I had a few questions about property sale and taxes in India + US. Sanjiv gave satisfactory answers to that. But overall it was an average experience because there are tax related points that I discovered later which Sanjiv should have covered in our conversation. Also, I didn't receive a call at the appointed hour and I had to call and check what was going on. Also, was rushed even though I had 9-10 minutes remaining in our 30-minute appointment. We finished 5 minutes early. I would have liked a more professional CPA.

Extremely bad service . No proper responses to emails , phone calls & calls forwarded to one to another. So very difficult to work with. May not be filing with these guys in future .

I walked in with my W2 & 1095-C (Medical coverage) only! Lady wanted to charge me $500! Unbelievable. Obviously not trying this place again.

Great tax return service by Sumathi and team. Overall experience was smooth and super responsive. I got one on one time to go through all the items and understand granular level details. This was my first time using Sanjiv Gupta CPA for tax purpose after using turbo tax for years. I am planning to use Sanjiv Gupta for next year as well.

Not sure about the great reviews, we found him to be very unprofessional and unhelpful when we had consultation with him. Can not communicate properly, charges per hour were very high but the information provided was not helpful. Overall found the work ethic to be bad.

I consulted with them to help understand the tax implications of buying our parent's house. We wanted to buy a property from our parents who are trying to create a retirement corpus for themselves. We needed to do this to allow them to feel the psychological safety of having a corpus, while trying to keep our family property. Sanjiv found the idea so absurd, and kept saying we should just inherit it and pay them sustenance. It's one thing to speak about the tax implications of doing one over the other. It's another to not have empathy for the problem at hand. This was absolutely substandard and waste of $150 for a grand total of 10 minutes with him.

Been doing taxes with them since many years now. Sanjiv helped me untangle a complicated situation with Indian real estate taxes. Since then, I haven't looked back. I've worked with both Sandhya and Swati, great experience. If you're a new customer, I recommend engaging early since it gets pretty busy during tax filing season.

This is the 2nd year we got our taxes done from Sanjiv Gupta CPA. Both times it was flawless. We were helped by Sujatha and she is excellent at it. She was detailed oriented, gave us a lot of information and took care of our FBAR as well. We are very happy that we did our taxes with Sanjiv Gupta CPA and glad that we worked with Sujatha.
