Perfect track for working out. Unfortunately it's unavailable from about 2-6pm most weekdays because the track and field team is practicing then.

Very cool experience to go this track. Went with my cross country team and we enjoyed running around campus and on the track. We even got to see some Stanford athlete practicing. A couple laps around this track and I felt faster already. It's got the full nine lanes and has all of the other facilities for a fully fledged track meet. Open to the public as well!

Very well maintained over the years, both the field and the track.Bleaches and the stand is also clean and well kept. It's always a pleasure to workout there.Update on Aug 10, 2023: You get to see all kinds of people here, from novice to college athletes.

If you don't like running on sidewalks (can be a tight squeeze at times & you might accidentally kick some jutting edges) & roads (annoying camber; cars; stoplights & intersections), and instead prefer doing laps on a track (pleasantly bouncy surface; only thing to dodge are other walkers/ runners; don't need to worry about venturing out too far if you need to cut the run short for whatever reason), then Cobb Track is where it's at.I've tried the Cartan Athletic Field (at Menlo College in Atherton), Terremere Field (at Sequoia High School), and this one edges out the other two - it's cleaner, feels more open, and there are like, 9 or 10 lanes for you to run around in circles to your heart's content. Plenty of free parking nearby, too.Wish it were open all day everyday but I'll take what I can get.Downsides? Gets a bit crowded, and some folks will demarcate lanes for their niche training. But again, there's plenty of room to swerve & move around. There are even groups of 20+ runners doing warm-up laps clockwise taking up 4 lanes, and you still have plenty of lanes if you're going CW. S-tier track. 11/10. Makes doing distance work actually somewhat enjoyable.

This is a nice field with real grass. There are little stands around the area to provide shade for people on the track and/or field. It is open to the public. Just a great space to hang out when there are no events.

I've gone running at this track a few times and love how bouncy it is. The restrooms here are also surprisingly really clean. Parking is free after 4 PM most days (all day on Sunday) and it's open to the public at certain hours. As of 10/4/21, public visiting hours are Monday-Friday from 6-9 PM, Saturday 12-9 PM and all day Sunday. The only rules are that you can't use lanes 1-3 or step on the grass.

Had a nice time for a Stanford Baseball event. The track had another event (by Nike) on the same day. There are four L2 chargepoint chargers I could use.

I absolutely love running on this track! It's cushy and well groomed. You can do HIIT and circuit training as well as bleacher climbs during your running sessions. This is also a great place to train for a biathlon. Cycle here and lock your bike safely on the rack and start running. There are signs that say the track is closed to the public but there is clearly folks that exercise or train on it.

This is really nice track - but it's closed The environment and silence around campus gets you focused to run or jog here It's like utopia to run here / but maybe it's just me

As long as you conform to their public visiting hours below... this track is world class. I've been using it to ramp up my running after I couldn't walk from a fracture. Now it's fun to revive the good old days in T&F without being a professional athlete :) Stay to the rules, and don't run in the lanes permanently designed for the athletic teams. Bleachers are also off-limits, though rarely enforced. It is unclear to me how COVID-19 has impacted the below opening hours. Mon 7:00 am - 1:00 pm 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thu 7:00 am - 1:00 pm 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Fri 7:00 am - 1:00 pm 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Sat 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Sun 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Clean, all-weather track that is never too crowded. Hours are posted on the bleacher entrance. Bathrooms are clean and open at 7:30am! Do NOT leave valuables in your car! We helped someone call the non-emergency line this morning because their car was broken into (~9-10am on a Sunday) and valuables were stolen.
