I was blown away by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. You can really tell they have a passion for sweets and making people happy.

The man behind the counter knew everything about everything in the shop. Candy is already fun, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Best experience at a candy shop in recent memory.

Get ready for the experience of the lifetime walking into this candy shop!!! there’s not a candy shop like this in the entire world!!! With candies from all over the world and the owner is like being in a candy store with Willy Wonka running it!!! He’s eccentric, entertaining, and has the funniest sense of humor and has a genius level of knowledge or candies and chocolates!!!! He probably gives out thousands of dollars of free chocolates a day!! This is my favorite experience when I come to Tahoe and I look forward to visiting the store every time I come and pray that it will always be there!! Most magical candy store Ive ever been in and the experience is unmatched!

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would! This is the best kept secret in Tahoe! We come all the way up from Sacramento just to get the chocolate made here!

They have nostalgic candy I haven't seen or eaten since I was 10 years old. The young man who was telling me everything about all the candy was very cool and helpful. He let me try 3 or more candies which were pretty good. I bought about $20 worth of custom chocolates that were unique and tasted good. When I was looking at the bitter chocolate chocolates the older guy said to save those for the desperate people. I guess I'm not worthy to try a or buy a bitter chocolate. Seemed suspicious and tbh it bothered me for the rest of the day. After reading the other reviews for this place it seems the shadiness could've meant something else.... Not worth the copium anymore. The world is burning and at the brink of world war and copium addicts and normal people are acting like it will never come to them or hurt them.

What a delight! Walking around the area we stumbling upon this adorable candy shop. The owner welcomed us as we came in and offered us a few rounds of tasty samples. With a large variety to choose from we came to a conclusion to get a little of everything.I rarely find places where it’s clear to see the owner put true passion into their work, but this place is one of them - a true gem.I’m excited for our next visit!

A hidden gem - lots of good candy options including imported options. Pre-bagged candy (not by the pound) and homemade chocolates available. The ice cream is also good but limited flavors.

Walked in to the store today and started looking around at which candy my husband and I wanted to buy. I start looking at things and picked up one that looked yummy and the old man working told me in a very rude loud voice don't squeeze that it will explode. I didn't think I was squeezing it just holding the sides and I said oh I'm sorry I didn't know it would do that. He responded that if I didn't even know what kind of candy that was to just put it down and don't touch it. The whole point of a candy store is to try new things and I was holding it to buy it and try it. This man made me not want to spend a single penny in this place.

I came, looking to get some coffee, out of necessity, for the drive in front of me. Good: chocolate seems good, homemade in house. Coffee not so bad. They were open the latest, of all the places that serve to go coffee in the area Bad: there is so much to say here. For starters, the layout and ambiance actually looked a little scary. Dark, messy, I wasn't even sure if they were open, until I noticed the open sign. There is way too much junk. They should just focus on their homemade chocolate and ice cream and coffee on the side. Instead, the whole place, is littered with touristy candy trinkets and tacky souveneir shop type candies. Behind the counter is loaded with paperwork, cardboard boxes. Office equipment. My stomach started to churn. It looks like they don't clean it at all. Simplify and clean it up. Service: while the staff were not mean, they were a little pushy, and whispering to each other about which tourist they were going to offer samples to. It's as if they see tourists as stupid, and only want to extract as much as they can get out of them. It's like vultures lining up for the kill. I looked at one of the candy novelties, put it back down, and then one of the staff guys came immediately and repositioned it and remarked that he wishes everything was put back in order. He made me feel embarrassed that I did something major wrong. I should have just left right then, but didn't. As for pricing, I was stupid for even buying something there. I think they may have raised it just for the holiday weekend. The one piece of chocolate, showed $39 a pound, which came out to be $4 for a piece. If I am going to pay that, there are much better chocolate places in truckee and Virginia city. I bought it anyway. Along with a double espresso shot, that took a long time. Well, at least I'm glad I didn't pay $6 for the single scoop ice cream or anything else.I would never go back. Someone needs to remodel the whole place, remove 70% of the junk package food in the counters, and train the staff to be courteous.Maybe they might change. Who knows

We are from NY and were visiting some relatives here in Tahoe and one of our stops was this truly eclectic candy and ice cream shop. What a nice experience. The proprietor was so friendly and was very generous giving us some delicious samples of his candy. Hopefully, we'll make it back here if we visit Tahoe again!

This store is alright in terms of selection, but the older man working behind the counter is rude and disrespectful. He called a child a moron for not closing the front door behind him, and refused to help me pick out chocolates by meeting any request with a rude joke. Sure, he gives free samples but it’s not worth the experience.
