This is NOT the Airport Avis location. The best part about this location is that the prices are way lower than the airport location, the service is quick and friendly. The cars are parked right in front of the location, so you can select whichever you want without having to walk through the parking lot

There is a mile charge if you return your rental car to a different location. I found this on my invoice when I was at the counter and the guy told me that no worries I can return to the same place and change the drop off location when I return the car so that I don’t have to pay for mile charge. However, he didn’t inform me that my drop off time is 2pm but their office close at noon. I ended up with still returning my car to a diff location and being charged $0.25 per mile I drived which is really ridiculous. I tried to call the office before 12pm and no one answered. This is very unprofessional.

Bobby was truly amazing! He was so helpful and willing to accommodate my party. I would truly recommend Avis! And Bobby needs a raise ?

Limited car selection at this avis site. Found out too late that on Saturdays I had to return car at 12 noon and yet had to pay for a full day for that Saturday. Had I not been out of town I would not have extended my rental.Staff service though at pick up and drop off was great.

I had a very bad experience at this AVIS outlet. The car they provided was completely filled dirty and stinking with smoke smell.They were not providing any replacement vehicle too.I had to clean the vehicle myself again.Also, there was just one person on staff, and was extremely overwhelmed with the demand there. We couldn't add any additional drivers at this location too as thier systems were slow and outdated.Also when we returned our car the following day, the guy behind the counter didn't log our return for an additional hour and we were charged an additional days rental charge.Overall it was a pathetic experience.I will HIGHLY recommend just visit the AVIS at the SFO Airport, the staff there is well trained and cars are very well maintained.

If your planning on renting a car from the Avis Airport location, I suggest you choose the South San Francisco location instead. Its cheaper than the airport because it's a smaller branch and doesn't charge all extra fees like the airport. Even though it's a small branch, their cars are new and lots of variety. Moss was my representative, provided a fast and friendly service. Only downside is they're not open on weekends, but you can drop off your vehicle to the security guy anytime you choose on reservation.

I have rented from them before with good experiences. This time the car shocks were horrible and the car smelled like old trash.
