Walked in with bags full of clothing to donate at 6p only to be told they don't take donations past 2p. What difference does it make? Really lame.

Bait and switchI've gone to this location 3 times now, every time I bring an item to the register, they charge me a different price than the price tag ON THE ITEM!?! Much more. When I question it, I get all kinds of excuses, and I'm told this is now the price, take it or leave it.Yes, it donated items and they are discounted (usually) but there is also wear and tear, if I wanted to pay retail prices, I would go to a retail store....I'm tired of being treated poorly at this local, I won't be going back.

THEY HIDE THE DAMAGE WITH THE TAG/STICKER11/01/2014, I was passing by, I stopped and I got this table. That was for 14.99. It was sitting in my van. Today I decided to take it inside and I found out that they hide the damage underneath the sticker. Be careful when buying from them. First and last time buying from them.

Can it be any more difficult to donate something? You go there, the employee tells you you can donate your items and tells you to go back street. Yo do that, and see a sign stating that they do not accept donations today but you should come back tomorrow. Then you see an employee right there, and ask if they can accept your donation now. And he tells you "Not today, not tomorrow, come on Tuesday."People's time is much more valuable than you think. If I were to come back tomorrow just by looking at that sign, I was going to be denied again. It is ridiculous that I would have to drive here three times to be able to give something for FREE! Not to mention that they sell it for ridiculous prices and that's how Goodwill makes 5 Billion Dollars I guess.

NOT a donation center. This phrase should be removed from the store name.

I cannot say enough nice things about the new store manager Nicole. I was there earlier this morning, and found my mothers place settings of China, ask if she had any more in the back, she was kind enough to look, and I was able to surprise my mother with 6 More New Pl. settings to her China. Denise is absolutely awesome. Highly recommend this thrift store.

Satan himself must have hired the people who work here. I drive around for 10 minutes trying to find where they take donations, to no avail. So I go inside. It's like 2:13pm. They will NOT let me donate. Here I have freshly dry cleaned nice items and I'm literally crying in their lobby because I spent 40 minutes driving here from where I live, got into an accident, and just want to be able to donate these nice clean items and they still are just like. Absolutely no. What kind of philosophy do these people subscribe to? You have someone who wants to finish this donation trip that they made this much effort for on a weekend so badly they're literally crying and you absolutely refuse to help them because it's ~15 minutes past your completely arbitrary cut off time?? They do not care about their own community whatsoever.

Other locations have color tag based sales every day of the week. This one has nothing.

Is this a Goodwill or Nordstrom?! Overpriced items! $20 for a vase like excuse me??? Not to the mention the rude and UNHELPFUL employees. I mentioned to one of the employees that an item didn't have a price and asked if she can give me a price for it - she replied "Well I don't see a price on it". Like okay? I guess it's not for sale then? So sarcastic and rude. Overall, not coming back. Not worth it AT ALL.

Searched for the perfect picture frame and found a nice metal frame for $3.99, but at the register I was told that it was $9.99, and they didn't have anything priced that low. They had multiple picture frames starting at $2.99.

This is a review solely on the donation center, located at the back of the store. I called in advance to see if Goodwill will take non-operating microwaves. All Bay Area Goodwill accept operating and non-operating microwaves. This place does not. The folks at the donation center says there is a discrepancy between corporate and each donation site. Bullshit. I went to the donation site on Gellert and they accepted my microwave, no questions asked. Would not return here to donate.

Twice in the last week, I've driven over to the SSF store to make a donation. Both times I have found the donation bay temporarily closed for the day. I wish they would update the website hours when closure is necessary.
