I love this place. Yes, the paper is expensive. But the shop employees are so nice and the wrapping paper/bags/ribbons are delightful.

Not that many options for folks who like to journal - like stickers, washi tape, notebook inserts for leather journals etc. you’re better off going to DTLA stationary stores

Nice place… great selection of cards, stationary, gift wrapping etc. Lady working that day was very sweet! I’ll be back in the future

Super helpful staff to get exactly what I needed. In a great location to buy gifts with stores nearby like m fedric Barnes noble urban outfitters etc. plenty of party both on street and a nearby lot.

Very disappointed to say the least. It is overwhelming to shop here when you are being followed around by an older lady with glasses and told “omg, that looks so heavy, must be exhausting, let me take it to the counter.” Definitely felt profiled and ruined my shopping experience. She followed me all around the store as if I was going to steal. It looks like I’m not the only one who’s been through this. It’s 2025, stop profiling people.
Yet, I still bought $200 worth of stuff from them. I do want to thank the younger girl who was working and taking over and asking me if I was okay. Please give this girl a raise, she was so kind!

I usually love going into Paper Source, love the selection of journals and all the cute little stuff they tend to have. However I didn’t really enjoy my last experience here. I felt that I was being followed around the store by one of the employees. Constantly kept coming up to me and my mom to ask if we needed help. After 2nd or 3rd time, you’d think they’d get the hint that I just want to browse in peace and no, I’m not stealing anything. Very uncomfortable. Then they asked to hold our stuff at the counter, then offered a basket.. My mom was actually pretty upset at this. I didn’t see anyone else getting this treatment which kind of makes me think perhaps it is a racism thing? Idk. Some of the other employees were very nice to us but the one that kept following us around - You need to leave the customers alone when they tell you they DON’t need your help. Going by other recent reviews, guess I’m not the only one who has had this same experience.

I was pretty underwhelmed by this place. Maybe I'm missing something, but the greeting cards they have are basically the same as what you'd get in a Hallmark store or a CVS pharmacy. The major difference is the price. Some of these very average cards cost upwards of $12 each! Nothing average about that. They have some nice coarse handmade looking paper, like Japanese washi. There was no price on that, I shudder to think how much it is. Rolls of average wrapping paper, sold at very above average prices. It has a very boutique-y, 'rich housewife carelessly spending her husband's money' kind of vibe to it. I was there the day before Christmas, so maybe their inventory was depleted and that's why it was lackluster. End the day though, not really my cup of tea. I arrived there as a result of a Google search, looking for high-end, interesting greeting cards. Didn't find any. Wouldn't have minded spending $12 on a card, if it was handmade by a local artist and really smart and interesting.

I go to paper source a lot and to be treated so rude by a staff member is ridiculous I get there’s a lot of foot traffic around the holidays but that’s no excuse to be rude all I wanted was a gift wrapped and they were too busy to make time to wrap a gift for someone that’s disabled

Went on Nov 23. Multiple employees followed my sis and I around the store as we were browsing. When it was time to purchase no one was to be found. I waited a few minutes and another customer walked up to the cash register. A clerk came immediately to ring her up. She told the employee that we were there first and the employee continued to help the other woman. It was clear that they did not want our business. We walked out.

One of the staff members who works on a Sunday is clearly racist. She not only single out my mother and I in the store by offering to hold onto the item I planned on purchasing, but after I said “no thank you,” she followed us a bit around before heading back to the cashier desk. She did not do this any of the white customers in the store. Based on her actions, she thought we were there to steal. I have never experienced this kind of service from this store until now, and I will not be returning to buy anything from this location. I highly suggest that no person of color shop at this Paper Source location.

One of the best Paper Source locations. Very spacious, large selection of stationery, and helpful staff. I enjoyed their paper bar where I got to see and touch different envelopes and cards.
This store is an excellent location to find a unique gift for everyone in your family. Also, I loved the store layout and the way they created little theme “islands” of mindfulness, Halloween, and Fall. Where you can choose a trinket, home decor, or a journal based on of the themes.

My wife wanted to visit this store while we were about to go walk to her face cleaning appointment. We parked across the street at a plaza with a bunch of stores and when my wife saw their windows display she wanted to walk in. This store is a decent size in the corner and have a lot of products to offer. My wife was mostly looking for a graduation card for her friend which she found here. The price is a little higher than other places but it's because it's a small store. They have other stuff as well besides just cards like some puzzle, games, books and etc.

Beware!!! Do not use them for your save the date or wedding invitations. Here was my experience based on trying to order 30 save the date invites for my wedding:
-I had to keep following up regarding status. I received excuses.
-The local store told me to contact customer service. Isn't this a service they need to provide if they realize they are not delivering?
-COVID hit, and they confirmed they would send everything to me. They sent it to the store and told me it was my issue to solve. This took multiple emails to customer service to resolve.
-The proofs came back twice with errors. They made the same ones more than once.
-I reached out to customer service at the end of this process multiple times and no one got back to me.
-I constantly received excuses and it felt like it was my problem to deal with. Where is the ease and customer service in that?
-I was told for my trouble I would received a custom mail stamp with our return address. Do you think I ever received that?
-It took almost 2 months from the order I placed prior to COVID to arrive.
-No apologies from Corporate.
-My local contact initially tried to assist but after having to follow-up with her on status, I felt very much on my own. For me to have to keep asking for status updates, for telling me I need to contact headquarters because she is getting nowhere and for the stream of excuses, it was and remains to be unprofessional.
