Why my cats no longer like their wet cat food. Have shopped this store for 5 decades. Pet Club has a wider selection of Friskies and Fancy Feast canned cat food,, but a maximum 30 day return with receipt. Petco has a maximum 60 day return without receipt as long as you are a member. I've shopped here so long that my membership phone number is my land line. When was the last time you had a land line phone number? January 2019 Petco becomes the first and only pet store to remove all pet food with a list of 40+ artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives from their shelves, including Friskies and Fancy Feast. October 2022 I adopt two white cats Storm and Sky. Introduce them to Friskies and Fancy Feast, and they can't stop eating it, eat it like it is their last meal. My last cat Stan lived to be 20 eating Friskies and Fancy Feast. August 2023, cats stop eating their canned cat food. August 2023, Petco restocks their shelves with Friskies and Fancy Feast, all with new labels saying no artificial ingredients. Purina, makers of Friskies and Fancy feast changed their formula for canned cat food in order to make their food presentable to Petco. Meanwhile I've tried at least two dozen different types of canned cat food from Petco , and my cats turn their noses up to all of them. There are internet forums about cats no longer eating Friskies and Fancy Feast canned cat food. Now you know why. Have a friend who used to feed his cats Royal Canine canned cat food, until Petco removed if from the shelves. They have them in stock now, but he's in for a surprise when he feeds his cats. Now imagine if your supermarket removed all foods with artificial ingredients.

By far the worst experience I had this man yelled at my godson after asking for a fish and waiting till the line went down for a fish said no fish for the night with all do respect it's not out fault you were short staff and waited over 40 min for some assistance then Tried to tell me as a mother should have asked not him. When I was just trying to give him the experience. He was so excited. All he wanted was a fish some of us work 8-5 and if you don't sell after 6pm maybe you should have a sign up that's all I ask.

Horrible place for grooming, for ear cleaning normally they pluck the hairs out these guys would wipe it with a solution and take 30 bucks.

Called looking for live brine shrimp (this is a food for fish, like crickets for reptiles). Person who answered the phone did not know what I was talking about (did not know what brine shrimp were) but kept trying to answer about other ornamental shrimp they carry. I eventually gave up. Next time, please just refer me to the fish department or tell me no one from that department is there.

Three months ago, we got two parakeets from Petco. Shortly after, one fell ill, and we took him to Petco due to vital care. Tragically, he passed away on the same day. Conflicting statements from employees emerged – one mentioned a vet diagnosing a UTI, while another denied any vet consultation. Despite the loss, we got two more birds, and one has been lethargic since day one. Today, a vet confirmed a severe condition, not typical for animals sold by pet stores. The extensive tests cost over $500, yet our bird's health remains critical. Petco appears indifferent to the well-being of animals, selling pets that are already sick. The inconsistency in employees' statements adds to the distress. In the face of losing a beloved pet, their response is merely to ask for a receipt for a potential refund, displaying insensitivity and leaving us heartbroken.

I was helped by a very friendly customer service rep while shopping in the Sunnyvale store. I found what I needed and saw various products that I will likely return to buy in the future. I was just a little disappointed to find a dog gate that I had seen online wasn't available in the store. The customer rep tried to locate the item online but it wasn't available but she helped locate online another Item I needed. I like the products I found through Petco and had a pleasant experience thanks to the employee that helped me.

You treat your betta fish terribly. It is animal abuse. Ammonia is through the roof and all of them are sick!

We did the dog bath and dry. He looks and smells great. Added a bag treats and a ball to the purchase. Everyone I spoke with was courteous and helpful. Nice place! Visiting from out of state, but I would come back here.

I had just adopted a dog from the Humane Society and needed some supplies. Petco has everything you need. I was also really to see that Petco partners with the Humane Society to host adoption events.
