This laundromat is the go to for me. There are a lot of washing machines and dryers. I’ve been washing my clothes there for almost 4 years. The owner Larry is really nice. He does keep his laundromat clean. The things that caught my attention is the way some people leave the area they use. It’s people who don’t clean after themselves leaving their used fabric softeners all over the floors and not cleaning up after themselves. The owner shouldn’t have to pick up after everyone. We all should be responsible for our mess so when the next person uses the machines its not a hot mess with spilt liquid detergent / softener all over the surface of the washing machine. The machine works well. (If you don’t over load it , your clothes comes out clean) The price is affordable and I haven’t gone to other laundromats but speed wash

I love going to this laundromat. The owner is super nice. The problem is when you are trying to dry your clothes it is very cut throat. There are certain customers that go there as i do all the time . They will save the dryers for their neighbors or friends while other people like myself will wait . There's been times that i left and had to dry my clothes somewhere else. There was conflict one time when a short guy tried to flex at me when I spoke up about it. I still stood up for myself and others who were waiting for the available dryers.

Speedwash is open early 'til late and has lots of machines, all high quality Dexters. Most of the time it is easy to get a machine to use, except occasionally when a customer leaves their clothes in the dryers and doesn't return for hours. The place is run by Larry who is a nice guy and has been running this and one other laundromat for decades. Larry is a decent guy. When I didn't understand the charges, he patiently explained over text message and phone. When a machine ate my money, he insisted on coming over and refunding me even though it was only 50c.I had washer/dryer hookups installed in my apartment, but then I realized the machines at Speedwash are better than anything I would buy myself. I'm glad to have Speedwash nearby, so my home hookups will probably go unused, because Speedwash is fast, convenient, and works for me.

I'm extremely disappointed, I've been washing clothes here for over 2 years now, the place is always very dirty and the machines are always broken. I definitely don't understand what could be going on

It’s standard, but a few things I wish were different:I wish they would clean out the detergent spots more often… I cleaned one out to do laundry. You’re welcome! I wish i knew my card would get charged $10 deposit every time I paid for a machine .___. And I wish they had the option for no heat air dry. Overall what I would expect in south city, but I won’t be back.

AWFUL. Would NEVER recommend THIS place to anyone. I needed a larger machine to wash my comforter and because the machines at this facility are beyond keep up and are disgusting, my comforter REEKS of mold and nasty mess. I use plenty of scents/sanitation related and I have never had my laundry come out worse than it went it in. Now I have to pay to get it serviced bc I can’t get this awful smelling stench out. Clean your machines!

The facility is good. I prefer laundromats with at least the sink where you can wash your hands, so unfortunately this place does not have that. I would have ranked this place higher but I have been here many times AND I'VE NOTICED THE CLIENTELE ARE, SORRY TO SAY, NASTY. I have witnessed in numerous occasions where they use the folding tables as a dinner table from the Domino's Pizza next door. I have also watched customers allow their children to literally walk on the tables where you fold your clothes and use the laundry baskets as buggies for their kids to jump in. It is unfortunate that I am giving this place a three star, but because the facility is good, I gave it a three. But this is not the only laundromat in the area that has the same situation. The Chestnut Wash and Dry which is close by has the same issue in regards to people eating on the folding tables and having their kids walk on the folding tables. So if you do decide to do your laundry here or Chestnut Wash and Dry, BRING SANITIZER WIPES TO WIPE DOWN THE TABLE PRIOR TO FOLDING.

They accept credit card payments and cash payments which is very convenient. I wish they would have a sink though so we can wash our hands if we need to.

The machine did not rinse my clothes! Just left all my clothes soaking wet and soapy! And there is no way to reach a human being to get refunded! Just an answering machine. Ridiculous. I was also double charged on my credit card the last time I was here. My credit card charges were for $38! For 3 washes and 3 dryers at 18 minutes each.Giving an extra star because there is parking, which is nice.EDIT:*revising my review. A nice man came while I was drying clothes and he refunded me!

Crowded and dirty, worst part, the dryer randomly doesn't work, take your money, work for 5 min then just stop, demand more money, what a scam! I have this happened to me multiple times. Fix your number 1 and number 3 dryer!

TL;DR - Great location, ample parking, and takes credit card!!This laundromat is awesome. It's kind of weird writing a review for an essential business but I am a person who enjoys places that give a little more than you expect.First, this location is fantastic. It's about ~5 minutes from Trader Joe's and Costco. At the plaza, you also have Salvation Army thrift store, Domino's Pizza, a liquor store, a nice little deli shop. This is great because while you're doing laundry, you can busy yourself! The laundry machines wash for about ~27 minutes. The smallest load is $3.25, and it goes up from there. I think there are about 4-5 different sized washing machines. I think to get the best bang for your buck, you should have at least 2-3 loads and use the $5-something machine, but that's just my opinion.I really like this place because they let you use credit card or coins. I use credit card for the washing machines, and coins for the dryers. A quarter is 6 minutes. I felt like it dried most of my stuff very quickly.
