I went to Dr. Jason Wong's office ofoptometry on 01/07/2024 in the Costco atSunnyvale, 150 Lawrence Station Rd,Sunnyvale, CA 94086. I made an appointmentto have a vision test for contact lenses, and Ialso added the dilation service later when Icame to his office at 2:30pm. When doing thedilation, Dr. Jason Wong put some eye dropsinto both my eyes which were extremelyirritating and made me tear so much. He toldme to roll my eye balls to the direction heinstructed after he put the eye drops, butbecause my eyes were hurt so much, Istopped for a while and didn't move my eyeballs because I couldn't as at that time I wasstill tearing. However, Dr. Jason Wong wasextremely rude in this process, and he toldme to continue to move my eye balls anddon't stop WITHOUT even asking my well-being, as he said it was normal for my eyesto feel irritated in this process. Basically hegave me an impression that he just wanted torush through the process because he had somany other patients waiting outsidd theoffice, and even though my eyes stoppedfeeling irritated after one day, I was stilldisappointed by Dr. Jason Wong'sunprofessional and uncaring attitude duringthe whole visit, as eyes are very sensitiveparts of human body and every doctorshould be extra careful when checkingpatients' eyes because every small problemcan cause BIG TROUBLE. After I went backhome, I also searched this optometrist onlineand found out that Dr. Jason Wong had alsotreat other patients by similar ways:https://goo.gl/maps/SPN8mWbhVRY7Mwk67

Although the prices are cheap, the wait time makes this extremely frustrating. I was here to pick up a pair of glasses that were ordered beforehand, and I had to wait for over an hour before I was served. I even asked if I could just grab the frames and go, but the lady working at the counter rudely dismissed me. There’s no reason why picking up should take more time than getting an eye exam. Save your time and go literally anywhere else.

Excellent care for over 12 years. I travel to this location since I moved over 2 hours away.

The doctor explains well but their glasses section has some very rude people who are not at all friendly and unapproachable. I don’t recommend to go there for glasses at all.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VISION CENTER!!! Worst trained employees, 30 min wait on average to get served, save your time and a headache and go to another Costco vision center

This place is very bad. I was helped by this associate and he has absolutely no interest in serving customers. I suspect that the charges were incorrect and went back to just asked that the charges be reviewed, which I don't think it is anything too much to ask, but was refused. The reason he cited is that he has no way to pull my record once it is submitted to VSP.....what kind of story is that?

Dr Jason Wong is great. I trust him as a physician myself and I’m in and out in no time. Highly recommend him.

Jason Wong's exam was abrasive, rough, and insensitive. We felt harassed and I was so upset by the end of the exam tears came out because I was so angry that my mother in law had to experience his beratement at age 77. It was supposed to be a nice bonding time since I was visiting from out of town. Instead I left without a written prescription and she couldn't get her sunglasses replaced. This "doctor" is jaded and his arrogance inhibits him from being qualified to help anyone. He can't even spend 20 seconds listening to the customer. We were interrupted with assumptions and then felt pushed out the door even though the new prescription was more blurry. His statements also felt pushy and contradictory and he didn't bother to explain anything thoroughly.I read other reviews after and several others had the same unprofessional experience of him talking down to them, cutting them off, and rushing them out with a prescription that was either too strong or posed problems later because it wasn't what they needed. His tone from the get go was off putting. He was just downright mean and rude with his exam technique. Hum hawing and sighing in frustration for no reason as if we were a nuisance or did something wrong. It also felt like he was treating us badly because of her age and the language barrier. We felt bullied. He started by saying her prescription changed dramatically in the last two years and that something must have happened which worried her for no reason. He questioned the paperwork she brought in for her current prescription and pressured us to use his even before we started the exam.I was translating for my mom and I could see that she felt intimidated to answer honestly because he was dismissing her concerns instead of properly explaining anything. He didn't give enough time for her to see the letters before he flipped to the next one and rushed her to answer. In a condescending tone, he had the audacity to say she wasn't trying hard enough a few times even though the letters were so small and blurry she couldn't make them out. He made her feel really bad and stressed out with his tone and approach. He didn't ask but told us what version looks better even though she said it was more blurry than her current prescription. It had to be his way. And then he questioned her cataracts surgery and made it sound like there was something wrong with the way it was done without explaining anything. Then he pushed us out the door.It validated that the exam was a waste of time and that his qualifications were questionable. I had enough. We didn't feel comfortable with the prescription and I was not going to pay for being harassed. I told him that this was a very rough experience for us and that he shouldn't treat anyone this way. I felt bad she had to experience this. Seeing that I was upset he said that "we can pretend this exam never happened" which was a cowardly way to back out of the exam and pretend he didn't just treat us poorly. He showed us the numbers and said the difference was negligible from her current prescription, which contradicted the big scare he gave at the beginning. What baloney.I wish the exam never happened. I am LIVID. We felt so violated and uncomfortable. Afterward my mother shared with me that he scared her and talked to us like we were stupid, and that she thought there was something really wrong with her eyes. It makes me so angry that she had to experience that behavior especially after having gone through so much in her lifetime. She had such a horrible headache when she got home and her eyes hurt because she had strained them so badly trying to see the letters even though he was scoffing that she wasn't trying her best.Don't waste your time or energy.Costco should do better. This is a huge disservice to customers who simply need a competent optometrist who is kind and doesn't berate customers because of his own personal issues.

He started by saying her prescription changed dramatically in the last two years and that something must have happened which worried her for no reason. He questioned the paperwork she brought in for her current prescription and pressured us to use his even before we started the exam. Red flag. From the moment we sat down I wanted to leave, but tried to endure the session to get my mother the prescription, see where he was going, and he was the only optometrist there. He didn't want to hear what we had to say. He forced us to pick a very specific function for glasses without giving us time to answer. He was offended when I answered his question as to why we were there. I explained that my mother in law wanted bifocals but for her sunglasses, and he rolled his eyes saying that he knows what bifocals are like a whiny child on the verge of a tantrum. It is clear he has some insecurity issues to work through. I was translating for my mom and I could see that she felt intimidated to answer honestly because he was dismissing her concerns instead of properly explaining anything. He didn't give enough time for her to see the letters before he flipped to the next one and rushed her to answer. Fixed my glasses in a jiffy. Franklin and another lady with a four letter name (forgetting it now) were very courteous and helpful.

A disappointment to Costco, employees absolutely uninterested in helping anyone and moving with no urgency.

I wish I could give this location a better review but today is the last time I set foot in this location of Costco I will stick to the one on Rengstorff Mountain View. this review is for the bad customer service. Really really really rude employees. It's one thing getting death glares from customers while walking around inside the store but when I went to pay the stupid Asian employee was rude when I went to the self check out line because I only had a few items the first employee was like but the lady was rude as hell. then went to the food court this employee female in the middle check line was rudely talking to customers screaming at them wtf. I get you are tired work long hours have to work in retail. but come one Costco do better. This Sunnyvale location sucks

Confusing location. Feels like its not organised as most of other Costco stores. Departments located in different corners. Parking is pretty tiny for such a large wholesale.

5 stars? Why? They have the best price for gas! Is there any other reason?
