December 8, 2023. 5 South by 8th Street Exit. Experienced with an inconsiderate and a moron driver around 5:45pm. Jack As decided to be impatient and waited till the end to merge into my lane last minute, when their lane already ended. The stups driver even had to drive by the side of the freeway just so he could get in front of me. So much for a Medical Transportation company. Not my first time dealing with this company's Jack As drivers.

Drivers have been very late (more than 20 minutes) multiple times causing my husband to be late to his physical therapy appointments. The worst part is no one communicates when they are going to be late so it leaves us rushing and stressing last minute to figure out a ride. My husband and I have both called dispatch more than once and they have not been helpful and do not look for solutions. The lack of communication and empathy from this company is not ok and something needs to be changed! If you are an employee here please show this comment to the management because there is a clear disconnect between management/dispatch/drivers. If my husband is late to his appointment the physical therapy office has to cancel his appointment, which in turn stresses me out because he needs his physical therapy post knee surgery!!

Almost all the drivers and one woman in dispatch (who’s no longer there) have been pleasant. However, some drivers drive too fast, don’t speak English, and don’t communicate if they’re running late; which puts you at risk of missing your appt and feels unsafe. Their main dispatch is terrible. They put patients’ mental health and physical safety at severe risk on multiple occasions, and they keep passengers waiting 1-3 hours to get home (normally a 15-20 min drive time). I won’t get into details of the terror of 2 different experiences, but I know first hand. On top of that, dispatch will blame passengers for their own errors, take zero accountability, or they’ll act highly put out to accommodate basic requests. They’re dealing with patients and need to have more care and concern for the requirements involved in doing so. The reality is, which I’ve heard straight from the stressed out drivers and their dispatch, they’re short staffed on drivers. The drivers will blame dispatch, and dispatch will blame drivers for poor communication and mishaps that adversely affect patients; with no resolution. Furthermore, dispatch won’t listen to/notate explicit directions needed to transport someone safely. They’ll allege it’s improving and they’re hiring more drivers, but the last 2-3 years has shown the contrary. If you need to feel safe and get home timely, avoid this company.

This is my first experience having to use wheelchair transportation due to my 12 yr old son being in an accident leaving him wheelchair bound and this is the worst inconvenience and inconsiderate transportation for handicap individuals the drivers have no courtesy when driving as far as speeding & hitting the bumps in the road, I have made several complaints for my sons safety and was completely discarded by the manager Crystal Brown she basically told me that I complain too much and refused to take anymore pick ups from me and that my future scheduled pick ups would be cancelled!! We have been dropped off at the wrong location at times, they have been late picking us up and we missed appointments and we also waited once for 2 hrs to be picked up frm an appointment which she was well aware of and not once did we ever receive an apology!! I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed by such behavior, the way she insulted and disrespected me during our conversations on the phone is totally unacceptable I actually cried!! It’s hard enough as it is already dealing with my families new life as far as my son transitioning and Black Tigers definitely didn’t make it any better by refusing service!!!

It's not good, late, and no communication. The only one good thing was Kamal, my first driver. He was great.

Broke my foot 4/15- told no walking at all on footNeeded a ride 4/23Was half an hour late, small car and struggled to get in with my cast.Dropped me off 2 blocks from appointment.Waited 2 hours for pick up, never came. Friend sent uber for me instead. Second check up, 15 minutes late ... again. Van with ramp. Drive 15 minutes wrong direction. Dropped me off 4 blocks from appointment when I am not supposed to walk at all. Had to walk because appt started without me, ended up falling IN VIEW of driver because I called to say I was dropped off in wrong location and he turned around. Yelled at me to get into the wheel chair ramp van, and drove me the last half block to my appt. Was upset I didn't want to wait and fill out paperwork for my fall when I was over 20 minutes late, covered in dirt and couldn't see from the fall breaking my glasses. Ended up going to ER that night after appt, friend picked me up. Can barely walk to bathroom, can't stand for more than 3 minutes. TL;DRWas late and dropped me off at wrong location twice. Fell and was yelled at for walking when I did give them the right location. Didn't break my knee cap but have serious deep bruised and torn ligaments that will take months to heal.Skip this company. Use anyone else. They don't let you know they are late, and when you call they act like it's bothering them and always say "your driver is 5 minutes away" when really they are over 20 minutes away. Unsafe, was left to fend for myself and treated poorly when I asked for a seat belt extender for comfort instead of being choked out. FALL WARNING

