I had been going to Barreras for my taxes for the last few years and never had a real problem with them I thought they were reasonably priced and did a good job, until this year Adriana did my taxes and did not disclose to me until the very end that she more than DOUBLED the preparation fee. naturally, I was not happy with this as I feel that if there is going to be a price increase it should be transparent and disclosed PRIOR to any business arrangement that takes place. regardless though, I was still willing to move forward since she already prepared my taxes and Adriana told me she would send me the docusign to confirm everything, it was a Sunday so I wasn't alarmed that she didn't send it, however come Monday afternoon I still had not received the docusign so I called her office and they told me they would send it over, I never recieved it so I called back in a few hours assuming they were busy for being so close to the deadline. They told me they would send it in 10 minutes and call me to make sure I got it. i still did not receive the docusign or a call. I called a third time and told them I still hadn't gotten it after calling several times that day. They finally sent it to me at 4:19 and I completed it and sent it back. When I emailed Adriana to let her know and to express further frustration about the fee going up especially after having to chase down her staff to send me the docusign and for the amount I was being charged I did not feel I was getting good service and I expressed that a tax preparer should be doing what they can to save their clients money (that is what keeps Clients coming back after all) and they I did not feel a more than 50% increase was worth it and reiterated that it should be disclosed up front, she accused me of being disrespectful and REFUSED to submit my taxes because she does not need a client like me. keep in mind here it is already 4/18 and she refused to submit them after she had already done the work and ON THE DEADLINE nonetheless. I cannot believe how unprofessional and shady this is. I was nothing but respectful to her, however as a paying and loyal customer I have the right to express my concerns, but to actually retaliate just because I am vocalizing my concerns and to refuse to submit my taxes on the deadline is just disgustingly unprofessional. This place needs to be investigated for shady business practices, retaliation and Withholding information from customers.

An amazing experience with my taxes! I got great customer service, and I got what was most convenient to me! Ive been going here ever since I turned 19, and so far my experience has been better than my friends! I highly recommend this place if you want to get the best outcome for your taxes. DO NOT DO YOUR TAXES HERE . My husband is still trying to get his 2019 taxes refund resolved. He Worked with Adrianna the most unprofessional person ever tries to be little you. Never in the office when I call. Or they have other clients to work on before my issue when I already paid them for their service. Once they have nothing to say they don't care to hear what you have to say they will talk over you and say they'll callback which is never . I Went sometime early 2020 to attempt to get this 2019 matter resolved she ignored me when I was talking to her, rolled her eyes I had to follow her to her office because she walked away as I was trying to resolve this matter had the audacity to ask if I was "stalking her " this is the face of the office. I just received my 2019 return and got less than half of what I was told I'd get and according to the IRS these are changes I requested . Who would request to get less than what you expect with no notice I called to see what form was signed that allows them to make changes without my permission & I'm now waiting to hear back from Natasha because Adriana is never in the office . It took my current tax person about 10mins to review and explain what this notice says . I will come back with an update . this company is fraud

Don't do ur taxes here we can't respond to replies on reviews but her response to my previews review was the quickest respond I've received from them. U can tell how childish they just by their response. these people are the most unprofessional people starting with adrianna that's why im getting my tax preparation fee returned by her ! her response when we asked for a refund was a laugh a please and then she asked " is that what it's going to take for you to stop calling" . Sorry you did half the job and I've been the one calling with no follow ups. No one ever called to get information and even with my permission to speak with my spouse they disrespected her. Even when we both went to the office together they disrespected her . Save your time and go else where better customer service childhish management .

Adrianna let's say the truth you're the one that started with the disrespect. If I'm there with my spouse in your office & or we're on the same phone call it's obvious you have permission to speak with her and it was clearly said that you had permission. When we first stepped in the office we were not being disrespectful until you got mad that I was correct and you began to role your eyes continuously and do a giggle (very professional) in front of another customer and all your staff members . Just like you did on Monday when we asked you for our refund because we had to pay someone else to do the rest of your work. The call backs we waited for over 2020-2021 were never received so sorry WE had to "bombard" your office w. Calls. We called the office on Monday and I had to speak with Natasha bc adrianna like always u were not available only until we mentioned the word lawsuit u were suddenly able to jump on the line. You guys hanging up on me when I'm still talking calls for another call back. It's obvious the 2 staff members we've dealt w. Natasha & Elizabeth were trained by you because everytime they had nothing else to say just like you adrianna I would get talked over .You're running a business and your Customer service should be a priority. Don't do half the job and expect your customers to not get upset when you're being rude

First time in a long time doing person to person taxes. My preparer, Toneth, is n amazing guy. Friendly and amicable towards his position. Great conversation. The staff at the locale was great too. Highly recommend doing your taxes here as a first timer and occurring customers! Shout out to Lola for being great!

Where do I begin?!Natasha assisted me with my taxes this year and I'm so grateful for her help! She's extremely thorough, explains everything in detail, and very professional! oh, and I was also able to get my registration done here! WHAT A RELIEF!! Everyone there is friendly and makes me feel welcome. This is my go to place from here and on out! THANK YOU SO MUCH BARRERA INCOME TAX!
