I was so impressed with this Union Bank branch! I parked easly, walked in was greated by the security guard. Then waited a few mins and was greated by a teller. I explained I wanted to fill out paperwork for direct deposite for my home loan. She called the manager and she greated me like she knew me. I filled out everything then they gave me a copy of the paperwork. I went to leave and the security guard who greated me before asked if I would tell him where I got my shoes, he said they looked so comfortable. We talked and after offered candy and I was on my way feeling like I got service and then some, this was in December 2021. Reacently went to the Union bank in El Cajon on N 2nd st. Went to go in and doors were closed, not like the Spring Vally branch. I waited till I was buzzed in. Went to update info for my home loan, got to the manager a brunette gal. She took some time getting to me. the origional teller told me that they were by apointment only. Ok so I got to speak to the manager who did not seem to understand my needs. I explaned who to call and that they have the info. She answered like she didnt believe I had reacently spoke to this lady on the phone who instructed me to go to the branch to complete the paper work, Finally she got it, went to go call, on the way took her time went over to other customers who were sitting there then got to her desk. as she is calling to verify my claim it took some time then when off the phone other employees came up to her desk asking questions while all the time ive been waiting. Why she did not get to me before answering employees questions I dont know. I was a manager and it was rare I would help others until I was compete with a customer. Note on the web site it is not saying by apointment only and why Union bank has no easy way to email them I dont know as I believe it would be better to be accessable instead of me going on YELP.

I have been banking with this branch for over a decade for my personal needs. I later expanded the relationship for business purposes and the staff has continued been nothing but great. I have also had the pleasure of working with their Senior Relationship Bankers, Mr. Jose Pineda and Mrs. Liza Alia. They are both phenomenally helpful and kind. I love doing my banking there. I have also been using Union Bank's online banking services since 1996 and never had an issue.

Liza, the bank manager, really went out of her way to help me with some issues. She made me feel so valued. She treated me the way all bankers should treat their customers, with respect and kindness. The branch in La Mesa, Spring Street normally would help me but that branch burned down. I've been so sad about it because I used to drive there from Eastlake just to get great customer service! I have renewed hope with Liza. One conversation and I already feel like I have a great business relationship with her. Thank you for saving the day Liza, especially during these crazy, uncertain times that we are living in. I appreciate you so much.

Banks are like relationships you either in love or you are not. It takes a lot for me to drive thirty minutes to see an amazing person named Liza. This branch is an example of what customer service is all about. If you are a big customer or a small customer they treat the same. What stands out about this branch is Liza who runs a tight ship with an amazing crew.Anytime I have any issues I just make one call to Liza or my private banker for all my banking needs. From business to personal banking Union Bank has been here for me everytime. I could not be more thankful for all the amazing staff that Liza has to make the customers all feel special,

If I could I would give them a minus 10. Worst bank to deal with. Flying home to close my account and going back to the credit union. Always putting holds on my deposits or my direct deposits from my employer. Nobody willing to resolve any issues in a proper way. Stay away from this bank.

This branch is closed during covid 19. Sign on door yesterday. Says on website they are open but i havent had any luck. Had to visit 4 "supposedly open" branches yesterday to find one that would take my deposit. One on 2nd st. Told me i couldnt go in because i wasnt a known regular. Obviously abandoning customers during this crisis.

Super easy process, the manager is wonderful! All these people writing bad reviews are probably mad at something that isn't the banks fault, but their own. I've always had a difficult time cashing my checks but here it was the easiest it's ever been! Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thank you!

The manager is very rude and unhelpful, the personnel is new does not value customers that have been with Union Bank for decades. AVOID!

This used to be a top notch bank.With knowledgeable and professional personal. Well those days are gone. They all retired and the new crew could care less . Starting with the manager. You want any kind of service your in the right place you want good and helpful service go to National city Union Bank . It's worth the drive.

I wish I can give (-5) MINUS FIVE to this branch from the service I got from Jose Pineta. This person should not deal with customers what-so-ever. I asked him a question and he said I don't know you, you need to come to the branch. I said can you please ID me and just answer a simple question, he said no. Horrible customer service by Jose and again he should never deal with customers. I am sure that nothing is going to happen and no one will respond to this comment. It is sad to see customer service fade away.

this branch is giving counterfeit money. i got $100 bill fake brought. when i realized i brought it back and explain everything to them. they didnt want it to echange the bill. they just took my bill and told that i have lost $100 dollars. then they fill up a form without telling me and they said that they didnt know where the money was coming from. when i told them that it came from them. make sure you check all your bills before leving. because this isnt the first time it happend i know another customer that he when tru same situation and for me this was the second time they gave me fake money. im not coming back ever to this brach. the manager is really rude i dont know her name but she doesnt care about customers. she make me fell like i was lying and want it to robe from the bank. when i been a customer for almost 7 years and been visiting this branch for that time. good luck to everyone.
