GREYSTAR MANAGEMENT IS A SHADY ILLEGAL BUSINESS!!I recently moved out of a Greystar property on December and they are outright refusing to refund my security deposit, which is blatantly violating California's tenant laws. It has been well over 60 days since I moved out, and despite constant phone calls and emails, they continue to give me the runaround with excuses instead of providing the required deposit refund or accounting statement.Their property manager has been entirely unhelpful, giving bizarre lecturing me about make-believe cleaning fees for my pristine apartment. The company seemed to intentionally stall and provide no clear information to try to discourage pursuing the deposit refund. They also shroud contact information everywhere online to make it extremely difficult to escalate issues or properly serve demands.I'm at my wit's end dealing with their shady stalling tactics designed to discourage me from pursuing the money they rightfully owe me.At this point, I'll left brutally honest reviews everywhere calling out their practices, and I'm preparing to take them to small claims court to attempt to finally get my deposit returned, plus the penalties I'm owed for their unlawful withholding of the money. Greystar is a deplorable company that appears to base its business model on illicitly withholding tenants' deposits through whatever manipulative tactics they can dream up. I'll be warning everyone I know to avoid renting from them at all costs.

I absolutely loved my experience at Savoy Apartments in Sunnyvale! From the moment I moved in, I was impressed by the modern and luxurious living spaces. The apartment layout was perfect for my needs, and the high-quality finishes made it feel like home right away. The amenities were top-notch, especially the fitness center and swimming pool, which I used regularly to stay active. The management team was incredibly responsive and always went above and beyond to ensure that everything was running smoothly. The location was also unbeatable, with easy access to major tech companies and plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. Overall, my time at Savoy Apartments was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for upscale living in Sunnyvale.

I had an exceptional experience at this luxury apartment complex. The amenities surpassed my expectations, offering a lavish living experience. Luis, the leasing agent, provided outstanding service, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness throughout the leasing process. Highly recommend!

Had the similar experience with Rachit, enjoyed the fancy facilities but had to leave because of the unreliable service and high rent, we lost about $2000 bc the non-responsive check-in/check out procedure. They won’t notify you 30 days before the leaving, I always couldn’t get response if you send them email. The folks are generally nice if you find them directly, so this might be a management problem. Hope they can improve in these areas.

Maintainence is very slow, took 4 days to fix one easy issue.

Unfair Charges at Savoy Apartments. Our experience at Savoy Apartments has been marred by unjustified fees. Despite leaving our unit in pristine condition, we were charged an extra painting fee. Moreover, our requests for a receipt regarding their cleaning charge have been consistently ignored. Disappointing and unexplained charges.

The amenities are very nice and the units themselves. However, the complex is not well maintained. The grass areas are full of dog poop that that sits for weeks. The property team does not keep the areas clean. It is disgusting to take your dog for a walk. The office team are unlikely to respond to multiple calls and emails. And unlikely to action until after multiple requests.

Apartment building is all nice, fancy, has all major amenities. Leasing office is helpful and staff working here are supportive. Storage unit security is a major concern here. We have had multiple incidents of break-ins at our storage space. If you plan to get an apartment, make sure your patio/balcony has storage unit, the common area units aren't safe if you want to store any thing of value.

Pros:Beautiful environment and luxurious amenities (5 stars): I've lived here for nearly 3 years and been consistently impressed by the well-maintained grounds, high-quality facilities, and overall upscale atmosphere. It truly offers a comfortable and enjoyable living experience.Cons:Communication challenges with management (1 star): Unfortunately, communication with the management team has been a recurring source of frustration. My attempts to reach them have often been met with delays, miscommunication, or unhelpful responses. This aspect definitely needs improvement to match the overall positive impression of the community.High trash fees: The combined cost of door trash pickup and community trash fees, at around $130 per month, feels excessive considering the standard offerings elsewhere.Frequent false fire alarms: The frequent occurrence of false fire alarms disrupts the sense of security and can be quite inconvenient.

