I was just reflecting on when I used to take classes here and felt I should write a review, as I had a very positive experience that I carry with me to this day. I took classes in 2018 to help manage anxiety, panic attacks, as well as some neurological issues. I most regularly took classes with Leticia Willingham and Nona Chiang, and occasionally with Beth Prandini. With the support and guidance of these teachers and the by showing up to my practice as often as I could (I tried to go at least 4-5x a week) I was really able to get my panic attacks under control and feel less stress regarding my neurological challenges (which also abated considerably). I carry a lot of gratitude for what these instructors have imparted, as it is far more than I was ever able to achieve otherwise. I really can't recommend yoga (classes specifically - as I really think the environment makes a difference over home practice) enough to others who are struggling with mental health as well as other physical ailments. The studio itself is wonderful, clean, serene. The men's locker room never has more than at most 3 people in it, as it seems there are less men who practice at this location in general than women. The showers are absolutely utopic, and I loved showing up a little early so I could settle in and enjoy tea at the tea station in the lobby before class. I eventually left the studio due to my finances not really making it a sustainable expense - as well as a possibility that would be moving away. However (once this pandemic is over and work begins again) I'd really like to shift my budget around and figure out a way to make it work someway, as the regular gym nor home practice has really been able to take the place of going to class.

Very appreciative of the level of personalized service this place provides on top of the variety of classes and teachers it offers. We're all on "vacation" right now (coronavirus social distancing in play). But when I reached out with a question via email, I not only received a very helpful reply from manager Tiffiny Binstock, but also a *kind* reply -- even amidst everything else going on. That is a level of service that's missing from so many businesses these days. I'm grateful.

I came here as a free guest once because my friend had asked me to. They first made me sign in with my phone number and email-- which is fine (there's an issue with this later). I took the class with my friend, which honestly wasn't the greatest in my opinion. It bored me and the instructor was a bit snobby. But what irks me about this place is the way the employees treat you and the way they try to sell you a membership. First off, after the class was over, I was putting on my shoes near the studio that I was just in, and my friend had asked me one question. Right as I answered, the employee at the front desk MARCHED over towards me and said "shush!!!" because there was a class going on. Calm down, we were just talking. Even if the class heard us speak 1 sentence, they wouldn't even care as much as ya'll do. If anything, her "shush!!!" was louder than we were... It's also been more than a month, and I have been getting constant emails and phone calls from them to purchase a membership. I've told them numerous times I'm happy with my current gym, and only came to this class once because my friend asked me to. Keep in mind, I've been nice every time and even talk to them for a good 5 minutes. I still get numerous phone calls to the point where I get voicemails too. I've just decided to block their number. Enough is enough, stop berating your customers when they kindly tell you no once. If anything, it doesn't make me want to sign up at all nor does it make me want to recommend it!

I have been coming to Yogaworks since it first opened for lots of classes over the years. Since I injured my back a few years ago and my Doctor recommended Pilates I have been a try hard regular to Melissa's reformer classes and love it. Melissa is great and pays attention to us all, nurturing our individual needs regardless of the number of people in the class. She has gradually helped me build my strength and prevent on going back problems, which has changed my life! She is dedicated, caring and highly professional and I am a dedicated follower.

Pilates at Yogaworks is amazing! Melissa G. is absolutely the best instructor I have had in the past 15 years. Because of her excellent training and deep knowledge of classical style, Melissa is the perfect trainer for both the novice and experienced student. Her classes are tailored to meet the practice level of each student. At the same time she keeps class flowing and uniform. I only wish Yogaworks offered more classes early morning and evenings so that beginning, intermediate and experienced students could have more of a selection that was better suited to meet everyone's level needs.

I was late by one minute and was not let into the class. I drove in from Burbank and braved 45 minutes of traffic. While driving in, the old lady dropped her ticket, slowly got out to pick it up, slowly got back in- the 2 or 3 minutes it took her to do that made me miss a class I rushed for 45 minutes to get to. I have been a member for a few years, but this situation has stressed me out more than once now.

This place could be much better. They don't offer that many classes after 5 which it's hard for me by the time I get home from works I can not make it to the classes that I would like to go. Saturday's Skylar is horrible and he doesn't fix your posture, while you do your own thing he does his own workout and he doesn't even look at you. No wonder his classes are empty. Don't waste your money they way I did at this place!

