I went in for help for how to proceed with assisting my recently disabled mother who has an account there in paying her rent, which needed a certified check. Instead of help, they told me to have my mother write me a check which I could cash there to get the money (cause that doesn't sound sketchy). Because that wasn't enough, they blocked her atm cards so we could not use it. She was not notified of their actions! I convinced my mom to go to the bank the next day, and they lied about blocking the card. Then they refused to help. She saw one of the bankers leave the front room and we had her caregiver roll her to him. It took hours for him to help her with getting her card back, getting the certified checks, and to learn how to have me added to the account. When he finally had her go back to the tellers, they did not use the lowered teller for people in wheelchairs. No, she was forced to use the normal high teller window. This is how much respect and decency you will find here. When we were leaving the banker would not say my name correctly and then became unhinged when I told him about the poor customer service and that we would be changing banks. He said good luck with that because all banks are the same they will all treat us as badly as they did.

Today, I stopped by my branch in Sunnyvale, California, Citibank for wire instructions. The bank employee in a side office, who had no customers, gave me the wrong routing number and rushed me out of her cubicle. She also hurried the conversation. Since I lacked confidence in this employee, I approached the branch manager, who had no customers. He also rushed the discussion but provided the correct routing number. However, these exchanges made me feel unvalued and frustrated, as what I needed could have been solved quickly and kindly if they had been professional and guided me correctly. My frustrations lie in that a regular client walked into a branch, two bank employees in a row hurried him, and one provided incorrect information before another finally resolved the simple request, although rudely. This was a pathetic performance in customer service, and I think it'd be in the bank's best interest to resolve these issues accordingly. I've been going to this branch for almost 20 years, and these interactions have me questioning whether I should take my business elsewhere.Thankfully, the tellers are outstanding.

I had an incredible experience with the Citibank team on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA. First, I am not a Citibank customer besides having a Costco Citibank Visa. I went to the ECR Sunnyvale branch attempting to get a cash advance using my Costco Citibank Visa. James Havard was the person helping me and he was so nice, professional, and truly wanted to make sure I was happy with his service. Because of the way Costco dictates the cash balance on the cards, I was unable to use that card. Martine, another banker there, reminded me that I can get a cash advance at any bank no matter which card I was using. These gentlemen really know what customer service is about and were genuinely happy to go the extra mile to ensure my business was completed to my satisfaction. Thank you, James and Martine, I really appreciate the kindness shown to me. All the best, Dee Dee P.s. I am a POC and did not in any way suspect the team treated me unfairly. Not to discount Rea A's review; just a different experience had by me.

Don't give them your business if you are a POC and a low net worth individual. Really bad experience with them.

Opened an account. People are friendly and accommodating. Hope I have this account for awhile to see how this bank behaves.

Really bad bank with bad management and poor customer service. I'll be taking my accounts elsewhere. Warning for those who expect basic things like service. Terrible

For some strange reasons, I was locked out by Citibank online. They told me the only way to prove I was me is to go to a local branch. It was the day before Thanksgiving, the bank would be closed the next day. Worrying my accounts could be or had been compromised, I rushed over to the branch at 395 W. El Camino totally frazzled. From my experience dealing with other branches and banks, there was the distinct possibility that I might be sent away since I didn't have an appointment and it was less than 30 minutes before closing. Lucky for me, Jessica F, one of the three tellers on duty, calmly and pleasantly listened to my predicament and started immediately to help me after verifying my identify. At that time, another customer walked in and needed Jessica's help. Without being asked, Mahesh N, a 2nd teller, offered to take over my case so that Jessica could attend to that other customer. Working as a team, they expeditiously solved my problem and I'm sure the other customer's as well. 5 stars and two thumbs up to Jessica and Mahesh!

Every time I visit this branch it's a huge disappointment. Three tellers none of them can help with anything other than deposits and withdrawals. They think it's funny that they can't access the programs needed to process other transactions. They don't care about customers time at all, i went in the morning today, I was told that only one of them can help with foreign exchange but she's not there. I went again after 12 as requested, I stood there for twenty minutes waiting for her to access the system but she failed while another teller had the audacity to tell me you can go to an exchange place in Palo Alto. That's the service Gold members get wonder what kind of service others are getting!!!! This branch should close

I went to this branch next to the complex do I signed a leasing contract. I was pass with the manager and When I told him that my intention was to open a check and savings account . He asked for my ID and I proceed to show him my USA Passport, social security card and also my drivers license from Texas. For my surprise, He said to me that he can't open a new account because I need a proof of a utility bills. I have to admit that was the worst excuse someone can gave me. I went there for service and I ended feeling discriminated. His attitude was bad and was obvious he didn't want to help me. I just cross the street and went to Chase bank, I was able to open my new account. The service was superb !!!!!!' For that person in Citibank thank you for show me that no matter how bad was my experience with you always we have opportunities to find good people with real values .

The entire bank is empty and they tell me it will take 40mins to help me with a simple transaction because a banker has to help me. Meanwhile 4 employees are standing around twiddling their thumbs doing nothing.
