The worst experience of my life at the pharmacy. I have been a customer at Safeway for at least 20 years. Either Manteca or pacific ave. It took one time of me having a terrible disrespectful talk with the new pharmacist. Dont know his name but he has been there for maybe two yearsHe is from another country, but that does not matter, I just wished I knew his name. First visit, due to medication I have been taken for over 15 years he felt he need to know why I am taking it, where is the pain, how bad is the pain...bla bla bla. Then he violated the HIPAA law speaking very loudly for others to hear the name he was calling me. He should be reprimanded for his actions. How he got to be a pharmacist I will never know. Never have him discuss your illness with him. He is a phoney, a rude jerk that Safeway needs to dismiss him. If I have to pick up meds there I make sure he does not talk with me. Safeway, please correct this situation cause more bad reviews will be written about this jerk and you don't want this to occur.

I had made a Wednesday 10 am appointment for my husband and myself. I check in at the pharmacy and was told there were already 5 other people were waiting for the 10 am in a small room. As we were going into the room we over heard another couple was also checking in for 10 am. That means including us there were 9 people at the 10 am appointment waiting for the flu vaccine. After 5 minutes we decided that being in so close proximity to others needlessly exposed us to illness. We asked the personnel to cancel our appointment and left.We generally have a good experience with Safeway. Hopefully they will rectify this situation in the future.

Who is this new pharmacist working at safeway on Pacific ave? Don't know his name but he has an English accent.He is the most unprofessional, rude, judgemental, Hippa violator that i ever had to deal with. He questioned why my my Dr. Prescribed pain medication for me, not knowing I am a documented disabled elderly woman who had fallen and fractured several ribs including my pelvic bone. He did not care to ask, just started raising his voice for everyone to hear. Talk about violating laws. He also did not fill my pres. And kept it. My doctor had to send another pres. To a pharmacy to get the medication filled. I don't know ur name, but you know who you are. More to come

Personnel always helpful...lot of new faces but all capable...have gotten my meds filled for years and vaccinations annually.

Where to begin??! The staff is incompetent and rude! Every time I have come here, there is a line of patients waiting to pick up their prescriptions while technicians are on their cell phones standing around! Not to mention, when they are helping someone they are unprofessional and have the rudest responses if you ask for a consultation. One of the elderly woman technicians refused to use my goodrx coupon on my prescription because she claimed they do not accept it. This is a lie because I have picked up the same prescription here before using that SAME goodrx coupon. If you do not feel like doing a job, please find another one NOT in healthcare or customer service as opposed to lying. An asian pharmacist, I believe he may have been Japanese or Chinese, kept staring at me and my chest, I never felt so disgusted and sexually profiled, he was a perv! He was also the one to do my consultation and kept trying to touch my hand!! What kind of people has Safeway hired?!!!

Been using Safeway Pharmacy for all my Pharmacy Needs and Flu Shots etc. Safeway Pharmacy on Pacific has served me well with little to no drama with 2 or 3 small exceptions on stocking of certain meds Safeway is well aware I need. I only have one big complaint with this store but mostly new 2021 Narcotic Prescription Laws. I went in Jan 21 with my usual prescription. I guess myself and my Dr were out of the loop. New tablets were required by law but according to the research I found, it is not a zero exception law / rule rather pharmacist judgment. I was forced into a sudden opioid detoxification process that wasn't life threatening but sure was a very uncomfortable 3 weeks. Great news is I survived it. Now my Dr & I recognize that I didn't need such a strong dose of pain meds in hindsight anyway. Outside the stock issues and the one time I was turned away. Great knowledgeable Service. Wait times long but quality Service with few exceptions

Horrible so lately..get texts saying meds are ready and they arent..they dont go over new prescription..wait time is ridiculous..they tell u they have stuff ready and then they tell u its not in stock or they will have it in a week..might be time for a new pharmacy