Started taking Pilates at Yogaworks in Tarzana about a year ago and just love everything about it. The studio is so clean and everyone is so friendly. Have been taking Pilates 3 times a week from Melissa. I am hooked! She is a great teacher and very hard working. Big thank you to Yogaworks and Melissa for getting me into shape! Feeling healthy and happy!

I have paid Yogaworks more than $1.000 dollars. I've been going to this studio for a year. One day, I had to cancel my membership (because I had to take cycling classes for my knees). When I placed a cancelation request, it appears, that they've just charged me for the new month. Since it's been only a few days and I did not take any classes with during this billing month, I asked to refund me the money. At first, the receptionist told me that they absolutely can not do it. After listening to her lecture about the studio policy, she said that she will give the manager my message. Nobody called me. I called the studio back and the same girl told me that Tarzana Studio does not have a manager, she is on maternity leave. If I want to talk to a sub-manager, then I have to pay him hourly for his time, because my situation is not urgent. Once the manager will be in the studio, he will call me, but probably it will be at the beginning of the next week. I called 2 more times and finally, I was able to talk to sub-manager, Ken. He told me that I have to remember the contract that I signed a year ago. Even if I did not take any classes within this billing cycle, they are not going to give me a refund. I told the manager that I've been going to the studio for a year and I am a loyal customer. I am asking for a refund only because I did not take any classes this month and it's been only a few days. The manager replied that as a loyal customer I should read and understand their policy. I have paid more than $1.000 dollars for the last year and this is how I was treated. I understand the word "policy", but the manager's task is to resolve the situation and make the customers feel valued and willing to come back. I experienced the opposite effect. After talking to a manager, I never want to comeback to the studio.

Chaz thank you for the great yoga, great exercise and the way to vent my frustrations and bad moods in a fun and constructive way. I've been taking your class for just about 4 years and became a different person both physically and mentally. I tried classes with different instructors at this studio. Though some of them are good , no one compares to you. So here it is: THANK YOU

Really great space and nice staff. Alexandra Lauterio was the teacher for the restorative class was awesome... kind of a relax in great poses and meditate. I will be going back for those. Megan emailed me after I had been to class to make sure I was happy and to see if there were other classes I might be interested in. She sent me a list of the classes that I should be able to do during my recovery. I really appreciated that since I couldn't really tell from the class titles. They will give you a key fob for easy check in too!

I like this establishment very clean, instructors are awesome. And they have a ton of classes! I started with an awesome promotion on Groupon for the Tarzana location. But after it was over, I feel like the prices are too high, I would like to return, but $120 a month, no thanks. I travel too much and I wouldn't benefit from it. I'll choose another place with more reasonable prices. I don't use the shower, so for those who need to, maybe this is for them. The staff really tries to get you to join long term. Which I know is their job, however there comes a point where they're too pushy. For a place you would want to go for peace and tranquility I would think a more humble approach is better. Not a sales approach. I won't name the person, but she was calling and emailing me so much that it seemed like they couldn't pay their rent! Like chill out lady! If I join I join! If not then that's ok too!

I have been coming to Yogaworks Tarzana for almost 6 years. All of their instructors have such an attention to detail and safety. Beth Prandini, Chrissy Beutel, Leticia Wellingham, Kate Beletic and Scott Hobbs just stand out. A shout out to the training program, I have never had a class or instructor that I didn't feel comfortable with. I have been to a few of their other locations, Woodland Hills, Hollywood Vine & Fairfax and Brentwood, but ease of parking and their wonderful staff makes Tarzana my home. The levels and options, plus the number of classes keeps the class sizes down to where you feel well instructed and an appropriate workout in each class. I do yoga when I travel in other states. Nothing compares to these instructors. Sorry I did not name every instructor that I have had, because I am grateful for each and every one of them.

Yogaworks has a name in the yoga game because they have been able to maintain a great quality of instruction in their classes and in their trainings. YW Tarzana has a solid variety of classes to choose from alignment based vinyasa, Iyengar yoga, Hatha, restoratives and more. The facility is one of the nicest of YW studios in LA. Parking is free with validation up to 2 1/2 hrs. My only critique is that I wish they monitor the studio rooms each day to make sure there are enough props for the capacity of the room. For some reason the props get moved around too often and no one redistributes them back to each studio.