As you can tell by the other reviews black tiger transport has sent me a Toyota Prius when a wheelchair Transit van was supposed to show up recently when checking out of the hospital I was waiting for them to pick me up I was in a wheelchair and the driver came to my room in the hospital and said are you Laura I'm here to pick you up she had no wheelchair no gurney and expected me to follow her out carrying a lot of belongings that I brought to the hospital with me on me personally as they are not allowed to help with bags I had had three surgeries for a broken hip and could not walk I was ordered for a gurney transport home and they brought the wrong kind of vehicle they have never been on time and now they want me to get an insurance authorization number every single time before I go to the doctor's office for my appointments I did not used to have to do this and today the lady I talked to on the phone was very rude when I told her I did not used to have to do this and she said I've been here since 2016 and it's always been that way company policies I would never recommend them to anyone the most horrible unprofessional transportation company I have ever seen what a nightmare they need to be shut down and find by the state!

My experience has been poor and tonight was a low point. It has always been about the pick up. My understanding is that the company policy is to ggo to the corr of their passengers unit. Someone ought to tell the drivers. So you never know what’s going to happen. Coming to the door, calling on phone, waiting outside, showing up late, showing up early and being impatient. At least there is consistency in one area - no matter what the mess up is, it is always the patient’s fault. I was ten minutes late onetime because I was ready and waiting for the driver to come to the door, for the first time he is waiting outside, no phone call - they REFUSED Tto take me to MY FIRST RADIATION TREATMENT FOR CANCER. Another time they take me 20 miles to an appt in La Jolla - I waited an hour and forty minutes after the appt. Was over to pick me up. Tonight was the last time I will ever be involved with them. MRI time is very difficult to get here. I really needed the test bsdly. The imaging dept. from the hospital was flexible as my situation didn’t fit their requirements exactly - that’s customer service. I am elderly and disabled but I accepted the midnight appt. For a brain MRI and two additional imaging tests because time was important and the next appt is a month away when I called in. No show, no call, confirmed the insurance company had placed the order. Called when there was no show after 15 minutes……… someone picked up the call, hing up immediately thenhid behind the tape machine when i called back. Each time that I give them another chance I approach the situation as if it were the first time - cheery and polite. Apparently they are so petty they want to harbor a grudge. That has no place in business, particularly when the client’s health and life is at stake. Don’t want to perform with enthusiasm - turn down the biz then. Maybe the dispatcher is a wonderful human being who I have caught on 3 epicly bad days but before me the 3 star rating indicstes otherwise. I am tetired, tan my own business - the major metropolitan newspaprr in my city called me “ground -breaking and innovative” for the unprecedented level of customer service I practiced. If anyone was at fault in the less than perfect experience , it was me. I am not litigious tall, thinking of chnging that position depending on the extent of the damage from their pettiness and lsck of professionalism. Thanks for reading.

Our family has used this company twice to transport my disabled, elderly grandma by gurney to multi-stop medical appointments (whereas taking her from one appointment location to another in the same trip). We had used a different company prior to using this one and Black Tiger was by far a superior choice! They were so much better that we were willing to pay a little more than the other company just to feel confident in the service we were going to get, the second time we needed their service. Both times the drivers were on time to load my grandma and on time to drop her off. Not only were they dependable but both workers on each trip were so kind and interactive with my grandma. They had her laughing and feeling like an actual human being (which isn't always the case with other companies). She may be in her nineties but she loves someone with a good sense of humor.Regardless of other people's reviews, I can only speak for us and we have had nothing but positive experiences and we are very thankful for this company.

There are no words, but I'm going to try to find some.....this transportation company was the only one willing to help out with one of our District family's with a daughter with special needs in a tricky time sensitive Dr. appt. They arrived on time to pickup and drop-off with staff that was incredibly kind, sensitive to the family's needs, and professional. They worked with our District and we look forward to working with them more often, as well as spreading the word that this company has heart! They have single handedly restored my faith in humanity. Thank you Black Tiger Transportation!
