Decent drop off with pleasant staff. BUT in spite of what the website says and what we were told on the phone yesterday they do NOT take televisions. Hope they make sure their site and staff know this when people ask.

Unfortunately I found absolutely nothing to buy, clothing, shoes & purse selection was sub par. I will not be back.

Excellent place to shop and at the same time help. They just need to raise the level of the items; more order and discard those that are no longer in purchasing condition.

Title: The Go-To Spot for Donations: The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation CenterReview:Located at 1170 Mission Rd in South San Francisco, The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center has become my preferred place for dropping off donations. From clothes to furniture and household items, they accept a wide range of goods, making it incredibly convenient for decluttering. The staff is always friendly and helpful, guiding you through the quick and easy donation process. And the best part? Knowing that the items you donate are going to be put to good use, either by being sold to support The Salvation Army's charitable programs or by going directly to those in need.If you have items to donate and you're in the South San Francisco area, I highly recommend this Salvation Army location. It's a straightforward way to give back to the community while also freeing up some space in your own home.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

I like this location because it's spacious and close by. I have found some items but most of the time they don't have a price and I'm quoted at the checkout. I was surprised when I got up to the cashier and asked for pricing and a not-so-good condition porcelain doll in which I got the response that it was worth $300 and I could get it for $60. Um no thanks. Then it was dropped to $30. Still no thanks. I was put off by this and skipped the item. Seems shady

Bro this place is actually one of the most disgusting salvation army ever, the amount of dust everywhere is just nasty, plus the employees were pretty rude , one cashier that does everything while everyone just stands around, One employee was slamming things around while moving, I don’t recommend this place again whoever is the manager here needs to do a better job or needs to get replaced., its unfortunate bc this salvation army could be great but the people that are running it is so inconsistent with prices and the amount of clothes that are just scattered everywhere is kinda insane, hopefully management can fix this and make it better.

Do they still not allow trying on clothes? Loss of a star for that, I need to know I fit the clothes I buy... especially if no returns?I love shopping here otherwise, really kind staff and nice items. Please bring back in store changing rooms! I'll update rating next time I go if they're open. :)

The worst store in the Bay Area, I went there to look for coffee table and found a nice one. I went ahead to pay for the table and there were 4 or 5 people ahead of me. When I was waiting to pay the lady at the counter kept giving free item for people who were already trying to “pay” I thought. After seeing that I was no going to give my money to such corrupt store.People donate employees benefits from supposedly Non profit charity.I encourage people not to donate to such bad store. The store should install a camera to see what is going on and where kind people generous donations goes. Two thumbs down to that store

I came here for non-apparel items and it was terrible. Smelled super old and musty, stains on the carpets, items were dirty, dusty and there was no quality control. Old olive oil bottles and random glass containers were being sold for $4-5 a piece when they were probably $1 at the dollar store brand new. Soooo expensive, more than Goodwill for sure. Super disappointing overall. Some guy who I think worked there was so loud and just kept yelling across the store which was very disruptive. There are a ton of racks of clothes though, so those sections might be better, but I wanted to get out of there ASAP.Felt gross, unsafe, and I will definitely not be back.

This is a great thrift store if you were Filipino. They give excellent discounts to furniture not priced to Filipinos but if you're Caucasian, they triple the price. Staff is very friendly and pricing is all over the place. I've asked about the same piece of furniture four times for four different people and I keep getting different prices.

They will try and change the price on you. It's happened to me 4 different times with different items. Horrible customer service.

Very disorganized. Should at least be separated by size. Even better by styles. But at least size should be organized.

Location was convenient, however what they will take IS NOT what is listed on website...need to correct! Rather frustrating to pack up per website only to arrive and acceptable items are completely different.
