Smog guy Jonny was rude. If I could give 0 stars I would. Didnt explain why my smog failed and told me to just go fix the problem. Wasted my money and the worst experience ever doing Smog test. Jonny should not be working for people if he's gonna be rude . I wouldn't trust him foxing my car at all if I had too.

One of the reps in our company recommended this shop as we needed a quick and reasonable priced shop to replace a belt and other parts, he took it there and I was surprised with the excellent service, highly recommended to anyone in the spring valley, lemon grove El Cajon la mesa area

I came here because he was recommended by one of my close friends. Big mistake! Guy nitpicks what he wants to smog, usually newer cleaner cars and just refers you somewhere else if he doesn’t want to do your vehicle. I was told “the machine doesn’t work” on my 1998 chevy work truck which is well taken care off mechanically even though he was finishing up a newer looking car no problem and preceded to smog a ladys 97 mercedes i was chatting with as i was leaving, so what was that about the machine not working again? All is well I ended up going where I usually go in east county, which is what I should of done in the first place. Im sorry I don’t own a “newer truck” kind of hard to justify when they go for 40+K on the marken now....

Still taking my car here, it's old but still going!! Thanks to Jon the best mechanic in the world !! He's very reasonable and efficient!! There was a time when nobody else could fix my car and the one place that thought they could was going to charge me a outrageous price!! I just love this place!!!

I have been yo this place a few times. I found out about them through my neighbor. John does good work, reasonably priced and timely. Trustworthy! Recently came her to get tune up, but after 2 hours was told he couldn't do oil change as air filter casing was TOO TIGHT and it would break, take it back to who did it,which was a Toyota dealer. He said, I still didn't need spark plugs, so to wait on it and cabin filter. He didn't charge me. As it is dealer, charged me $175, to do oil change and replace oil filter housing..grrrrr! John said housing should cost about $50 but dealership cost $125. Yikes! That's why I wanted to go to John, honest and fair.

If you are looking for honesty and integrity look no further. I have a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic I use for personal use when I'm not working and the check engine light has been on for a few weeks and I was dreading the verdict on what needed to be fixed. I'm no mechanic as most of us here but I decided to take it in to John after the oil change did not make the engine light go off. My stepdaughter takes her xterra to him and she swears by him. I pull up expecting the worse and even though he was working on another car he took the time to plug in the diagnosis deal under my dash. He looked at me and smiled, "your car isn't going to break down, your gas cap isn't on right." We looked and the rubber gasket was a little deformed and I managed to fix it myself. I don't know how many mechanics would have been this honest. I appreciate you John! I will be back.