So first off this is a burner email. Don’t want management retaliating. They set up these little signs in the mailbox area asking for the residents to share an enjoyable experience to get good google reviews. Let me tell you right now, this place is anything but enjoyable. Do not rent here. I have a long list of complaints which I have continually brought up to the management. They don’t care and will not do anything to address them. I have posted several pictures to backup my complaints. I have been here 8 months and am counting down the days to leave this disaster of an apartment complex1. Trash. This place has valet trash pick up. Put trash outside of your door between 7 pm and 9 pm. They start collection at 9 pm. On my floor there is trash out 24-7. Looks and smells like Market St. It’s not just my floor either. I have walked other floors and they are all the same.2. Trash (yes again). There are common cans in select areas around the buildings. It’s sad that they don’t empty these regularly. There was one time when there were maggots and flies in and around the can. Absolutely disgusting. See pictures (if you dare)3. Pets. While this is a pet friendly place, I hope you like dog barking at all hours of the day or night. They don’t care and won’t make it stop.4. Pets (yes again). Most residents with pets don’t care about anyone but themselves. I have physically stepped in dog poop in the hallway (on my floor) and had to dodge piss in the elevators. Don’t even get me started about the poop in the outside pet area that nobody cleans up or the fact that residents let their pets pee and poop on the sidewalks in the outside common areas and by the pools.5. Security. Good luck. Most can’t speak English or are too busy on their phones or joyriding the golf cart. The garage “security” doors are constantly broken. Anyone can come in or out. I have seen 2 vehicles with broken windows while in the parking deck (see picture).6. Security (yes again). Residents constantly let delivery drivers “piggyback” when they come in and let them on the elevators. I don’t think I like the idea of people just being “let in”.7. Security (yup you guessed it. Again). This is not confirmed but I’m sure you can find the police report from Sunnyvale PD. A few weeks ago 10 cop cars were downstairs between the buildings. Apparently a resident went to speak with another about excessive noise and had a gun pulled on him. Just saying.8. Parking. Another good luck with this one. The parking deck is horrible if you have a larger vehicle. If you stay on the first, second, or third floor, and get home after 7, you won’t find a parking spot on your floor. You will have to park on four or five. While they do state it’s first come first serve, it sucks to have to drive up to five and take the elevator to the first floor. Then back up to 5 just to have to drive all the way back down. If you by some chance have made it this far and actually come take a tour, make them take you to the garage and have a look. The majority of the cars in the deck have scratches from where they scrape the walls.9. Parking (yes again). If you drive a hybrid or electric vehicle, don’t think you can charge it here. While there are plenty of charging stations, they are always blocked with people who aren’t charging and the occasional gas vehicle. When I asked about it they told me we need pictures. What?? Can’t you walk over there and look? I ended up taking over 100 pictures of the people blocking the stations. Guess what. Nothing. I work late, so when I get home all the station are blocked and the ones on the upper floors don’t even work.10. Staff. There are some good ones and some horrible ones. The worst is the female that sits to the right as you are looking at the building. She had the audacity to call me names. I was like “excuse me”. Absolutely no help for a very mundane problem. She was like “oh well”.I am out of characters. Please stay tuned for part 2. LOL. Seriously read the next one.

Future and current residents beware: Greystar charges exorbitant move out fees and produces fraudulent documents to justify them. In some cases, it’s 4K+. Not joking. In my friend’s case, even with photo and video evidence, they refuse to adjust the bill and leave you with the options of either paying up or sending the bill to collections. They count on you to just give in and pay.DO NOT fall into the traps of scammy business like this and protect your rights by taking legal actions if you find yourself in such situations.

Holy moly, this place has dropped 2 whole stars since they opened! It's clear Savoy is trying to outpace GOOG's stock drop after the release of chat GTP - and so far, so good! This place is truly a marvel in its ability to redefine the concept of living comfortably.Let's start with the package room – a space that brilliantly emulates chaos theory. If you are touring this property, this is a must-see. It's like a treasure hunt every time I want to retrieve a package...budget at least 15 minutes per package! I've always believed that a good scavenger hunt is key to a well-rounded living experience and Savoy knocks it out of the park. As they say: who needs a clean and organized package room when you can have an adventure? And then there's the parking sitch – a true testament to avantgarde engineering. Whoever came up with the idea of creating a labyrinth for residents to navigate clearly missed their calling as a maze architect. The ramps in the garages are so narrow any car larger than a Miata will scrape so get your checkbooks ready for that new paint job! Now, let's talk about the piece de resistance...the property managers. The way they effortlessly balance rudeness and indifference is truly an art - it's like they attended a masterclass in customer service and promptly decided it wasn't for them.Living at Savoy is an experience like no other. It's not just an apartment complex - it's a lifestyle choice. If you enjoy daily surprises in the package room, the thrill of parking garage near-misses, and the dulcet tones of the indifferent employee staff, then look no further – you've found paradise!
