Angell Field is a beautiful and very well-maintained track and field at Stanford University, open to the public. It features a full nine-lane track with a pleasantly bouncy surface, a real grass field, clean bleachers and stands, and all the facilities for a track meet. It is easily accessible with plenty of free parking nearby. The track is perfect for working out and makes running enjoyable. It is cleaner and feels more open compared to other local tracks. People of all levels use it, from novices to college athletes. However, it does get crowded at times. It is unavailable on most weekdays from about 2-6pm for team practices and can be busy on Thursdays due to a run club. Some users may demarcate lanes for training, but with nine lanes, there is generally plenty of room. It remains a great space to hang out or workout when there are no events or practices.
I went over there to check out the facilities, and was pleased to find that they were open and include bathrooms.

Beautiful field at Stanford University. Maintained well and easily accessible. Track gets crowded on Thursday because of the run club and on other days because of the track and field day. But is open to the public otherwise.
November 2023
Perfect track for working out. Unfortunately it's unavailable from about 2-6pm most weekdays because the track and field team is practicing then.
