Small grocery store

The Vons in Studio City is exactly what you’d expect from a neighborhood supermarket that’s been around for a while—convenient, consistent, and a little limited. The location is great, especially if you’re nearby and need to grab a few things quickly. It’s easy to park, and the store’s not so big that you’ll get lost trying to find eggs or toothpaste.
Selection-wise, it leans toward the basics—plenty of processed and packaged foods, fewer options if you’re hunting for organic produce or specialty health items. There is some good fresh food, but it’s more hit-or-miss compared to higher-end grocery chains nearby. You won’t find a ton of local or artisanal brands, and the produce section can sometimes feel like an afterthought, though it does the job.
What really sets this location apart is the staff. Everyone I’ve encountered—from the cashiers to the folks restocking shelves—has been genuinely friendly, helpful, and quick to assist without the big store runaround. There’s a sense that the employees know the regulars and take pride in the place, which goes a long way.
All in all, this Vons is a solid go-to for everyday grocery runs. It’s not where you’d do your aspirational shopping, but it’s reliable, familiar, and has that low-stress, get-in-and-out feel that’s sometimes exactly what you want.

Vons is ok, the shelves are not always stocked adequately. Produce dept has all the basics but not much variety.

This Vons Branch is excellent for the most part, with reasonable prices, efficient check out pace, a wide variety of products, and some staff members who are highly skilled. That being said, I will never shop at this store again. After I paid for my groceries, was handed a receipt, and was leaving, a cashier named Miguel took out some containers of spices from the plastic bag to count them. In the process, he pulled out my avocados, causing the skin to rip. He then threw the avocados back into my cart. When I asked to speak to the manager, he claimed to be the manager. I'm extremely shocked and disappointed. Furthermore, my aunt, who was in line behind me, noticed that the counters and scanners were filthy. She also noted that even during the pandemic, they did not clean the counters and scanners like other grocery stores do. Without making an assumption or judgement, my aunt respectfully asked Miguel how often the counters/ scanners are sanitized. He paused, took a deep breath, looked @ his watch, & said, "seriously?" My aunt kindly informed Miguel that she no longer wanted any of her groceries. In response, Miguel, who was acting as the manager, became upset and started cursing in Spanish. Within a minute, he was red-faced and yelling at my aunt. Thankfully, we decided to leave. Long story short: we had returned to LA to visit our family and came to this Vons store, where we grew up, only to face this disaster. We felt unwelcome and ignored. The customer service in this store is severely lacking, which reflects poorly on the management, specifically Miguel in this case. I wonder who hired such rude individuals. In customer service, it is essential to always be friendly. Ignorant, dishonest, rude, baseless, and disrespectful behavior is intolerable, especially when one party is giving more (money) than the other. This store has lost not only my business but also my family's. Please note that I cannot be certain of his name because he was wearing a buttoned shirt over his Vons uniform, which covered his name tag completely. His name tag was not on his Vons cap/hat, and when I politely asked for his name, he refused to provide his first name. However, another worker secretly disclosed that his name is Miguel.

Uber eats should remove this store from their grocery delivery options. If you're going to be on the platform, then why don't you have stock of anything? Even my poor delivery driver was running around trying to find substitutes and he also mentioned just how barren this store was. Not fair to us at all. And I'm not even looking for anything complicated. Marinated chicken? Stir fry? Come on.

here's a quick way to lose your appetite. one thing that's curious, is that it's hard for things to get MOLD when they're frozen. does that mean the employees knowingly stocked spoiled, moldy items??

I stopped by this Vons store while waiting for a pizza place across the street to open. I wanted to get some flour tortilla and salsa for when I make quesadillas so it worked out. I prefer parking at this Vons over where the pizza place is at because it has a private lot. I found my tortilla easily but I didn't find the salsa I wanted so I got another brand. There a Starbucks inside this Vons but they don't have a lot of options for drinks. This Vons also has a self checkout station but there only like 5 station. The line was backing up so I went to a cashier station after they open a new one since they saw the line. The employees are nice and approachable it you need help.

