Horrible. I had to reschedule several times. They called me 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel on me because they said the part didn’t come in. They had a week to prepare for the service, I would have scheduled sooner but seeing as they were booked up I had to wait, and they told me they get the part the day of the service. I have a Honda Civic. How uncommon of a vehicle is that. The next mobile service quote I got was an 8 hour window on a day that I never even picked. 8 hours? That ridiculous. I would give them 0 stars if could.

I'm pretty sure they may do good work...but the amount of money I was being quoted and the time it would of taken to get my windows tinted, wasn't worth the trip or chance. Went to Reyes and had it done cheaper and within an hour.

My truck was scheduled to be repaired by Safelite Stockton at 8a. Got there on time but shop was already behind schedule. After 10a, my truck was FINALLY in the shop bay. After removal of the windshield, Safelite techs found some rust and refused to finish installation. I spoke to the manager and pleaded that they finish install as it was a Sat and that I would need to file another auto body repair claim with Geico to get the rust issue fixed which would take some time to resolve but the windshield needed to be replaced asap as I lived more than 30mins away. Still the manager refused as per their company policy. So they just returned the old windshield which had even more cracks than before and just taped it with yellow tape. He would rather leave me with a cracked up windshield ONLY TAPED to my truck instead of continue with the install, which could have easily ended up with me and others being in an accident. But did he care...NOT AT ALL. Manager did refer me to A1 AUTO GLASS who was more than willing to squeeze me in their hectic Saturday schedule. I give the manager at least this. He referred me to THE ABSOLUTE BEST BUSINESS MAN WITH THE ABSOLUTE BEST BUSINESS ETHICS EVER!!! FRED the owner of A1 AUTO GLASS was absolutely AWESOME!!! He honestly cared about my safety more than company policies. He even shared experiences with previous Safelite customers who were also rejected service just like me...but not only did they replace the windshields but they also gave rentals to those who needed it...out of his own pocket. Multimillion dollar companies like Safelite care more about their company than they do their customers...but it is their CUSTOMERS that made them their millions. So go to the smaller companies, like A1 AUTO GLASS, where the owners like FRED, in all honesty care about THE CUSTOMER...and their HAPPINESS AND SAFETY!!! I will be going to A1 AUTO GLASS from now on and will be referring everyone to them. I hope you all do!!! Avoid and boycott these multimillion dollar companies that do not care about the safety of their customers. I am still in disbelief that they would just leave me hanging with an even more cracked windshield with just tape...TAPE for goodness sakes...and not even duct tape...holding the windshield to my truck. MY GOD!!!! What legitimate business would even dare think about doing anything like this!!!!! Its like a mechanic using office staples instead of bolts to install an engine part...or a tire shop using rubber bands to instead of lug nuts to hold the tires in place!!! I mean...SERIOUSLY!!! TOTAL SHAME ON THIS COMPANY!!!! They should get shutdown! Maybe if I didnt find Fred or couldnt find another place to do the job...as it was a Sat afternoon and during this Covid epidemic shutdown...I probably would have been forced to drive with this windshield...and maybe...if I got into an accident and someone died...then and ONLY THEN would Safelite done something about it. Legally, they could have finished the job and waived all responsibilities n liabilites to the work with the customers acknowledgement...this would still have been better than freaking TAPE!!! But of corse, it only took a simple guy like me to think about these things. The multimillion dollar company executives and vast legal teams could not...go figure...boycott Safelit and go to A1 AUTO GLASS on Harding Way in Stockton. FRED, a true business owner, will take care of you!!!
