I did not know purses weren't allowed inside the venue unless they were clear plastic. However, the kind security man gave me a Stanford plastic bag to use instead of my fanny pack. I emptied my contents in the bag and he held my pack until I was ready to leave.

Stanford Men's gymnastics is a spectacle to behold. In addition to the die hard Stanford gymnastics boosters, why these Spring events are not filled with eager spectators is beyond me. It's international level performance at a Bay Area local level.

So far I have seen men's volleyball and men's. It is an older building, one of the original or the original sports pavilion at Stanford University built in the thirties I believe. What I like about this venue compared to maples pavilion is, that it is much more cosy and the energy is really good when the games or meats are taking place. The water fountains upfront , refill stations for water bottles were not in operation last time I was there though they have nice men's and women's restrooms. The seating is bleachers only except for the VIP area upstairs which I have not experienced. There are several rules which I have taken a picture of and posted so there is no confusion. No metal bleacher seats, no tripods or selfie sticks, tripods can be tripped over in case of an emergency selfie sticks can hit other customers in the head. no whole fruit because it's something people can throw and is a safety hazard. One of the biggest rules at all of the venues is no flash photography because it can disorient the athletes. No cans or bottles, they are a safety hazard and especially in gymnastics the athletes run around barefoot. I saw a few customers arguing with usher's about these rules and, they are non-negotiable from what I understand. There are athlete workout facilities in the back which are off-limits to customers most of the time. You are very close to the action there so it is very exciting if you are into the sports and really get a chance to appreciate the athleticism of the elite athletes. Some events are free entry and they don't mind you bringing in a sandwich, snack or a refillable bottle during most events as long as refillable are empty when you bring it in. Oh yeah, no alcohol whatsoever allowed in the building. No remote control objects, frisbie's, balls or any other projectiles are permissible. Some of its are free ed students get into most of us free if not all plus if you're a student at Stanford University there are many perks and they give you lots of swag. I highly recommend checking out some events here if you're the general public and, if you're a student you will have a great time and get some free stuff. All in all a very fun place to watch an event.
