I would like to update my review. Upon immersing ourselves in the preschool program, I do have to say that things have changed. Directors are more receptive to the concerns of the parents and students. They have amended some of their ways of doing things, and I am thankful for their sensitivity and adjustments. I do have to say that they accept and embrace all children including all backgrounds and nationalities, celebrating all holidays. I would like to wholeheartedly recommend this preschool. The community of parents is stellar (topnotch!) There are always gripes, but when given a chance to redeem, I give this school 5 stars. Yay to the teachers as well. :) Thank you!

We had our two boys going to Creative Explorer and we definitely recommend the place. Both our kids started at 2 years old, and our older one went through the entire 3 years over there before to now be in kindergarten. Our second one stayed for a bit more of a year before we moved him with his brother (conveniency). They have 3 grades, the "little" usually 2 to 3 years old, the "middle" and the "bigs" and each class have different teachers. The place always felt safe, clean and with happy kids playing around. It was walking distance for us and it was so nice to just walk your kids there, and we were not the only ones doing so.Our older one had some small issues on the first year (normal kid thing) but we were able to help him and overcome this with the support of the teachers there. Always work it out with the teachers, they see your kids as much as you do, and they have seen much more kids than you.Creative Explorer really saved us through COVID as well. While many daycares just continuously pushed to re-open - while still charging parents and promising them of soon re-opening - and even ended closing, Creative Explorer was back on as soon as County allowed with all the precautions of the time in place. Our kids have made great friends there, kids have their best friends but in the end they tend to be all friends with each other thanks to teachers inclusive education. The community is stellar - give it a bit of time and effort of course - and there are multiple events over the year and we are still meeting with parents we met there, it became our main social link.We are thankful to have had Creative Explorer and its team of educators for taking care of our precious little one. Thanks again and wish the best for this great daycare.

I toured the daycare and decided to not enroll my child in it. I am giving 3 stars because I was left with an impression that they care more about sticking to the schedule by the minute than the child. What really put me off was that - "since your kid is 2 years old, he is expected to eat solely on his own. We will put the food in front on him at lunch time and not provide any assistance under any circumstances. If he eats in 30 min it's fine, otherwise he will stay hungry, no exceptions."I understand it's not scalable if kids don't eat by their own but at the same time, some times some kids may require some assistance and encouragement in the beginning before adapting to the school schedule. My kid actually does eat well on his own, but since he turned two just last week, he sometimes requires assistance, especially when food requires eating by spoon. Besides, having such a strict and rigid mindset is pretty concerning in childcare and I wouldn't want to leave my child at a place with no flexibility. They exhibited the same rigidity about things other than food, such as potty training and outdoor play time.

My two little ones had great fun at Creative Explorer. Teachers are caring, loving and super energetic. The classroom which has a Montessori set up is well organized and super clean. It's definitely a hidden gem as I found on google map. Especially during Covid, it can be really difficult to explain PPE, social distancing, and the whole situation in an age appropriate way. The teachers had done a fantastic job of educating, re-enforcing and even gamifying a stressful life experience like this. Annie, the director, always organizes some out school event during special occasions before the Covid. My little one enjoyed the parrot trainer and the magician shows. Not to mention the Easter egg hunt, Halloween, Mother's day group singing , father's day event, ice cream truck, and special parking lot graduation ceremony. After flipping through the big portfolio documented for all these years, I feel really touched that the teachers knew my daughters so much more than I did.I am so grateful to find this daycare and I hope our daycare with get stronger and better after Covid. I would strongly suggest book a tour on their website and you won't be regretted. It's undoubted the best preschool in Sunnyvale in every way!
