Found this place just because it was close to where I used to leave and got super lucky. The staff is really nice and they have helped keep my pup healthy and happy for the last 8 years.

Phenomenal practice, doctor, vet assistants, receptionists... I booked my dog about two months in advance, as the practice likes to devote an hour to new patients. It was worth the wait. Let me just how amazing Dr. Ardith Wang and the vet assistants were with my dog, a big GSD-mix baby.... The vet assistant was really receptive and skilled at making my dog feel more comfortable in the exam room as well as effectively communicating all of the information I spewed to Dr. Wang! Dr. Wang was so great with my dog - knowing that he was anxious. I greatly appreciate how she addressed all of my questions and reviewed the options and costs of treatment/tests that could be considered/addressed so that I could make informed decisions. The senior bloodwork costs were quite high at $298... I can't help but laugh when I think about the room full of women cuddling and consoling my dog whilst he was getting blood work done. Such a big baby! The team reached out to follow up on some records; and, Dr. Wang emailed me (day after his appointment) with the lab results. I am really impressed with their communication and follow-up. Most importantly, I greatly appreciate how they treat my dog like a real baby... how we'd want a people doctor to treat us!

Found pets friend after moving to this area and needing to find a new vet. Gave them a try because of the good reviews, it's a great clinic with friendly staff. Super attentive and they make you feel welcome. I've had a few different doctors after a few visits, very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. The doctor took the time to gently nudge my cat (along with my help) out of her carrier so they could complete her health exam. Overall great experiences each time I've visited.

TLDR; Dr. Koski is a great vet, the clinic is very busy, unsure if admin can keep up with services. My first time at this vet. Dr. Koski was super great with my cat, she took her time and answered all of my questions very thoroughly. I would highly recommend her. However, this clinic gets 3 stars due to their customer service. They seem to be very busy, and I feel there's diffuculty keeping up with demand. My cat was in pain, limping, and lethargic after a vaccine. Although they initially answered my concerns via email, they did not follow up with a price quote on pain meds they recommended if my cat's condition were to advance. Many pet owners, including myself, are weary of vets who overcharge for unnecessary services, so I always try to be up front about it and ask first (especially since my cat's teeth cleaning was quoted at 2k here). Luckily, my cat improved by day 3, but I would've appreciated more communication and transparency from my vet, especially bc my cat was in pain after her visit, which was incredibly distressing for me too. Dr. Koski recommended some dental food for my cat, and I had no idea I would need a prescription for that. I wish they wouldve told me and just given me the script right there, as I expressed every intention of getting the food. I do not live in Sunnyvale and drove here as they had great reviews. I asked for the prescription to be mailed to me, since Petsmart would not accept a digital copy. I didn't wanna keep bugging them for it bc they seemed pretty busy, and trusted they would do as they said. Fast forward, I've been waiting 3 weeks for this prescription to come in the mail, and have received conflicting info from admin on whether it was sent or not. Ive been assured it was sent twice- but after the 3rd week of not receiving it, I called back, and now there is no recollection of it ever going out, just that it needed to be sent. Very frustrating. I regret trusting it would come and resent having to chase them down for a prescription.

I made a mistake booking online instead of calling them for my dogs rabies shot and his anal glands. When booking online it says "Online booking is available for wellness and minor medical concerns" so I figured minor medical concern would be he is going crazy with an itchy behind. I mean isn't that a "minor" medical concern? Apparently it is "regular maintenance" even though he can go months and months without needing them done. I would consider nail clippings or flea meds a regular maintenance, not his itchy behind. I put the reason for the appt as: "rabies shot/anal glands" and they can see what I type in when I booked it. No one bothered to call me and tell me that was regular maintenance. I waited well over a week for the appt. Secondly whatever appt time you select be prepared to be waiting an extra half hour to 45mins. I called today and I suggested they update their website to say *NO REGULAR MAINTENANCE BOOKINGS ALLOWED*, but the guy just kept talking over me instead of acknowledging how the wording can be confusing. He said "clearly" this and that and didn't want to hear my opinion. He also told me that they don't read the reasons the customer fills out or even look at that. So why even have the option to fill that in if you don't read it? It takes 2 seconds to read the reason so maybe you guys should stop trying to overbook for quick money and run a quality business that actually takes the time to read what the customer fills in. This could have all been prevented had they worded their website differently and read what their clients fill out on their questionnaire. They once again will be losing a lifelong client that has been coming to pets friend for over 20 years (Yes my family and I have used them this long), but if this is how they treat customers who bring them good business that says A LOT about their work ethic and how much they value their clients. They have made a lot of money out of my family over the years and the fact they wanted to argue and act like they can't make room for improvement blows my mind. Maybe you guys should focus on your business and you won't keep getting so many bad reviews. Besides the rude guy I spoke with who can't ever be wrong, the ladies who help me with my dog and the doctors I have seen have always been pleasant.

