Telephone auto attendant is terrible. New customers have to call and wait on hold for 15 minutes before they can leave a voicemail asking Apria to call back and start the intake process. There’s no email or online portal alternative (unless you’re ordering supplies at ApriaDirect). Once they had my insurance approval and I was in their system, they were helpful (but very understaffed/overworked) when I went to the office to pick up my equipment.

Terrible Customer Service. I was never able to get hold of someone immediately every time I called. One time, I was very surprised that someone finally answered my phone call after only 5 or 10 minutes of waiting. Pria has never returned my phone calls or messages

Use a different DME company.I am 36 weeks pregnant. My OBGYN sent an order through my insurance for a breast pump to Apria when I was 22 weeks pregnant. Apria continuously refused to supply the breast pump for multiple inconsistent reasons despite multiple tries between myself and my doctor, and after many hours on the phone and on hold, over the course of months. I would not have wasted this much time had they not shared such confusing and inconsistent information that ultimately turned out to be false. Apria representatives first said that I was not allowed to order the breast pump without my doctor sending more records. My doctor sent more records. They then refused again asking for even more records which my doctor again sent. My doctor even called them herself to try to resolve the issue. Apria again refused to send a breast pump because I was not expected to have a premature birth. I confirmed with my doctor, my insurance, and other moms that this is NOT a reason to refuse a breast pump. They then said that I needed to wait until I was within 30 days of my delivery date. I called at that point and they said that I needed to have tried and failed a manual breast pump. I pushed back saying that this did not make sense because I had not yet delivered and there was no way for me to try and fail a manual breast pump. They then said they would not send a breast pump until AFTER I deliver the baby. I have confirmed that no other DME company does this. It seems that Apria does everything in its power to tell inconsistent and nonsensical excuses to pregnant mothers so as to look after their own pocket books. Apria should NOT advertise itself as a company that supplies breast pumps to expecting mothers. Apria refuses to support expecting mothers, they refuse to tell consistent information to expecting mothers, they make it as difficult as possible for expecting mothers to get the supplies that they need, and ultimately, they refuse to supply breast pumps as they falsely advertise.

Prompt, professional, and diligent. I received a call regarding my supplies and within a few hours everything was delivered without a hitch!

Forgot to write down her name, but the customer representative was very friendly and helpful. She explained everything I needed to know and placed the order for me.

Apria Healthcare failed to seek an authorization from my health insurance company. Due to Apria's delay in providing me with the prescribed DME, I was forced to purchase the equipment myself.

We had our baby at Kaiser Redwood City. We were told our breast pump machine would be delivered at home 10/13/-10-15. Nothing was delivered. Kaiser called apria multiple times for updates. Apria said it would be delivered 10/15/23 by 5 PM. nothing arrived. Apria would give bad information on delivery Then it changed to be delivered 10/16/23 NOTHING. After I f called them and finally told them I would pick it up myself. At this point the delivery was promised multiple times. The person in the phone said they did curb side delivery, to help with my time away form home with my newborn. I arrived. No curb side delivery. I had to leave my wife and newborn at home to pick up this Brest pump my wife has now needed for the last 4 days. I had to wait another 20 min to get the pump. I don't know who runs this place but this is extreme bad customer service for items that people Need. It's crazy.

If you have an option other than Apria for CPAP supplies. TAKE IT! They are the absolute worst. They don't want to work through your insurance; they want to make you pay out of pocket. After several iterations of letters, doctor interventions and worthless phone calls, I'm still without supplies. They are the worst service oriented company I've ever dealt with.

Apria sent me an email on Labor Day promising a 20% discount (for a CPAP mask). But their online system could not complete the order, so I contacted their customer service. In fact, I had to contact several different customer service numbers, then tried the phone number they provided for automated ordering, then tried their customer service chat. All of these customer services failed to respond or help. I also sent them two messages via their messaging service. The next day, they didn't respond despite my many requests, so when I called late in the afternoon (when they still would be open for calls per their website), I was connected to a customer service representative who rudely refused to apply the discount, and terminated the call when I asked to talk to her supervisor. They clearly hold customers in contempt, and only want to maximize profits, while not providing any customer service. Totally pathetic. I'll be using their competitors for now on.

I ordered a cane and got the wrong one. I called and complained about it and they lied and said that it's what my doctor ordered. I called my doctor's office and they said no they did not order this came. I sent it back and my doctor's put in another order for the right cane and it has been a week and I have not received it yet.

Nobody answers the phone when I tried calling after the initial payment of the copay. The confirmation information would not go through because my info did not match theirs. I had to call my doctor in order for them to finalize the process. Apria has not followed up with how to use the machine. I do not know what I am doing, and so far the machine is not working well to the point I take off the nose attachment within 2 hours every night.

Still waiting for my machine nearly one month. Local depot has not even sent it out yet. Staff friendly when you call but I’ve been checking the mail every day for 3 weeks now only to find out they never even sent it yet and told me to go into the depot myself if I want it any time soon

Frustrating is an understatement. This company is a parasite that thrives on "customers" who have no choice due to their health insurance. Enjoy spending hours on hold with the most obnoxious promotional recordings on loop because they won't ship until you sign an agreement on their website which doesn't actually work. Weeks later, no shipment or even a tracking number.

Was extremely bad. 40 to 60 minute wait times any time I needed to. talk to them, and I had to talk to them a lot because they kept making mistakes and being confused what was needed to be done. They sent me some incorrect equipment and now I am dreading having to wait another hour to try and talk to them. Pretty bad. 2 stars instead of 1 because once I reached customer service reps they were personally very nice and apologetic about all of the chaos. I felt bad for them.