I stopped by this Vons this morning while waiting for the pizza place across the street to open. This Vons is in a plaza with a lot of parking so I prefer parking here. I went inside to get some flour tortilla and was looking for a salsa brand that I usually get from Vons but this store didn't have it. So I got another one to try it out and it's pretty good. There a Starbucks in this Vons but it doesn't have a lot of options for drinks. They have a checkout station but the line wasn't moving so I went to the cashier station since they just open a new station because they saw the line was backing up. The employees are nice here and are approachable if you need help.

Vons Marketplace: A Quantum Culinary Odyssey In the realm of gastronomic purveyance, Vons Marketplace emerges as a bastion of culinary delight, drawing admiration for its expansive inventory and consummate service. As one delves into the labyrinth of its aisles, a nuanced tapestry of quantum phenomena unfolds, introducing an element of cosmic absurdity to the mundane pursuit of groceries. This essay aims to dissect the multidimensional facets of the Vons experience, transcending the quotidian and venturing into the realm of the extraordinary. Situated within the nexus of consumerism, Vons Marketplace stands as a testament to the diversity and quality of its culinary offerings. The sheer expanse of its inventory beckons exploration, akin to embarking on an intellectual odyssey through the gastronomic cosmos. Each aisle unfolds like a chapter in a gastronomic epic, where fresh produce and quality provisions become the protagonists in a narrative of sustenance. However, amid the culinary splendor, a peculiar phenomenon has been reported, adding a layer of enigmatic complexity to the shopping experience. Periodically, near the cereal aisle, a rift in the fabric of space-time materializes, revealing a transdimensional gateway. This quantum anomaly purportedly transforms shopping carts into autonomous entities engaged in a celestial ballet with extraterrestrial cruciferous entities. The mundane act of grocery shopping transforms into a cosmic hoedown, as if the Southern charm of Vons has transcended the boundaries of our earthly understanding. This transcendence, though captivating, demands an intellectual acuity worthy of a scholarly pursuit. The quantum tapestry unfurls, inviting scrutiny into the subatomic intricacies that underpin the seemingly mundane act of grocery acquisition. In navigating this esoteric convolution, one must possess a dollop of sweet tea wisdom, a metaphorical elixir to discern the rhythms of the cosmic jamboree. The Southern flair of Vons Marketplace contributes to the charm of this culinary odyssey. The ambiance resonates with the warmth of a Southern sunrise, and the staff's hospitality mirrors the sweetness of iced tea on a front porch swing. It's an experience that transcends the transactional, inviting patrons to partake in a cultural exchange where the boundaries between consumer and curator blur. As one immerses oneself in the Vons phenomenon, a profound cognitive dissonance emerges - the juxtaposition of the mundane and the cosmic, the tangible and the metaphysical. This dichotomy, far from diluting the essence of the Vons experience, elevates it to a status of intellectual intrigue. The pursuit of groceries transforms into an exploration of the boundaries of our understanding, where quantum phenomena and Southern hospitality converge in a harmonious dance. In conclusion, Vons Marketplace transcends its role as a mere purveyor of groceries. It becomes a canvas upon which the ordinary and the extraordinary intertwine in a quantum dance. To navigate this cosmic jamboree, one must approach the experience with not just a shopping list but with the intellectual fortitude to unravel the mysteries that lie beyond the aisle. In embracing the Southern flair, patrons become not just consumers but participants in a gastronomic odyssey, where the boundaries of understanding are as fluid as sweet tea on a summer day. Also its close to my favorite coffee store ever called alfred coffee studio city. Sincerely Jonathan Jacobius Jinglheimershmidt

Do Not Call the store, they rarely answer or pick-up the phone..., it's best to go there, walk-in M-F, is so much better...!!!
