I’ve been here every year since 2016 but in the last 25 years I’ve come to find Stanford Hospital is consistently improving and attracting great talent. They have grown to Pleasanton, San Ramon and Emeryville. All in all a great place and great doctors

My partner had a minimally invasive heart surgery in December 2022. We were in the hospital for 2 days; the staff could not have been more kind or attentive. Be sure to check out the resource center and roof top gardens. Made a tough day as comfortable as possible.

I need a rare type of eye surgery. Your Dr Manche is a gatekeeper to the surgeon in Canada that can do it. The Canadian Dr needed complex Topography of my eye that few except Stanford can do. It MUST be printed in color or it is useless. Color shows elevation change.Stanford and Dr Manche keep sending Black and White photos, NOT color topography, to other doctors, and to me. They have even sent me black and white photos along WITH a copy of my instructions that it must be in color. I keep telling them that it needs to be in color, but they will not listen. That Dr OKd me for the surgery but has completely lost interest since Stanford will not send him what he needs. This incompetence has been going on for OVER TWO YEARS. Yes; over 2 years.I NEED STANFORD TO GIVE ME MY MEDICAL RECORDS in the same form that they demand from other doctors. All I need is a few color copies.Dr Manche, Theresa, and Luci, will no longer accept or return calls from me. They are keeping me blind. One star is too many.-Dennis Belillo, Martinez Ca.Addendum: After I submitted this review/complaint, and after TWO YEARS and THREE MONTHS of nothing but foulups on their end, surprise, Stanford finally sent me what I needed (thank you Lana, I wish I'd been able to talk with you first). The Canadian doctor has long since gotten tired of dealing with the Stanford fools and won't talk with me but I found an eye surgeon in the states who can do it, and has scheduled me in three weeks ---- after, as I said, over two years of waiting for Stanford to simply send me my own records.

Stanford's guest services department has been declining badly over the last 3-4 years just as most of the other departments throughout Stanford, which is bad for what used to be known as such a top rated medical facility across our country. Quality of care has been tossed out the window for quantities of both patients and students. It's now about the numbers game only!

I called about an issue and the person refused to listen and refused to escalate my call then he (DeAndre) hung up on me. Looking at the reviews, I'm not the only one with an issue here and not the only one who got hung up on. Disgusting.

I want to give 0 but was not allowed. Almost all my doctors at Stanford are doing great job to help me except ONE. My experience with guess service is terrible especially Cynthia Cahilig and Phoebe Brown. They claimed that they are Patient Relation and will take care of our complaints. But NO, nothing but playing games. I complained about that ONE doctor at Stanford. Phoebe Brown called me and left a voice to tell me to call back. Since she not in working in the office due to Covid, she does not answer the phone but played phone tags all day. Then I called her boss Cynthia Cahilig-same thing happy. They provides the lowest customer service. I also think they refused to take my complaint because of minority status. They hate my accent! They refused to listen to my complaints and refused to communicate with me but play phone tags all the times. Why can't they use emails, voice mesg or text? No way, they acts like Republican bullies and want their ways or highway. Their ways of doing business also violated, including but not limited to, First Amendment right, equal protection, due proces clauses and Class ONE. Oh, I they need not to follow the laws and they can harrass, threaten and abuse us.

Very unorganized. Stanford claims to be concerned about protecting patients and employees. Though their employees/ students/ staff come and go all day from the hospital, cancer center, medical offices making the screening policy pathetic. In fact some even slip through side doors. Doctors denying loved ones to be present during consultation or treatments. Meanwhile plenty of space avail for MA, NP, MD.Doctors who enjoy balking orders never taking time to visit their pt during treatments. Many issues at Stanford.

The worst system any prestigious institution could implement. First off. Stanford Heath Care should have patient advocates available for patient needs/ concerns / complaints to represent the patient. Secondly. There should be a patient relations department by which the concerns of the patient can be made directly rather then going through hoops and jumps. Third. Team management need to accept responsibility and respond to patient complaints rather then side step or brush them off. It’s become evident in my short experience with Stanford that doctors and those in positions to address patient complaints lack spine to face their complainants. Stanford is only concerned about generating profit and saving face. Never mind providing quality service.

I can see why they called Stanford Hospital one of if not the best. Thank you... to all of you that was willing to listen to me and filter out what I was trying to say even though to my best of ability of me trying to convey what I was feeling and helping me right get back on track. May god bless all of you. 5... no 7 stars!!

This department's standards have really fallen. It used to be that you were lucky to find a Guest Services manager who was ineffectual. Now, as manager Phoebe Brown has recently proven, you can't do any better than incompetent stonewalling liar.
