Words cannot express my amazing experience today. I walked by the Flair boutique today and saw an amazing coat in the window. I said to myself I can’t go in there dressed in sweats, due to it is such a classy boutique. So I kept walking. When I was driving home I couldn’t get the beautiful coat in the window off my mind. I then decided to call. I spoke with a lady named, Kate. She was so nice on the phone. She said come in and try it on. She was so nice on the phone. That I felt comfortable to go in. Even though I felt uncomfortable. I am so happy I went in. I bought three one of a kind blouses and two jackets. Words cannot express how amazing the quality of these items. You cannot find quality clothing like this, sadly anymore. Also, what impressed me the most was the customer service. Carolyn the owner and Kate who was helping me are so professional and nice. They did not make me feel uncomfortable by the way I was dressed. In addition, they were not overwhelmingly trying to sell me items like another store I have been to in Lincoln Center but attentive enough to make my feel welcome. Carolyn I see why you have had this classy gem since the 80’s. I remember around Christmas time several years ago when I got the pleasure to gift wrap the items customers bought from you. I was only 16 years old. I had a work permit. I am now able to afford to buy some items from you. Thank you both very much for making my shopping experience so amazing and not making me feel uncomfortable by what I was wearing. I will be back to shop here.

Ice Cold. That's the vibe in here. The star is for the vibe and not their products. As I was walking in, a woman walked in ahead of me with no care if anyone was walking in behind her. I think she even walked in with her nose in the air... because it was in the air when she turned around. I quickly thought... I hope their service does not match their customer's energy. The woman at the counter looked through me as if I was non-existent. No hello. No "can I help you". I don't even think I was in her peripheral vision. Whoo... I haven't felt that frozen out of somewhere in awhile. I was looking for a piece of jewelry that "spoke to me". This place was more of a clothes boutique anyhow . That's not the point...the point is that they have the most negative energy here that I have felt in awhile at Lincoln Center.

I have been shopping at the Flair for over 40 years, more so in the last few years due to my son getting married. Starr and Caroline went out of their way to make great suggestions and ordered beautiful dresses for me. My husband who is not a shopper now goes in for birthdays and Christmas gifts and they always pick out beautiful items that they know I will love. For great personalize service stop in and check out all the beautiful clothes.

This place will treat you based on how much you spend! I was looking at their sale items and found a pajama that was discounted. I waited in line to pay while they were showering the person in front of me with the sweetest comments and pleasantries. Her bought items were placed in a nice hard paper bag with Flair written on it. Very elegant. When I finished paying for mine I get a plain generic PLASTIC BLACK BAG. Like a blank garbage bag!! I commented in a joking matter : So

I commented in a joking matter : So your type of bag is based on how much you spend? The lady very simply says: Yes!! REALLY nice way to welcome new customers! You probably don't want my business thinking I won't be spending much there but you know what? I won't be giving it to you either! Way to treat your customers!! Just a side note. I'm a pharmacist of over 25 years. I worked with the public for years and I withstood complaints and attacks that bordered on abuse but I was always taught that customer service the key to everything. Compare that to the type of service I received. Sure they weren't insulting in their words but I sure felt insulted by their behavior. I could only imagine how they might treat someone who looks poor. It's a shame that we are valued by our financial worth. You spend a buck you're worth a buck (much less in this case, I'm sure that garbage bag I got is worth less than a buck!!).
