This was our first time dining at the CH Pub and had I not chatted with the Head Chef down at Ski Hill restaurant, I never would have stumbled upon it. This is a hidden gem and a refreshing departure from the chain-y, overpriced tourist traps and fine lakeside dining in town. The restaurant itself is in the main lodge and is a throwback to earlier days. The atmosphere is cozy, clean and cheerful. The food was a pleasant surprise. The ahi poke cones, elk pot pie and schnitzel were all recommended. The poke cones were enormous, fresh and presented in handmade wonton-like cones. The elk pot pie and schnitzel (which comes three ways) were delicious. Everything is fresh, homemade and made with care. It's family friendly and the value exceptional. Only downside is that it took us awhile to locate the restaurant due to poor lighting and signage. In the dark all of those buildings look the same...or maybe that's the way they like it? We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and may even try it again tomorrow night as we didn't have enough room for dessert!

We had a wonderful dinner experience here last night. We have been here many times and it was always good but the menu and quality have been raised under new leadership. I have eaten a lot of meat and vegetable pot pies over the years but the elk pot pie here was the BEST I've ever had. Beautiful to look at, a light almost croissant-like flaky crust and a savory inside loaded with delicious tender meat. My wife had their classic chicken schnitzel which now comes with a choice of three sauces. She went with the pepper and onions and loved it. Because the portions are large and we are seniors, we both planned on eating half and taking the rest home. Both our plates were emptied, though, as we didn't want to stop when we reached our target. Our server was a very nice young lady from South Africa, very friendly and professional. There were a lot of families present but the cabin atmosphere and roaring fire with ample space between the tables made for a quiet, comfortable experience. There is a limited selection of wines by the glass but those available are good and priced reasonably. Check this place out. We are already looking forward to our next visit when we return to the Tahoe area.

Cozy pub that can accommodate all size groups. Smallish menu but something for everyone. Fair prices and good food. The wines by the glass are very reasonable too. There are also nightly specials and Friday has yummy Fish and Chips. The staff works together to get people seated and waited on quickly. They are all friendly and nice.

The beef wellington dinner was really good. The artichoke shaved salad was not good. The service was great. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint. I would come back if I was staying there, but would not make a special trip to come out.

This was a family get-together for 6 adults and a toddler. The staff were down one person, but you would never have known it. They stepped up, and service was flawless. The bartender is skilled, the wine selection was good, and the interesting food choices included some for our vegetarian diners. I highly recommend this restaurant for an apres ski meal.

Cozy pub on premises. Nice menu with a wide variety of choices. Fair prices and nice friendly service. Wine/drink prices are good for Tahoe and wine pour is generous. We eat here every time we visit Tahoe. They have daily specials, Build your own salad and several favorites like schnitzel and Burgers. It's a smallish room so neat to reserve.

Cedar house Pub has become one of my favorites as the food is very, very good and the ambiance pleasant to enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price compared to other restaurants in town.

The wait staff are talkative and fun. The fireplace ia very nice to sit around and have a cocktail before or after dinner or just read “yr phone” and relax. Make a reservation! The the bartender can make anything you want!!

Cedar House has delicious food, a great wine selection, superb service, and a wonderful rustic ambiance with a roaring fire in the large stone fireplace. They have a very varied menu that everyone can be happy with. And the prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere and the staff is top notch, working hard to make up for what appears to be a bit of a staffing shortage. The wood burning fire place makes this place so cozy and inviting.

The venue was decorated nicely and the DJ was a great touch. The staff were very friendly. We had a reserved table which was a further nice touch. The food for the event was generally good. Overall a good experience. A few suggestions. The event was a bit understaffed. While the food overall was good there were a few dishes that were too fancy for the event, and didn't hit the mark.

Hygge dreams come true! The most cozy winter dining room, complete with rustic wood cabin interior, large stone fire place sitting area, casual small town atmosphere giving Cheers vibes, and the most hardworking, hospitable staff. Ask for Lukas who year after year has been the most friendly host in the dining room, at the bar, and out back in the woods lumbering away. And the F&B is always offering top tier comforts - tonight's steak & au gratin and Irish coffees really hit the spot. Can't wait to go back.

Food is reasonably good but we waited a really long time even after reserving one of the first spots of the evening. The service was hit or miss with some great but also some disgruntled waiters. Service seemed very disorganized, not working as a team - maybe missing a leader? No idea. Food was served quickly (after a super long wait >1h) on day 1 but it was really good so we were ok with coming back again but then on day 2 we reserved an early spot (5:15pm!) with the hopes that service would be good and fast but this time service was slow but also food was slow to arrive after we had placed the order. Super frustrating. Also the same dish we had ordered the day prior which was really good on day 1 was subpar on day 2. No idea why they didn't follow the same recipe for the same item... We've decided not to go back.

Amazing old school Tahoe experience! The fire was roaring and the service was fantastic. The food was so delicious. We started with the blue cheese fondue which was perfect. Then for the main course we had the chicken schnitzel wow! It was so good. Love this place we'll be back. 5 stars

The restaurant is casual, but very warm and inviting with a big fireplace. Our server, Lucas, could not have been better. He is very meticulous about the order, but so warm and very funny. His team is very attentive, but doesn't hover. They were very kind to get the food out immediately for the 3 year old and her little sister. Grilled cheese is just bread and American cheese. The mulled wine is sooo good, better than some we've had in Europe. The Whitehall Merlot is the wine to order - very good and really reasonably priced. The hot cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps is great! The olive bread with butter was excellent! Make your own salad is your own creation made from a list of from great ingredients. We order the Norwegian Charcuterie boards, which are our favorites. The ahi cones were quite good but not much kick, which we would have liked. The fish and chips is excellent. We were so sad they had run out of Elk Pot Pie! My husband had had that and it was really good. The schnitzel could have been improved with a better sauce. It was a little gloppy. But all in all, we love this place and it is very reasonably priced.
