Absolutely incredible service and very detailed oriented, exactly what you want when it comes to paperwork specifics! I've been using TheTaxGuySF for my filings for years now, with the first couple done by Alan and the last few seasons being done by Kevin. I have a huge peace of mind knowing everything will be filed on time AND Kevin has helped us find deductions we didn't know we had qualified for :)
Very thorough, extremely reliable, prompt replies to my questions. 5/5. I am a long term customer who is very happy!

TY 2022 was my first year using The Tax Guy SF and I had an excellent experience from onboarding to filing. I was assigned to Kevin Leitner, who was consistently knowledgeable, organized, prepared, responsive, professional and kind. I had a number of questions that Kevin answered with promptness, clarity and patience each time. The company online platform is easy to use and their prices are more than reasonable. I look forward to many more years with Kevin and The Tax Guy SF.

What a wonderful experience working with Jean at The Tax Guy SF! I have always been so frustrated working with other accountants and bookkeepers. Jean is proactive and on top of her game. She is a QB guru, asks the right questions and is always doing her best to ensure my books are accurate. She helps me plan ahead and is wonderful to work with. She is available and quick to respond to every email/call. I am so happy I found her.

Had an absolutely stellar experience with The Tax Guy SF working with Kevin Leitner. The initial engagement and onboarding was very easy. Once we got our forms in, it was simple to book an appointment and Kevin had everything done and ready for us to review exactly as planned. He spent time walking us through the returns and was able to adjust to handle a late form on our part. He was super quick and responsive and I felt very confident that our returns would be handled in a timely manner. We will definitely be working with Kevin going forward and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new tax preparer.

I've turned to TheTaxGuySF to prepare my taxes for the last two years and each time has been great. Tyler was very efficient and thorough in preparing my taxes and has been responsive in answering questions by email or over video call. The tax payments and refunds were in line with what I expected each time. Tyler is very knowledgeable and has helped me navigate through different scenarios that have come up, including estimated taxes and stock sales.

Poor to little response to build and confidence in ability to gangle my tax situation. Was very clear about specific irs form needs. They didn't even acknowledge my question rather just gave me stock vanilla answer.

What would I do without The tax guy and his team! I've been coming here for yearssss, Alan and his team are the only people I trust with my taxes. Started with the W2's to owning my own lash extension business. Who knew there would be so so so much things I needed to do to get it started up legally. I had my business running without any knowledge on taxes, forming an llc, bookkeeping, quickbooks, everything and anything you can think of. Alan also hooked me up with Jean's bookkeeping services and my life has changed for ever. She set me up with quickbooks and making sure I know how to use it. Telling me what and what not to do , to make sure I keep my business expenses and sales organized. Every time I have a question, they are one call or email away! & when a form is due, they make sure I am aware of it. Fast forward couple years later, I feel much more in tuned and super organized with my business and I can't thank Alan & Jean enough. During the pandemic, Alan & his team reached out to all of their clients with so many resources on grants & government loans, even updating us where to find the fastest lender. I am for - ever grateful. This is like A1 service over here. I even had my friends asking me who's my accountant & bookkeeper is and I can't stop raving. They're amazing, save yourself the headache. Get off youtube or google, stop asking your friends for advice. Get this professional help with your taxes. Alan & Jean are always so patient with me and making sure that my books are in line and prepared for tax season. I wouldn't know what to do without them! If I have only known or met Alan the tax guy years ago I'd probably have triple the savings and he's so affordable understanding and truly saved me 15k. For sure will be using his service from now on! Go to him for all your tax needs! You will not regret it!

Everyone at TheTaxGuySF was polite and prompt during most of our interactions. Unfortunately, my tax preparer made a massive error on my taxes. This simple error (counting my income twice) caused me to overpay my taxes by over six figures. I mentioned that the tax bill was higher than expected, but the preparer assured me that this figure was correct. I made the payment. Months later, I got a second opinion from a different CPA. Sure enough: this CPA pointed out that I had, in fact, paid double what I owed. Once presented with this information again, TheTaxGuySF promptly confirmed their mistake, refunded my filing fee, and filed an amended return with the IRS + state of California. Almost a year later, I have not received one penny of my overpayment back from the IRS. While it is not TheTaxGuySF's fault for the IRS's lack of speed in the return of my money, it is their fault for not being detail oriented and putting me in this situation to begin with. Before I hired them, they assured me that they had experience filing taxes for individuals in my situation. They oversold and underdelivered. Their action to refund my filing fee was kind, but it does not make up for the six-figure shaped hole in my bank account. I followed up recently requesting any information about the slowness of the return, as I assumed TheTaxGuySF would have more insight into this process than I possibly could. My preparer responded with an indignant, rude, and testy attitude. Their message was essentially "this is not our problem now". No one is perfect. I am not a tax professional, so I hired a tax professional to avoid a catastrophic tax situation. It's safe to say that TheTaxGuySF did not fulfill my needs. I suppose a massive overpayment is better than any form of underpayment, but this quagmire is certainly a runner-up worst case scenario. Proceed with extreme caution.

The Tax Guy is an INCREDIBLE tax service that I have used for several years! Each year they are wonderfully communicative, fast, and thorough with my taxes. I have worked mostly with Alan who is an amazing representative of the company and I have also worked with Jean who is equally a tax/financial super hero :) If you are looking for great people to help you with your taxes, look no further than The Tax Guy!! :)

My taxes were complicated this year so I needed a professional to help. The TaxGuy was great, I sent all my documents electronically and had a video appt to go through everything. They filed them for me electronically and I can sleep again!
