I brought my car to this shop after an accident caused by someone else on December 10, 2024. It's now January 8, 2025, and my car is still in the shop with no clear indication of when it will be finished. Every update I’ve received has been disappointing, reflecting a lack of urgency and knowledge on their part. The latest update is that they need to order another part, even though my car has been in the shop for 3-4 weeks. They should have gathered all the necessary information and parts during the initial assessment.
Due to their failure to do a thorough check at the start, my car is now delayed again, and it may take another week—if I’m lucky. I’m trying to be understanding, but they have provided me with little to no useful information. Too add on to my frustration, getting answers and updates from the manager of this shop, Devaughn has also been a headache. He promises to reach back to you, but for every call so far, I had to contact him myself. He will ghost you unless you contact him yourself. I typically don’t write reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to share my thoughts. This entire month of dealing with them has been one of the most stressful, disappointing, and exhausting experiences I’ve had. Once I get my car back, I will never bring it back to this shop for as long as I live.

The worst business transaction ever.They kept my car from 6/7/2023 until 9/22/23 and then and only then did they declare it a total loss on the 22 nd. The last communication 9/7 said they were waiting on the last part. They are nice in the beginning then they go ghost.

? I was in on Thursday for an estimate on some body work. Was told I'd have my estimate by the end of the day. Called on Friday because I had not received my estimate. Was assured I'd have it by the end of the day(Friday). Still nothing. Just because it's covered by insurance, doesn't mean I'm automatically a customer. BTW I had scheduled my work for tomorrow (Monday). I guess I need to find someone else. ?

This body shop has two locations. One in Novato one in South San Francisco. We had some work done at the Novato shop. They did a great job but when we picked up the car, the AC did not seem to be working as well as it should. We live much closer to the location in south SF so when we contacted the body shop about our issue, they immediately set us up with an appointment in the South San Francisco location. When we arrived, they immediately did diagnostics on the car, topped off the freon and we were back on the road within an hour. These guys are honest, take responsibility, and get the job done. Highly recommended.

We went to them because they were linked with our insurance and were told that it would be faster. Once we got there it took them a month to even contact us for an estimate. They blamed the insurance company, but in fact, the insurance company was waiting for information that G&C had not provided. Their estimate came to over $9000 and included prior damage despite us working with them to mark pre-existing damage on day 1. We took it to another garage and got it repaired for 5,500 in under a month. 6 months later we are still struggling with the insurance company because G&C's estimate caused them to decide our perfectly functional car was totaled. They might be good at repairs, I never got a chance to find out, but their complete lack of professionalism will cause you infinitely more stress than it's worth.

Had an excellent experience with G&C. My husband's Mazda was hit in a parking lot. We took it to G&C for an insurance inspection and quote. We liked their professionalism and the recommendation from USAA so we went with them. Super smooth from dropping off the car to getting the rental - had daily updates and when the car was ready it was pristine. Excellent body work and the car itself was spotless. Owner was super friendly and personally guaranteed the work. Shout hour to Jose - another super helpful and friendly staff member and to Evan for daily updates. Overall we are happy and I highly recommend their services.

Very professional, excellent attention and fast work, they gave me a ride to my house because I did not use a rental car, and Jose was very kind all the time, I recommend them, I hope I never have any accidents again, but if an accident happens, I know where to take the car car, thank you very much

I had used G&C twice referred by my insurance. I don't usually comfortable with Insurance suggestions but once I got to meet the team for insurance estimates, I decided to have them fix my car. Evan is very professional and efficient! They updated me along the way all the progress and send me all the paperwork electronically. It's fantastic experience overall. Thanks G&C! Hopefully I don't have to see you guys anytime soon but when I do I will definitely go to you guys again.

I was looking for a good auto body shop when I came across G&C on yelp. I went in to get my aftermarket shark grill installed. Most body shops do not like working on aftermarket considering the products risk. However, Jorge did an amazing job with the installation! I am in love with my cars new look Thank you so much G&C will definitely be returning for a paint job!!

I went there to get a estimate all they did was take Pic. of the damage and my vin & mileage and told me to contact my insurance co. They never give me an estimate not sure if they even know how to.
