearable. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

Very small rooms with NO A/C. It was 75° outside, and 120° inside! Also be aware you are RIGHT ON Hwy 50, and it is loud!! 24 hours a day! Semi trucks. Bikers. 4x4’s. All echoing into your room…all night long. The room WAS clean, and I liked checking in without the front desk assistance. The price was exceptional, and I didn’t feel cheated. I just felt hot!!!

Location was good, the room... not very clean. Light bulbs were burnt out, 1 over kitchenette and 1 in ceiling fan. Couldn't use ceiling fan with lights off because of a short and lights kept flickering on thru the night. There was 2 of with only 1 wash cloth for 2 days. For the price I paid would have been better to stay at motel 6 for less money and cleaner room. Emailed them issues with no return email.Sorry we won't stay here again!Rooms: Dirty, lights not working. Not enough towels wash clothsSafety: Electrical issue with ceiling fan/lights

Ehh, I would say it's a get what you pay for kinda place but unfortunately it was a lil on the pricey side for what it is. I definitely think this place has potential though! The bed was comfy, TV and wifi are great. I think if they did a lil sprucing up to the parking area so it didn't look sketchy, added cooling units to the rooms, a waste basket in the bathroom, and an updated shower curtain it could really pull the place together nicely and I think there would be alot less bad remarks about this place. It looks great online until you show up.

Don’t stay here! Muddy floors, sticky surfaces and hot and muggy. The room is tiny, very loud due to the Highway right outside. It’s even louder because the windows must be left open since it is 100 degrees F inside the room. Fan isn’t working and there is no AC. There is also a bug in the bathroom. There’s no front desk and the management office is completely not willing to help.

The best thing about this place was the yellow door. It seemed really cute at first but the floor would crack when you walked on it. Things connected to the wall were dangling.. The shower was hot for about 3 minutes and then went ice cold. Super for when it's snowing outside. The walls were so thin we could hear every part of the phone call from the next room, where some guy was so jazzed about how he and his friends were going to go gambling and the little girl crying about her Ipad time in the other room. The pros- Cool location, hot tub somewhere, microwave and kitchenette stocked with real coffee/coffee maker and popcorn. Cute place. Could use some better quality furnishings.Might give it another shot... it was very cute.. But not for light sleepers.

We stayed here last minute. The price was great! The room was very cute and clean. This is a great little place to stay. Would recommend and would stay here again. The only downside we could find was that there was no hot water when we woke up. I think all of the other rooms had used up the hot water. The walls are a little thin so we could hear people on either side. Otherwise it was fantastic.

The rooms look great in the photos. In reality the room was not clean and the finish poor. The previous occupants hair was all over the floor and in the shower drain, along with their toothpaste stains left on shelving. The flooring was broken with laminate boards out of place and the transition strips between the tiles and the laminate causing a trip hazard. Surfaces were dusty and the bed linen comprised of individual sheets and an uncovered duvet - the whole room didn't feel particularly hygienic. The walls are also paper thin - you can literally hear EVERYTHING your neighbours are doing/saying.The worst thing of all was when I contacted Tahoe Mountain Inn about these issues I had no answer on the phone number provided, no response to the emails sent and no response to the Instagram DM. But they were very keen for me to leave my review on check out; so here we are.Would not recommend.

I never write reviews honestly. But if you like waking up in the middle of the night sweating, then this place is for you. There's no air that circulates in the unit. Perhaps in the winter it's probably more enjoyable. The aesthetic is cute. But I'd rather be comfortable. I support boutique and smaller hotels and in this case for paying $800, I should've stayed at a hotel. As well as there check out being 10? Like c'mon.
