“The staff was courteous and polite. The hotel room was clean however because the governor Gavin Newsom, the taxes are incredibly high it was half as much again what it cost for the room for taxes.”
“Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean room. All you would ever want. Dinged one star as the walls are paper thin and I could hear the person's next door TV all night.”
“Room was clean and comfortable. It was located on Hwy 36, right along our route. Wi-Fi worked well.
There is a Lumberjacks restaurant sharing the parking lot with the motel. We visited the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast the next morning. The motel provides a voucher for a complimentary breakfast at the restaurant using a scaled down breakfast menu. Even with the scaled down menu there are plenty of choices. There was a rush right when the restaurant opened at 7AM.”
“Thank you for having a Gideon Bible in the room! It made everything else perfect! Room was clean. Beds were clean. The cleaning staff were amazing. Place was quiet at night. Don't judge a book by the cover! I'd stay again!”

“Delightful old-school motel on Main Street in Susanville.
I was en route to an annual event near Adin, CA and needed a place to stay the night before. In the past, I've approached Adin from the west and would spend the night in an RV park east of McArthur, CA. This year I was approaching Adin from the south and decided to spend the night before in Susanville. Folks in Adin suggested I consider the Apple Inn Motel.
The hosts, Jay and Lorna, were super friendly and hospitable.
I originally booked for a single night, but a last minute change of plans meant that I needed a room for 2 nights, arriving a day early. Initially it looked like there was no space, but Jay did some juggling and was able to accommodate my need for a 2-night stay.
Room was very clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, quiet. Exactly what I needed.
Since the event near Adin is something I attend every year, I plan to route my approach through Susanville going forward so I can return to the Apple Inn Motel.”
