In this day and age I've come to expect less-than-stellar customer service but that doesn't mean I'm willing to get used to it. It DOES matter that you get the details right and it DOES matter that you are presenting yourself professionally- business owners and managers are not exempt. Snarky remarks are totally unnecessary and definitely unappreciated, thank you very much. When I call 24 hours AFTER my bike is supposed to have been done, I don't appreciate being told, "Well did you get a call?? Then it's probably NOT done, riiight???" Thanks for NOT bothering to ask any questions and to act as though I'm too stupid to do business with you. On second thought.....

I came by this place twice, since my first experience was garbage, wanted to give it another shot. Turns out, second time was just as garbage of an experience. Moved here from SF, this place is down the street from my house. I'm used to having a bit of a wait for getting my road bikes tuned up. Totally understandable. Guy basically told me they're not taking any bikes. Weird to be rude about it lol. Second time I came here, asking about some tires for my bike, looking for a specific size, brings me not the size I asked for.I assumed he got me what i asked for since he didn't say anything. Tires weren't packaged. Got home and saw he gave me a different tire size. I drove back and told him he gave me the wrong tire size than I requested. He said it's fine. Because of my height and weight, I use very specific tire size to avoid issues while riding. If you didn't have it, just say that. Clearly the shop wants to sell new bikes, assume customers are morons (selling a lot of cheap bikes at very steep prices), and because they're the only shop in Demonte Ranch can get away with being rude/overpriced/crap to old people. Honestly, I think most people come here since it's the only bike shop nearby. There are much better customer service oriented bike shops in south Reno. Due yourself a favor, find a better shop.

Mike and Dolan hooked me up quick changing out both my tubes in under two hours on my mountain bike. They were helpful, polite and thankful also. I basically called at 1pm, they said come on over, I was there 10 minutes later and they got me setup. I highly recommend High Sierra Cycling.

Just bought a Bike from a private seller in Reno and took it into High Sierra to get it dialed in. The kind people running the shop were super friendly and knowledgeable and got my bike just where I want it. I would 100% recommend going to High Sierra for anything Bike related!

Won my loyalty by outstanding customer service. They helped me out when my bike needed a quick and simple repair, so I went back to them when it was time for a new bike. This locally owned bike shop supports the cycling community and deserves our support in kind.

Enormous THANK YOU to the crew at High Sierra Cycling for going above and beyond to get me and my trusty steed back out on the trail! Everyone in the shop was super friendly and helpful. The mechanics were knowledgeable and fixed my bike quickly and effectively and even fixed a shifting problem I've had for months without me even mentioning it! Highly recommended!!!

Been going to this local "Mom and Pop shop" for years. Had great service at REI for the bike I bought there 17 years ago, but wanted to give the biz to the folks around the corner. Have never regretted. Was thinking it might be time for a new bike, but my recent tune-up and new tires has me falling in love with my old bike all over again. The bike runs amazing, some of the adjustments make it sweeter than ever and it looks hella cool. I love these folks!

We came here to rent a road bike for my boyfriend's Mammoth ride and found the staff to be super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! The rental process was very smooth and the rental bike came with water bottle cages, saddle bag, and inner tube. I also test rode one of the Liv road bikes they had available, and they seemed happy to help and were not pushy at all. I highly recommend them if you're in the area and looking to buy or rent a bike!

Unless you are looking to pay full price for a bike and then never go back to this shop again, avoid it. I gave them at least a half dozen tries, each time walking away telling myself never to go back. Right from the energy flowing out of the shop when you walk in, to the horrible mechanical service, which takes days to weeks, and at the highest expense I've seen in Reno, this place makes me cringe. Let's snot forget the arrogance and in ability to listen because the owner would rather try to boast his own knowledge and experience. There are some great shops in Reno, don't settle for this added stress or headache.

Awesome knowledgeable people. Every time I've gone in with an issue or question about my bike or a product they have been able to answer and get me what I need.

Oh my gosh these guys are the best. First they answered the phone when I called. Second they actually had a bike I could rent! Third they were open on Sunday afternoon - the only time I had to bike. And most of all they were so kind and helpful. I'm not a very experienced biker and had never ridden the great bike they had for me - when I came back within 5 minutes to ask how the heck the gears worked, they were totally tolerant and sweet. Bonnie was especially great, offering to come and get me if I had any disasters on my ride. What gems!! I will definitely rent from here again next time I am in Reno.

Thx for the emergency support on my ride - I had two flats with only one spare tube. Luckily I was less than a mile from their store so was able to walk over and get two new tubes, CO2 cartridges and I was back on the road 30 mins later. Many thx!!!

Awesome bike shop and service. Really friendly staff and knowledgeable when it comes to service and repair. I haven't been on my bike in a while and wanted. To make sure everything was working properly. High Sierra Cycling did an amazing job tuning up my bike and getting it back to to me quickly. Went out for a ride and could tell the difference because the gears were shifting smoothly! Thank you High Sierra Cycling for getting me back on the road.

Not only do they have the best bikes services but they go above and beyond. They offer weekly rides from beginners and everyone on up. These experiences are priceless. They’ve become like family and they treat us like family.

Following a horrific bike crash years ago, Mr. Mike treated me like gold. Helped me find my replacement ride for a fraction of the price of the other guys. 25,000 miles later and lots of tune-ups, tubes, and 'stuff', it's almost time for the next bike. I trust them so much, I've been back so they could help my parents and my son select their bikes. Three generations riding on High Sierra bikes. Fantastic service at a great price. Gotta love Mike and Bonnie!
