I've had the privilege of working with Tina Ruiz and John Vandercook at "ReImagine Your Home" throughout the past six years. Whether it be window treatments (12 windows), floor coverings, or simply a bit of design advice, Tina and John have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to make certain that I was happy. I have been especially appreciative of their patience and sound advice when I wasn't certain what to select or how something would work. The quality of their products and the skill of their installers are exceptional as well. This is a first-rate business and, I haven't (nor will I) go anywhere else for my design needs!

So happy I ordered curtains from Re-Imagine your home. Tina worked with me and I got the curtains I needed to make my rooms pop. Very happy with my purchases and David the installer was awesome.

OUTSTANDING TRUST WORTHY ADVISORS!! I have know John Vandercook and Tina Ruiz for many years. John and Tina go out of their way to help their clients and have certainly given me great advice when it comes to flooring, window coverings or even suggested maintenance safe items to keep my floors and carpet looking great! Through out the local community John and Tina have always stepped up to serve many local organizations and people for over 30 years. I know and have run into many interior designers that highly recommend John and Tina and visit them regularly because of their KNOWLEDGE, TRUST, AND EXPERTISE. When something isn't right with a product or service John and Tina take care of their customers by making it right. I wouldn't hesitate referring them to others and will continue using them! I noticed a helpful video that they have now posted about their store Keep up the great service! GP

Thanks to John at Reimagine I now have a fabulous new bathroom floor!! He was soooo helpful at the front end in picking the right flooring material. Everything was efficient and professional. The installers were friendly, helpful, fast and installed the floor perfectly. I highly recommend Reimagine. Thank you!! Jennifer in Glendale.

We had our upstairs bedrooms re-carpeted several years ago and recently decided to do the downstairs bedrooms in the same carpet. John remembered what we had put in the upstairs bedrooms and was able to obtain the same for the downstairs bedrooms. John was professional and pleasant when he came to measure and his installers were also. I would use them again but I don't have anything to carpet now!

I can't say enough about the service provided by John at Reimagine Your Home! I needed to refinish wood floors, replace vinyl flooring and carpeting at my parents' home, in preparation for its sale. John showed me affordable, attractive options, and the pricing was excellent. The crew that refinished the wood floors were true professionals; their dustless equipment was the best I've seen (I've had floors refinished in 2 other homes) and they did a great job staining the floors. The carpeting and vinyl installers were of equal quality--professional, and did a very neat job. We are using John and Reimagine your Home to refinish our Brazilian cherry flooring and install additional flooring to match in our living room. Like Jonathan D., I can't imagine why there were any negative reviews. What I most appreciated was John's level of service. He called to keep me up-to-date with the progress of the job, checked back with me to make certain I was satisfied, and knew that for this particular project, I wanted to install vinyl and carpeting that would show well for perspective buyers. He showed me good quality materials in my price range and his suggestions were excellent. P.S. The house showed so well, we sold it within 5 days, with multiple offers. The flooring wowed everyone who saw the house!

Ordered window coverings for our home on the Central Coast from Tina based on a referral from a friend. On a visit to South Pasadena, we sat down with her and went over our needs and her recommendations. Once we decided on the styles, Tina was kind enough to let us borrow her Hunter Douglas samples and color charts to try in our house. We ordered the shades and coverings and she took the time to research and advise us of the best installer in the area. She kept us informed on the progress of the order and called when she knew it would be delivered. Along with the follow through and good customer service, we received a very competitive price. What more can you ask. Thank you Reimagine Your Home.

I am very saddened that Dustin added those comments to my review... nobody ever mentioned "cellular shades" to me when he was measuring -- maybe he was talking to one of my staff? -- nor was that ever an option for this install as dust mitigation was a primary factor in replacing the existing blinds. Considering that TINA is the design consultant, not him, and he wasn't in ANY of the meetings when I explicitly told her what type of shades were to be installed and what the light and privacy blocking requirements were, I have no idea why he would think it appropriate to comment. Dustin is a subcontracted installer, not an employee. He is obviously just trying to discredit me in support of this sad operation. It's a shame, because I had recommended his installation services to others and would have used him again. No more. Another thing to add... the shades are already falling apart and need to be replaced, light gaps notwithstanding. The fabric has come out of the bottom channel completely on more than half of the fixtures... and these shades have been raised and lowered a total of TWO times since they were installed for the windows behind to be cleaned, and are rarely -- if ever -- touched. Just to be clear, they were installed in March of this year. Total garbage. Looking at them closer, the shades are not even Hunter Douglas, they're "Lafayette" brand, which I've never even heard of and are not what I thought I was buying. Avoid these jokers.

I'm also surprised by the negative feedback, this is a quality operation with great customer service.

I'm so surprised by the other reviews listed. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Reimagine Your Home. We recently moved into a new home and was looking to buy two different but complementary rugs for our living and dinning room spaces. We have never tried to tie two rooms together like this so we were really looking for help and expertise. We not only had a great customer service experience but we decided to utilize them to explore recarpeting our upstairs. We haven't been able to afford this project yet but we have all the selections made and measurements done so we can start as soon as possible.

We needed to replace carpets in our three story commercial building. John helped us to source the original carpet brand and style - and arranged the installation. Fair pricing and a personal approach that you won't find at big box retailers made the job a pleasant and efficient one.

We also were extremely disappointed with our experience with Reimagine Your Home. For the most part, we are happy with our results, but we were disappointed that they didn't really help us in choosing the blinds/shades that we wanted in terms of color selection or patterns. Tina just brought over the various brochures and we basically picked out our own colors/selections without much assistance or advice from her. Therefore, I wouldn't count on them to really help you as you might expect a design consultant to do. Also, when they installed the shades in one of our rooms, they installed two of the shades the wrong way. It wasn't until I noticed it and Tina and her installer came out to inspect it again that they finally (after much, much, much discussion) agreed that the shades were improperly installed. We had to point out the problem several times and several different ways. You would think that after so many installations and inspections, they would be able to look at the final product and let you know quickly whether it looked right or wrong, but it seemed like they didn't want to admit the wrongdoing. Because of this incident, it just seemed that every communciation with the company afterwards felt like she didn't want anything to do with us anymore. However, in fairness to the company, they did hire a good installer (except for the 2 windows that were installed the reverse way), and the installation of the other products we bought were professionally done and we are happy with the overall results. We would have just preferred that when the business makes a mistake, they own up to it, and apologize and not treat the customer like they don't want anything to do with them afterwards, especially if you're paying thousands of dollars for window shades....it left a real bad feeling with us afterwards....too bad for them though....we would have used the company again had they just apologized and treated us kindly afterwards for other shades/blinds that we want to install in our house....there are other companies to choose from that offer products from the same manufacturers, so in this economy, we choose not to go with Reimagine Your Home again. We can take our money elsewhere!