I called to try to make an appointment but whoever picked up the phone was rude and didn't even listen to what I had to say. I don't think they had any compassion and were not understanding of the situation.

Dr. Koski and her staff are amazing. Dr.Koski is very knowledgable and patient. She can and willing to answer any questions you may have. They being taken care of my cat very gently and offered many good advices. I can tell they do love animals and do care about your pet. And that's the most important thing to me.

Now that we've been here, we don't take our maltipoo anywhere else! He's usually terrified of going to the vet. They were so patient and so gentle with him that we were actually able to get his injections, blood draw, and nails done! I'm so grateful to the team here. They're also so on top of his medical record. We were at Cherry Chase and ELC before. ELC was so terrible at actually writing down which shots he'd had and which tests he'd had. This clinic is so thorough and so organized!

My experience at Pet's Friend is that there is sufficient staff to see patients within one hour or less. The people at the front desk are welcoming and knowledgeable; the vet took time with my cat and spent time explaining things to me. Unfortunately, my cat was old and sick and is no longer with me. When I get another cat, Pet's Friend will be my clinic of choice.

Unfortunately, we will never be going back here. The staff is not trained well, they give incorrect information to clients, causing frustration and inefficiencies of customer time. We came here for an initial visit where I just needed the veterinarian to fill out a simple form for insurance. The vet was very thorough, so thorough that she listed every possible thing that could be wrong with my puppy - Mind you, not things that were ACTUALLY wrong with my puppy, but POSSIBLE issues that are common in my puppy's breed. Of course, the insurance takes this write up as a reason to deny future coverage of all these "possible" conditions. I'm sure the young vet (right out of vet school) was eager to flex her amazing knowledge, but this was not the forum for that. Oh and they also botched up a simple fecal exam, and had me waste a lot of time and money. We will never be going back here as a result! Thankfully, I took my business to another vet, who signed off on the insurance form and we were able to get coverage no problems. I just wasted vet fees and my time dealing with this nonsense. Stay away if you are looking for a new vet for a new pet!

I was reluctantly given a quote for a spay service that ended up totaling $1000. They wanted to book it and perform the service without giving the full details of the costs before hand. I have walked out multiple times paying much more than anticipated after being up sold without being given the prices before agreeing to the services. It’s a nice establishment, and will work fine for people who don’t mind walking out unexpectedly paying much more than anticipated. If you go here, it’s best to get very clear on what you will pay and don’t agree to anything else without getting a quote, because what they up sell you will add up quickly.

My dog Breck and I love Dr. Sari and the staff at Pet's Friend. Always a thorough diagnosis and conversation and they make sure your needs are met and that your pet is in the best shape they can be. They helped get Breck back in good shape after negligence from our previous vet, and there's a night and day difference in him with care from PFAC. We live in San Francisco and commute down to Sunnyvale to continue to see the vet and staff here. Breck loves all of the staff and is excited to see them all and say hello to everyone. He's apparently a favorite of the staff for being so well behaved and sweet!

Very happy with our experience. Was looking for a new puppy doctor after moving and am very pleased with Dr. Amy Lin. She was well versed in my previous veterinary records, and is clearly very competent. My pupper was very comfortable the entire time.

I brought my dog recently for a general checkup and learned that the focus of this office is to sell drugs and dog food - not to put time into your pet.
