Aztec Paving-DO NOT HIRE. They completed paving work for our neighborhood, did not complete the sealing of the work that they did so we have ongoing issues, and the worst part is that their unsecured IT network was hacked and our HOA received wire instructions to make our payment once the job was supposedly complete and were scammed. Aztec does not carry insurance to cover cybersecurity issues or wire fraud so after the hacker went into their system and defrauded us, Aztec sued us for non-payment breach of contract and tried to add 10% interest to the unpaid amount, plus a 1.5% monthly interest expense for non-payment. They have a long history of suing customers for various reasons and trying to bully the customer into settling to avoid years long attorneys fees. The typical big bank take little bank mentality. Shameful business practices. They will never do business in this neighborhood again, and for anyone considering hiring them, you will be held liable for their lack of customer protection and their unique inability to ensure the proper security systems are in place to prevent cyber attacks. Unbelievable the measures they go through to be sub par in their work, frivolous with customer information, irrevocably damage long standing relationships, and simply move on to the next victim after suing their last victim.

The streets in this neighborhood have since deteriorated to an embarrassing level, crumbling away! This company should not be in business as I said 3 years ago! The neighborhood had lost value because of their shoddy work!

Pat and his crew at Aztec Paving did a beautiful job re-sealing our driveway in La Mesa. They filled in the cracks that had developed over the last couple of years and left a uniformly smooth finish. All edges and corners were neatly sealed. We chose Aztec because of the nice job they had done at Mt. Helix Park and couldn't be happier. They accommodated our schedule and the price was very reasonable.Mike H.

The Nordstrom of AsphaltTwo years ago, we got several quotes to re-asphalt our driveway, but took no action due to general dread. We weren't looking forward to spending the money or having heavy equipment on the driveway.A few weeks ago, Patrick Ferry of Aztec Paving called to say he'd driven by and noticed our driveway still needed repair. We marveled at this incredible feat of salesmanship - that this man would circle back on a bid from two years prior. We've had instances where we couldn't even get a company to respond to a request for a quote, so this level of follow-through blew our minds. This, plus the fact that Aztec's quote was the most reasonable, helped us decide to move forward. We love our glorious new driveway, which took a mere two days to complete. The Aztec crew was fast, efficient, respectful of our property, and were great communicators throughout the process. Even our neighbors commented on how courteous "the guys working on your driveway" were.Thank you, Patrick, and the whole crew at Aztec Paving. Your customer service is on par with Nordstrom.

Aztec Paving just finished replacing our driveway. They did excellent work at a reasonable price, showed up as scheduled, worked efficiently and professionally, and were easy to work with. We would certainly recommend them. An outstanding company!

Aztec Paving did an excellent job repairing and resurfacing the streets of our HOA. Of the bids we received, Aztec was the most competitive and the only one to include a substantial amount of asphalt repair. Pat, the estimator, was great to work with, very responsive, and stayed in communication throughout the process. He was on site each day to address issues and make sure the job was done right. We’re very happy with Aztec Paving's work and would recommend them.

I needed 4200sf of asphalt installed. I Told Patrick the job was in Tecate, CA, and he said they didn't go that far because they don't go out of the county. I told him Tecate is in SanDiego county, about an hours drive. He said "Well then, you can just take your job elsewhere". I did.

Aztec paving was AMAZING! They handled my private street very professionally and competently. The saying is true you get what you pay for!! To anyone looking for an asphalt company this is the best company. They are a small family owned business that has customer service as their priority, they always showed up early and got the job done quick and right. The entire street was dug up and replaced and is a dream to drive on. The sand is never swept up by ANY company unless you pay an extra fee!

What an awful experience and I worked for a paving company so I know. They paved the roads in our neighborhood two months ago, they told a contractor he could drive on the fresh macadam! Trucks were lined down the street, storms moving in and sure enough they did it anyway and it did not cure enough because it was too cold when the put it down and it rained on it right away and there were tire ruts down the middle of our street. They came back a few days later and patched it up, yes they patched a brand new job. Then a week later they spread sand on all the cul-de-sacs "for a few weeks". They have never come back to sweep it up so we keep dragging it in the garage and house. I give them zero stars because we have lived with sand for two months and we are not on the beach, you can still see the ruts down the middle of the street, when cars turn their wheels it digs the pavement, the long term road survival will be shortened because it was put down too cold and they have not bothered to clean up the sand long after they said it would not be needed.
